Great for homes with Apple ecosystem

Although it works good without those items when you do use them it can open up various home automation options. The device is solid and reliable and integrates well with any TV.

Another good apple product

I like the fact that it's easy to use, supports HDR & Dolby Vision. I just have one complaint, why it's only 3 stars. The Apple TV will show up as an audio device on the iPhone. In other words, when you make or receive calls and select the speaker phone it shows as an audio device like a Bluetooth headset would. Beyond annoying, and according to all the forums the only way to turn that off is to take the phone off WiFi.

Pricey, but works

If you are just looking for a way to cut the cord and stream, there are cheaper options. I own this, a roku+ streaming stick and 3 fire cube tvs. Of them all the Fire Cubes are my favorite. Note: the remote that somes with Apple TV is simply horrible. No other way to describe it. For a company who has become so famous for optimizing the user experience, they really stubbed their toes with this remote. 3 stars due to remote and price
