I personally think that this is the best streaming device. Really nice 4K HDR content, plus access to the best streaming apps (Roku doesn't have HBO Max for instance). It also makes it really easy for casting/controlling with an iPhone, and listening with AirPods.

I have owned several generations of Apple TV. I bought this to replace a gen 3 for the multi-room technology so that I can play audio on one and send it to the others... A feature the gen 3 didn't have. very happy with this purchase.

A converted fan!

All have their pros and cons, but moving back to this version of the Apple TV has been great, it appears Apple did their homework, and the extra features like Airplay from my phone, laptop or ipad is wonderful, as well as Siri.

It's fast to run apps, and crashes are few and far between. The hardware is excellent and includes both HDR10 and Dolby Vision, so things will look just about as good as they can on a 4K display. I use Apple TV with my Qnap NAS Drive and it works great
