I needed to download the SlingTV app and was able to with this generation of AppleTV. This unit will turn your TV on or switch your TV's inputs automatically making it very easy to use, also you can control the volume of your TV with AppleTV remote.

If you’ve ever used a Roku and an Apple TV, you know which one is better. Has pretty good gaming potential as well, but that is kind of underdeveloped. Sneaky Sasquatch is a great game, though!
