Theres really nothing special about AppleTV The only thing Id say is important enough to mention is that it natively access Apple featured products. Voice control? Yes but so does Amazon Fire TV and Google Chromecast, or Android TV devices. I have to say this has the stupidest remote control ever invented. Its so easy to accidentally touch the touch control area and get a response you didn't want. For instance, while typing this review, my office Apple TV remote was on the desktop by my wrist and I accidentally touched it. Now CNN is paused This happens when picking up to. The top and the bottom (forehead and chin) look so similar you can't tell the difference in the dark. Grab it by the top (forehead) you just did something you didn't want. Lastly, OVERPRICED, but then you knew that because its an Apple product.

OUTSTANDING PICTURE WHEN USING THE 4K FEATURE. MENU IS EASY TO NAVAGATE BETWEEN TV SHOWS AND MOVIES. HIGHLY RECOMMAND THIS FOR STREAMING.

We recently bought a Sony Bravia 4K TV from Best Buy and the first additional purchase was to upgrade our AppleTV to the 4K model. The interface looks beautiful on the new TV. Blacks are amazing. The AppleTV feels like it is faster and the minor enhancements to the remote are much appreciated. Well worth the additional investment.

Bought a 4K Apple TV to augment my cable subscription on a new 4K TV. Not only does it add a nearly endless supply of APPs but the picture quality is superior to cable (be sure you purchase a high quality / high speed HDMI cable which is not included). If you are an iPhone or iPad user, you’ll be very comfortable as the Apple TV navigation through the “ecosystem” is nearly identical. Have seen some negative reviews about the included remote, but we absolutely love it. Certainly more expensive that other options but it’s worth it. Highly recommend.

I have had all the apple TVs and am excited that we are inching closer to chord cutting being not just the most affordable option but also the most customer friendly, content rich and Bach for the best picture quality. Once Apple strikes a few more deals, this will be even better!

I use the Apple TV to project from my ipad to the tv, and also to rent high quality movies on my 4K television. I’m very happy with the ease of use and the quality.

Already in an Apple TV ecosystem, but the 4K upgrade on a 4K television is a marked improvement on image quality across all content. System is also more responsive and the simple Siri remote modification is welcomed.

This is the 4th one we have in our home. I like the streaming capabilities and have a movie library it picks up from an external drive. With all the TV/Movie apps and now Amazon TV/Movies don't need a cable box in some rooms and can delete the cable box and save on the rental.

I own a ton of 4k movies and this makes them look better than Vudu. Remote is a bit of a pain, wish it just had buttons, but voice commands work pretty good.

I absolutely love the new Apple TV...clearer picture, faster, more intuitive, better remote, easier to navigate. From top to bottom this is the Apple TV to get.

There are a few minor issues I have with the new incarnation of Apple TV, however it produces beautiful picture and is so much easier to use than other streaming devices!

I really didn't want to purchase this product at the price point* but it works well for my 93 year-old mother-in-law. She uses this solely for the purpose of showing her ipad contents on TV *she really needs the mirror capabality). It works perfectly for her so I am happy. *There are so many casting devices / media boxes available that are better value than Apple TV's. With the recent announcement that many TV's will be equipped with Apple TV functions, I would advise anyone to think twice before buying this product. On the other hand, for people that are only comfortable in the Apple ecosystem like my mother-in-law, Apple TV is the only product that linke a TV with an iphone or ipad seamlessly. I wish I had picked an older version of Apple TV for cheap (I am sure my mother-in-law could not appreciate 4K resolution, not has any need for the 32GB storage) a few years ago. But I tested out a few cheap devices that claimed to do mirroring but none works consistently and I finally gave up. So do I recommend this to a friend? Yes or No. It depends.

This Apple TV gives us all the apps we need to enjoy the rare times we can sit down to watch a show! Easy to use, and clear picture.

I had an apple TV before but it wasn't 4K. Bought a 4K TV and needed to update. Great product but a little high on the price.
