Customers are saying
Customers commend the TV 4K 64GB (2nd Generation) for its excellent remote, ease of use, and impressive picture quality. Many also praise the device's 4K capabilities, smooth streaming performance, and intuitive interface. While some users find the price a bit high, the positive feedback on the user experience outweighs this concern for most. Storage capacity is another area of mixed opinions, with some users wishing for more storage options.

Expensive but Still High Value.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was very skeptical and hesitant to make such an expensive purchase compared to the price of an Amazon 4k Fire TV stick. I have to say after comparing them both, the quality of shows streamed on the Apple TV is notably better. Far less Ads, smooth navigation, great and easy interactions with my iPhone. One of my favorite features is the ability to use my iPhone to type instead of using the remote and navigate letter by letter. The picture quality upgrade by itself to me is worth the money I invested it. I am very meticulous to stuff like that and the Apple TV fully delivered.

Magical but limited little box.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was not an Apple fan until now. This little box is fantastic! Setup was easy and it functions wonderfully. May purchase another one. I own an Nvidia shield tv, and while it offers impressive features, its UI is a little outdated. But because the Apple echo system is so inwardly integrated, it just operates at a better flow. Its interface is very basic, but it just gets you to your content faster and smoother. While the shield UI offers more customization, its still clunky. The Apple remotes touch sensitivity takes some adjustment, or you could just change its settings. For the price, it should offer more inputs and storage upgradability, but the 64GB should be enough for viewing content only. Playing games is not recommended. 4k looks great and sound is crisp, clear and booming. This little box will demonstrate how amazing movies and music look and sound using a good system. If you prefer personalization with some clumsiness over a smooth but closed echo system, then I suggest the shield tv. Both are fast, but the apple tv just seems to flow simpler and nicer.

Impressive Streaming with Apple TV 4K 64GB
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Apple TV 4K is a fantastic streaming device. The picture quality is stunning, with crisp and clear 4K resolution and vivid colors. The device is easy to set up and navigate, thanks to the intuitive and user-friendly interface of the tvOS operating system. The 64GB of storage is ample, allowing you to download a large number of apps and games, as well as store plenty of content for offline viewing. It also supports Dolby Atmos, which adds a rich, immersive audio experience to your movies and TV shows.

Apple ecosystem product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I came from the nvidia shield pro. I’m always looking for the next streamer product besides amazon fire products that outperforms. The Apple just has a slight edge over the nvidia. Being in the Apple ecosystem setup was quick and easy. The shield has a lot of user face options which I appreciate. You can customize the shield more. But the Apple is just a clean sleek product. I could never find a side by side comparison of the two because they are kind of Apple to orange but like I said the Apple just has a slight edge over the nvidia in my opinion.

Expensive for a streamer but nice!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As the owner of a $35 streaming stick, this Apple TV was a stretch for me - not in terms of affordability, but in justifying it. I bought it mainly for turning my TV into a second monitor for my MacBook, which worked wonderfully. As a bonus, I was also able to use my favorite streaming apps and the system just ran so smooth. The remote control is not a game changer for me (I never had the older model, so I wouldn't know how much it changed) but it does work very well. It allows me to stream and connect my phone to the TV and get features I never knew were there. Would recommend it to anyone who can afford it.

Still the best...
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Still the best, most powerful, most versatile streamer, especially for folks in the Apple ecosystem. Under-the-hood improvements in processor and software, probably not that significant over prior 4K version. Major improvements to the remote, with addition of ON-OFF switch (which operates other components in AV system as well) and size (more obvious, less likely to lose or misplace), and the navigation wheel – remote is available separately and is worthwhile purchase, even if you don't opt for the total upgrade.

Excellent Streaming Player
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This powerhouse from Apple does not disappoint. Picture quality in Dolby Vision is superb, even when it is an up-scaled version of 1080P. I'm using this streaming box to support YouTube TV, where it transmits excellent sound and pictures (except for occasional brief squiqqley lines) We've also begun using SIri to help navigating the YouTube TV menus or to advance through a saved program. The new remote is a big improvement over the previous model, even including a power button. The remote serves as our universal remote for the TV, receiver, and Apple units.

Great device for those in the Apple Ecosystem
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had a Chromecast, Roku, Fire TV & now, Apple TV. I wish I had an Apple TV earlier, because this device has features that makes so much sense, I can't believe the competition don't. PROS: -Fast -Being able to close apps that are misbehaving -Color Balance -HomePod Mini Stereo (Coming in tvOS 15) -Great remote, feels premium -It getting details such as your email, phone, etc. when signing in to apps -NO ADS ON THE HOMESCREEN! CONS: -Airplay isn't everywhere

The best of the bunch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Apple TV is consistently the best performing streaming box that I’ve used, and I’ve used them all. It’s fast and fluid. The new remote is a huge improvement over the old one. It’s not the cheapest, but there’s a reason for that. Keep in mind, you get what you pay for. A lot of the built in tv operating systems and streaming sticks require you to opt-out of them sending your information to advertising companies. On the Apple TV, you have to ask the apps that you use to not share that information, but at least it isn’t literally everything you watch.

New Remote Is Perfect
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had two of the previous Apple TV generations and by far this is the best, with a remote that finally has perfect functionality. Over the years I've had no complaints about the capabilities and output of the Apple TV streaming components, user interface, speeds, etc. and the trend continues with this new upgrade. As my family of five is fully immersed in the Apple ecosystem with our cornucopia of Apple products in our household, this Apple TV integrates seamlessly into that network. We stream YouTube, Netflix, Paramount+, Disney+, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, Spectrum, and of course Apple tv+ flawlessly via this Apple TV. But by far the best part of upgrading to this year's generation is the revamped Siri remote. The new dedicated mute button, power button, and back buttons are perfect for the best functionality. The slightly thicker remote makes for a better feel in handling and using it, compared to the earlier super-thin versions that were so slippery. I also really like the new round clickpad that lets you choose between touch and clickable control/navigation. And the dedicated Siri button has been moved to the side of the remote, another plus in better functionality. This is a definite recommend in my book, and I've tried practically all of the streamers out there--Amazon Fire Sticks (terrible user interface, bad WiFi connection issues), various Rokus (also bad WiFi connection issues/buffering), Google Chromecasts (again, connection issues)--and we pay for the highest, most expensive and fastest internet broadband, and have no connection issues with anything else connected in our household such as our Apple tv, our laptops, desktops, tablets, smartphones, smart tvs, etc. Definitely recommended! A+++++

Don't wait replacing your old AppleTV any longer!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Although happy with it, we started having periodic issues with our old Apple TV of 7+ years. The installation and integration with our WiFi and account access to streaming services was super easy when paired with our phones. That was a lovely surprise. However, the picture and speed has been phenomenal. Pairing with our 4K TV has been incredible. Sorry we didn't pull the trigger on this one sooner. I believe Apple took a great thing and truly made it better.

Much Improved Remote
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like the Apple TV. I have had a few other streaming boxes, and none come close to the smooth operation of the Apple TV user interface. Excellent picture, great UI, and reliable service. I like the new SIRI remote; especially the on/off switch.

Good, not excellent
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I own a 4k Sony TV (x900f) with Android TV built in. I purchased this to try to improve the experience (interface, speed) and fill a few functionality gaps (airplay) What it did well: - Controller touchad was very nice to use, easy to zip around the interface - It was nice to be able to mirror content from my iPhone or MacBook onto the TV - interface was speedy and pleasant to use- a nice upgrade over the functional android interface with a very subpar processor that Sony put in the TV - scrubbing through video was quick and easy, no more going back 30 seconds to re-watch something and waiting for long buffering times - being able to easily connect AirPods is a big plus What was lacking - As simple and pleasant as the controller and interface is, it did end up adding more complexity to our setup. I was able to get the TV to power up with the Apple TV remote, but never got it to turn off the TV- it seems that compatibility to turn the TV OFF with the Apple TV remote is dependent on your TV model. - It was also strange having two sets of volume control; the Apple TV's volume and the TV's volume- just one more thing having us reach for a second remote. There were also not any volume numbers, just listen and guess - Screen mirroring from my MacBook to the TV had middling image quality, far lower than directly plugging in my MacBook into the TV. Despite a very fast internet connection, the latest 16" MacBook, a 49" 4k TV, and plugging in the Apple TV into the 4k60 port, it still looked more like 1080p - Screen mirroring wasn't the most graceful from the phone. Eg if I was playing YouTube, I'd see the Apple TV Home Screen while it transitioned between the video and an advertisement - why is the remote remote still using an IR blaster? Why not bluetooth? Our setup is pretty clean, just the TV and sound bar (Sonos) on a stand. At this price point it seems silly that I need to have line-of-site to control it and have a visible set top box with a LIGHT on the front of it- who wants that? - 64gb storage? Storage is super cheap now, should easily be 128gb/256gb as the two options - price barely seemed passable upon purchase, but the drawbacks and added complexity over a sluggish but functional Android Smart TV really didn't make it worth it - The remote's touchpad made zipping through the interface nice, but the buttons felt pretty generic (loud click and cheapish click) and the comfort was meh due to the small size of the remote. Again, for the price point, I'd expect more I ended up returning the Apple TV. While the interface and speed was nice, it ended up making our setup more complex since we still ended up needing to revert back to our TV's remote. Another big motivator for the Apple TV purchase was to be able to use my TV as a second screen, and the quality was pretty poor for that.

Apple TV 4k take 2
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The newest version of Apple TV is definitly worth the upgrade if you are coming from the 1st gen of Apple TV 4k. The controller is the best part! I hated all the versions of Apple TV controllers. This one is crisp, it isn't as highly sensitive as past iterations so you don't worry about accidental contact throwing you off whatever app you had open. The options for video playback are very useful especially in calibrating the picture.

What an upgrade..!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Apple TV on steroids! I had the previous model Apple TV and all I can say is wow. This is a big upgrade - don’t let appearances fool you. The UI is a lot quicker and more snappy and the picture quality is excellent. Setup is a breeze with an iPhone and the upgrade overall was very seamless. I was up and running in under 10 minutes. So good, I’ve bought 2 more and will ultimately replace TiVo boxes with this unit. Yes, it’s that good.
