I always found myself trying to stream videos from all types of sources on my iPhone or Mac to my TV using the built-in chromecast, but I was always stopped by limitations or errors. Having this AppleTV removed all of those limitations and allows me to steam my phone or computer as well as from stream from different AppleTV apps such as Netflix and now Amazon Prime Video.

Most people, I suppose, buy Apple TV as an alternative to cable TV and end up subscribing to it for a monthly subscription. Not me. I don’t pay a monthly fee at all because I only use the box to watch my music videos. This little black box allows me to play classical music videos from my iPhone directly to my HDR TV smoothly and flawlessly with ease. The connection is seamless, reliable, and beautiful. Audio and video are perfectly in sync and of the highest quality (matching the quality of the videos on my iPhone without loss of quality). I absolutely LOVE it; the ease and the quality are superior to that achievable with mirroring techniques available using Chrome casting or other methods. Yes, the Apple TV box costs more, but it’s worth it!

Added this to our new 4K HDR TV.. WOW. Super picture.. remote is not perfect, top is okay, not great.. little fickle with the touch movement. Buffering on the "Movie Previews" app is horrible, all else is great.

I use several different devices capable of streaming. When it comes to overall quality and speed, the Apple TV 4K wins. It’s also very user friendly and easy to learn. This is my 3rd Apple TV.

The platforms of smart TVs are clunky and difficult to manage and hdmi arc does not always integrate well with sound systems. The Apple TV solves all of this. Easy to operate. Also replaces my DVC being I can stream all of the shows I watch.

incredibly high quality 4K picture makes this Apple product a great addition to Apple’s inventory. While it took them enough time to create the system, it’s worth the wait as the picture quality alone makes for a superior viewing experience. Coupled with the amenities that all Apple products bring (apps, iTunes, movies, Netflix, etc) and this is a worthy investment.

I am extremely pleased with this previous generation apple tv 4K. Got it at a great price and was in excellent condition for open-box. Its so easy to use and being an iphone user, the interface is just plain simple - I don't care for a lot of the negative reviews about the remote as I use the remote app from my phone and a universal remote with the rest of my set up. It is a little more expensive than other products like fire tv, roku and nvidia sheild - but i am a creature of habit and I love the common layout of the apple operating systems. I paired this with a 4K AV Receiver and a 4K Projector - Love it!

I had been using my Xbox to steam video but it was slow to boot, updated often and that also took a long time. This turns on very fast, updates fast and not too often, and still has apps for all of the services I wanted. The controller works well once you get used to it and it’s nice that you can use an iPhone as a remote too because you can use its keyboard instead of scrolling among letters. I find it best to set the home button to go to the main screen instead of to the Apple TV app (which is the default) but that was easy to change. It is expensive though compared to a fire tv stick and other options. However it does work great with airplay and now I can show pictures and video from my phone on the tv.

Really awesome. 4K movies and videos. Very useful and easy to use

I previously had a blue ray player that could also stream, but it often struggled connecting to Netflix and didn't have some of the other services that were available. So, being as I was an Apple fan already, I decided to give Apple TV a try. I figured that eventually I'll be getting a 4K TV so I opted for this model in preparation for that eventuality. I now connect basically instantly to Netflix and some of the others I subscribe to, and picture is great and smooth. The remote takes a little getting used to but I have that set to be less sensitive now....much easier. I don't have it yet fully hooked up to the sound system, but I'm sure that will be smooth once I figure out how to get beyond the limitations of my limited flatscreen.

Love the new 4K Apple - perfect picture and always easy to use.

Using a primarily Apple eco system for my mobile devices, I finally bit the proverbial bullet and added an AppleTV to my arsenal. It has been some time since I purchased this and I must say I grow to love it more and more each day I use it. From the basic, staple apps (Netflix, Prime) to the specialized apps (USA, Youtube, etc...), and more (accessing my Apple media), I find myself using my AppleTV much more than anticipated. It is very fast and speedy with a beautiful interface. The voice command is top notch. My only ergonomic complaint is the remote is small and slippery especially if you have big hands. The touchpad is either lacking in responsiveness or overly responsive at times. But overall highly recommended.

4K Apple TV is pretty pricey. It works a little faster, but I am not big fun of the remote which too many times make me move to another channel just by accidental touch.

Did a good job, great picture quality and easy to set up.

Earlier this 4K apple TV, i had a 4th Generation apple tv and full HD TV, then recently i bought a new OLED 4K TV and now i was looking for a 4K apple TV, by good luck i was able to get a good deal from Bestbuy for apple TV 4K 64 GB. Even if it was of $199.99, it cost me almost $50 bucks less, because of some mystery coupons and best buy rewards. Initially i was not sure that how it will play some of the HD content i have as its 4K and my TV is also 4k but it seems like my TV distort the image and sometime even just comes out of the app, hoping that apple TV 4k will not do that and the result was really awesome. It shows my HD content very smoothly and it never hangs and works perfectly fine.

The new 4K Apple TV is a big upgrade from my gen 2. I am using PS Vue to Stream and it is a great combination. The only thing I wish these new Apple TV’s had was the digital audio output. I don’t have a new enough receiver to route my HDMI through it. So until I get a new receiver I have lost watching movies through my stereo.

I upgraded from the original Apple TV. Like all Apple devices it works the same. The remote is exactly what it needed! It works just like the Apple mice with additional buttons. Much easier to navigate with that my Amazon FireStick! And the 4k movies look awesome. Definitely spend the little extra for the 64gb. Its worth it!

Apple TV 4K is an awesome streaming device. Picture, even on a 1080p HDTV, is amazingly clear. App selection is great. Set-up, especially if you have an iPhone or iPad, is incredibly easy - just hold your Apple i-device close to the Apple TV when you're setting it up and the Apple TV automatically imports all the necessary info from your iPhone or iPad. The touch control may take some getting used to but, once you're familiar with it, works as well as, or better than, buttons. Can also control your TV volume fro the Apple remote. BIG improvement over 3rd Gen Apple TV and worth the price if you have, or plan to have, a 4K HDTV. Good wifi connectivity, also, with the option for an ethernet connection.

My Apple TV 4K works extremely well and was easy to set-up with my Samsung Smart TV (which I also bought at Best Buy last year). The picture quality is excellent. My Samsung remote doesn't seem to work with it but there's probably a way to finesse it that I haven't figured out yet. The only disappointment is that I thought I would be able to save iTunes purchased movies or TV shows directly onto the Apple TV - just in case my Wifi wasn't working or to save space on my iMac - but Apple has confirmed that there's no way to do that as it wasn't designed for that feature. That's the biz but since I bought it on one of Best Buy's great sales and the extra storage only cost a few bucks more I'm not complaining.

I wanted to get my dad an AppleTV for his birthday and unfortunately it was during quarantine. Everyone was out of stock and couldn't deliver in the time frame I needed. Best Buy had it out next day. This is the fourth AppleTV I have bought. I have one in every room and wanted one for my dad. If you are not used to the remote it does taking a little getting used to. The 4K picture is so crisp and the apps are always updating. The remote rarely needs a charge, think maybe once a year. AppleTV is the best way to stream. Also I love the airplay feature for when I want something on another Apple on my TV.
