Pretty Useless

For over $200 it is definitely a poor unit. My Roku is so much better then this Apple unit. Wake up Apple and start listening to your customers.

I HAD MANY EXPECTATIONS

The instructions don't really tell much on how to actually use it either. On top of that as you use video/tv apps it will glitch. It sleeps, but you must unplug the device to really shut it down.

Ok - but needs to be faster

Also, could be my home internet speed, but Apple TV video clips take forever to load prior to watching something short. If you have Apple Everything, might make sense to have it, but I wouldn't go out of my way otherwise.

Unwhelming and expensive
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The Apple TV comes in 32 and 64 Gig units. I purchased the 64 Gig unit. I assumed, quite incorrectly that this would allow me to download content. It doesn’t. It is strictly for Apple App type content. Once I downloaded Netflix and Amazon I didn’t need any more storage. I am not going to play games on an Apple TV. As a streaming device it works as well as an Amazon stick or a Roku 3. It was supposed to have an advanced remote. The remote feels cheaply made and It cannot hold contact with the Apple TV. An icon on the screen keeps telling me it has lost contact with the remote which is IR ritating while watching a movie or TV show. Start-up was easy. Considering its other shortcomings and expense it is not worth purchasing over a Roku that costs 1/4 of this unit.

Good system bad remote

However, the remote broke after only a couple months and is just a paperweight now. The warranty replacement is a hassle bc I have to set up an appointment and take it to the Apple Store. So I'm stuck using my phone as a remote and I hate having my phone on wifi.
