I purchased this to upgrade from my 2nd gen appleTV. I've cut off cable completely and have no issues. I love that this appleTV allows me to download apps and use siri to dictate rather than click on individual letters. I have pretty slow internet, but haven't noticed any delays with streaming. BestBuy was running a special so it was a great buy!

But it's not worth it if you already have a Fire Tv/Stick. If you've waited to buy a streaming stick, the Apple is the one to get.

We purchased the Apple TV 3 just to see if we liked it. We decided to return it and purchase the newest Apple TV with 64 GB and turn off our Direct TV Satellite. Our Satelite bill was way over $100 a month and we found we can watch the same things on the Apple TV either for free (except for the initial cost of the product) or for a small monthly fee to HULU Plus.

I loved ordering it for my birthday! It is a great deal when Bestbuy has it for $25 off compared to the Apple Store!

I have to say that I am unimpressed so far with APPLETV! Its streaming abilities have a lot to be desire compared to other competing streaming devices. Understand that I am not a spokesperson for any products. Just an average consumer like many of you. I have both ROKU and APPLETV. Netflix and HuLu are my favorite streaming channels. I must say that my APPLETV compared to my ROKU, when it comes to streaming Netflix and some other channels, seem to have issues far to often with handling 1080p streaming. Before any of you ask, this has nothing to do with my internet service, WIFI or APPLETV settings. I have fast internet. Whenever I get a banner on my APPLETV stating "An Error Occurred", this happening more often than it should, I switch to my ROKU to stream the same content and it plays fine without any interruptions.. I do not understand why it is such an issue with the APPLETV when content will play on another streaming device just fine. Now, what I do like about the APPLETV product over the ROKU is its ability to turn itself and the television off when not in use instead of sitting on the screen saver or a still shot for hours on end. You don't have to set a timer for this. This comes in handy for you night time viewers. I also like the APPLETV ability to automatically switch video input list whenever you start using the product. ROKU does not have this feature as of yet. You still have to manually tune into the input ROKU is plugged into. All and all and as far as I am concerned, streaming with very little to no interruption is the most important feature for a streaming device and so far, APPLETV needs much improvement in this area. I hope future updates will improve in this area or I will cease to purchasing future APPLETV products..

This is especially a great gift for someone who has other Apple products.

We've been using an AppleTV for several years now and loved it. My wife gave me a new AppleTV for Christmas and I was blown away. Love it. To me the picture compares to blu-ray and 4K. I bought a 4k Sony tv 2 years ago and finally, finally have been able to enjoy why I bought it.

So, with this new 'AppleTV 4' device, I still have to manually start my iTunes TV program season purchase one episode at a time. Maybe you should take a cue from Nexflix, who allow user to automatically play TV programming episodes at a time. Apple, let me guess, that feature will be available on AppleTV 9 device. I am sick of this incremental steps with convenient features that's been available for years with other manufactures devices.Time for me to cut this string.

I can't find any problem with this device. I used it every day. Worth every penny!

I ebayed what was the "best" SBT on the market and moved to AppleTV for a couple reasons -- Easy to Use - classic Apple -- focus on the user experience It has a future -- Android TV seem to be yet another forgotten product from google

After reading reviews of the Apple TV, I purchased it and it is truly great! I love using this and having Siri available is icing on the cake! Easy setup and use, the remote took a little while to get used to though.

Perfect for accessing all you apple media purchases on your tv. Get access to all ESPN and SEC network extra channels not available thru (Comcast or DirectTV) with ESPN app. Multiple media streaming apps. Games also.

Excellent product. Bought it 5 years ago and still use it 5 times a week. The best streaming media player on the market. You get what you pay for.

If you are tired of paying the cost of Cable TV that you don't often use, Apple TV is a great alternative. For us, it paid for itself in three months after we cancelled our basic cable plan.

seems to have a lot of capability that may be used in the future. For now the previous generation apple tv may be better for most people. However, this one was easy to set up and is quite easy to use. Excellent wifi receiver (my router is also AC and this apple tv picks it up quite well).

New controller is nice, so is the new interface. It's not clogged up with apps I'm not going to use, plus now I can use Apple Music.

Overall, it was not worth upgrading. The only thing I liked was the new remote, but other than that.. everything else was not impressive. Definitely returning this purchase.

love the ability to add unlimited apps. Although I have more learning to do love the voice feature. the track pad is way easier to use than scrolling with arrows.

I am loving this new Apple TV. It is extremely fast and the software it runs is only going to get better. Makes a great gift for anybody within the apple Ecosystem.
