The new apple tv is much better than old generation one.

Purchased this to replace a slow Roku 2. Tried the new Apple TV for two days and returned it for the new Roku 4. The new Apple TV user interface is sleek and responsive, but completely useless for Amazon Video and Sling TV services that I pay for. Perhaps Apple has put the cart before the horse because having to mirror apps off my iPad Air was an extra and cumbersome step that did not deliver the viewing experience I had hoped for. I expected more from Apple.

The usability of his new version of Apple TV is greatly enhanced with this edition, especially in the search capacity, though it does take a little getting used to the new remote (but well worth the effort). If you have been on the fence about buying after using the prior one, I can say it's worth the leap.

The 4th generation Apple TV extends the same functionality that you are used to having on the iPhone/iPad on to the biggest screen of your house. I love the AirPlay feature. The App Store has all the apps that you would typically need along with some really nice multiplayer games.

All of our other devices are Apple, so it was inevitable that we would get the Apple TV. We put it off because of one thing, the lack of an Amazon app. Decided to replace one of our Rokus so we went for it. The remote usability and the user interface are second to none. We loved it so mutch we replaced our second Roku as well. We just wish it had an Amazon app then it would be 5 stars.

My brother bought this apple TV and he really enjoyed it. He was able to watch movies on it and was able to screencast from his phone.

Overall this product is up to the standard that you have come to expect from Apple. My one issue with this product is that it sometimes will not operate with some of my iOS devices on the first try. Sometimes I have to make several attempts to connect with the iTV or power cycle each component to get it to work. Has done this with 2 separate iTV units.

Not the first AppleTV we bought, and not the last. With a few exceptions, has all the apps for content we want, has a simple os, integrates well into the ecosystem of other Apple devices, and the mirroring from our other devices is very handy.

Nicely done by Apple. Being able to customize applications is a huge plus and every app I've wanted has been available. Gaming is also excellent, going to add a couple game controllers to it. Remote has a bit of a learning curve.

I was skeptical at first when apple went back to hard drives in their Apple TVs. But after playing with a friend's new Apple TV I new i need to get it. The voice search is great. I use it daily. Can't wait for more apps.

Being able to save your content on the device is a plus and all but for the price, I ended up going for a mac mini, instead. I hooked it up to my tv, bought a bluetooth mouse and keyboard and have a complete computer with a 500 GB Hard Drive, included.

The system does what it advertises to do. I have the Gen 3 and love it. I wanted to get this to replace the 3rd gen and move that upstairs but since I have older tech which requires optical cables this quickly became an issue. I bought an open boxed item that was missing the remote and also learned that the discount was less than replacing the remote. The discount should have been greater than the remote cost since the unit was only in satisfactory shape and not excellent. This is a best buy issue not an Apple issue. I am excited for the update to this item or I will have to update my system. Not sure which will come first. I will purchase this again but only after it is discounted. I will also purchase it from Best Buy since they are taking back the open boxed item. NOT COMPATIBLE with OLD TECH to its full potential!

This a great product for those who love Apple products. Though it has similar apps to a Smart TV, one benefit to Apple TV is iTunes. You can seamlessly play music from your library through your TV.

I'm very satisfied with this product. It's a lot of fun the only thing is I wish the people in the store had told me that it did not come with the HDMI cable. Other than that, very good purchase

The new version is so much better than the old apple TV. I love that I can choose what apps to install and remove the ones I dont care about. Everything is easy and simple. The touch pad is a bit overly sensitive, I tried to adjust it but it can be annoying other than that, great buy.

Easy access to lot of digital tv content; for this version gaming is an important feature but you'll require other accessories like game controls.

Much like many other Apple products, this one doesnt disappoint. The features are great and the simplicity is above all competitors. A+
