If you have any older version of Apple TV, upgrade. Love how you can ad apps now. Voice search is a great addition.

Everything is great if you have all apple products but certain streaming apps were missing. I use Amazon, Vudu, Seeso and the current apple tv doesn't offer a great solution in streaming the content. If your only ecosystem is iTunes. Buy it immediately. If you depend on other streaming services like the mention apps. Don't buy it. XXXXXXX

Well, the diabolically evil geniuses at Apple have managed to come out with a remote that is even more frustrating to use than the last Apple TV remote! And that's saying something. It took me over two hours just to get my passwords entered... I would wait to buy the ATV4 until they allow your iPhone/iPad remote app to work...

Great buy and addition. The remote doesn't always work well when searching.

I was excited to be upgrading from my AppleTV 3 to this unit. What a letdown! I have hundreds of movies on my hard drives that i play using itunes. With my AppleTV 3, playback is almost instant. With the TV4K, the icon spins for a few minutes then displays the movies with a lot of recommended stuff etc that seems like needless bloat.. I’m also not a fan of the background colors or the home page. My older Apple 3 seems much more responsive and quicker streaming online shows along with less judder. I am returning this device and going back to my TV3. If Apple will get there software act together, i may look back into this in the future.

I've already returned my 4th generation Apple TV because there is no support for the remote application for iOS. By the way this is the absolute best method for entering text in Apple TV menus, and is a massively short sighted omission.

With my generation 3 ATV, I could use the remote app, to browse my iTunes library on the iPad and play it on the Apple TV without being in the same room or having the tv on. You could now still airplay to it but then you are tying up your phone. Now the remote app is basically a clone of the physical remote. If you only want this for vidos, it's fine but there are cheaper options just as good. . But if you want to use it to play your music it now is terrible.

The new Apple TV is nice, but it don't work very well. I will return it for a refund, it's just not ready.

Not as stable, easy to use, as earlier models. Having a mild disability, the touchpad is twitchy and hard to use. Siri does not do anything to improve usability. It requires frequent resets to access the media library on my iMac.

Error after a few months, must purchase usbc cable to reset box, awful! How can they sell w/o including this needed cable?!? There should be a law to require factory reset to be included w/ all devices. Good Luck Apple.
