You plug it in, connect to your network and this little device "just works." If you're a Mac person and have your music library on your Mac, you'll easily be able to listen to your music, movies, etc., etc. If you want to connect to You Tube, HBO Go, or Net Flix, those applications are easily accessible along with many others, I'm not familiar with. I'm glad we purchased this little device.

Stellar product. The best feature to me personally is the Sky News. Love watching it live and for free. Great job, Apple.

The Apple TV makes your TV a smart TV with access to YouTube, Hulu and more. Pairs well with your IPad. Great as a gift.

Really enjoy using the apple TV device makes renting movies easy thru iTunes. In addition great for Netflix users as well.

First off, I use a Windows PC. I'm not a huge fan of the Mac OS look and feel even after years of using it for a previous job. I can use Mac, but choose not to out of preference, thought Windows 8 might be enough to make me switch. However, I do own an iPhone and an iPad and like iOS. All that being said, I would like to think that I can be very objective in deciding what devices to use and reviewing them. The Apple TV made sense for me because I wanted to stream things from my tiny phone or tablet screen to my 65" LED TV or my bedroom TV to share with friends/family in an easier on the eyes fashion. The box was relatively easy to set up, and it would have been easier if not for my wireless security settings. Everything worked well and as advertised right out of the box. I logged into my AppleID and could stream content that I purchased in iTunes. After that though is where it falls short. The Apple TV will let me steam iTunes from my desktop, which is in another room, but will not let me mirror my desktop itself like it does with my iOS devices. Not even my friend's Mac OSX can mirror natively. Besides the AirPlay feature that I don't use and the streaming of content from my iOS devices, the Apple TV doesn't do much more than my SMART TV does on its own. There are other devices that are more compatible with my friend's devices like Android phones/tablets, Mac computers, Windows computers, and even Linux computers and basically serve as a way to get content from any device to my TV to share with everyone. The issue is that the more compatible the device is, the more complex it is to set up properly. Overall you really need to know what you need and what you can live without. I have iOS devices. That's it. I went with ease of using those which the Apple TV is the best at doing hands down. There are 3rd party apps (AirParrot) that can stream my desktop to it. My Android friends can send me a link and I can stream it from my devices. It works out to be my most cost effective solution.

It is the simplest devise to use. Plug in and search for your favorites.that easy.

It was so easy to hook up and start using. It has so many options whether it's synced to another apple product or not.

I had the Apple TV for quite some time now and it works great. I enjoy streaming my music and using the apps available.

Easy hook up (if you have an iPhone get the remote app first thing and the rest of setup will be even easier). Does more than I was expecting I think but still wish I could get other apps from the store.

I love the Apple TV and the simplicity of it. Makes streaming and playing podcasts and iTunes music simple. SO worth it.

I don't know why I did g get this sooner!! I have always been a fan of Apple TV but never really looked into purchasing it until I saw how easy it was at a friends. My iPhone syncs right up with no issues. I stream shows and videos off my phone with no problem. If I want to look at pictures on the big screen or anything, I can. Apps are preloaded on it and eliminates need for other devices. The remote is just perfect and easy to use. Love it! I want to buy one for my mother now.
