It's unfortunate that Apple has forced their users to use a mess of different dongles when their prior MacBook Pro laptops had SD readers built-in.

I use it for getting the videos off my video camera onto the computer

Too expensive. Other cheaper ways to transfer pictures etc

This was the only card reader Best Buy was offering. Didn’t even read my SD card no matter which port I plugged it in to my laptop. Waste of money. I was too busy with work to be able to make the return so I wasted $40.

If your have an updated iPhone (13 or higher), this thing will absolutely not work. Don’t waste your money!!

Apple’s way to gouge Mac users by requiring dongles to connect with any of your older devices. Apple’s pricing is egregious. .

Could not get it to work. Had help from a neighbor. Returned after a week.

Did not read my SD card, and that was the whole point. I think the card reader would work if Apple made the ipad pro accept it.

I had to return this apple product because it didn’t work on my new iPad Pro 2018. Maybe it needs to be updated

The apple-USB-C to SD card reader is a great item. It is small and easy to carry around with all my other equipment/items. It allows me to review my pictures on a bigger screen like my laptop or tablet even when I am out camping far away from civilization. I highly recommended it.
