I was completely unaware that Best Buy offered a Free Site Survey when I went there to purchase a wall oven. Knowing we could have a fit problem and expressing it to our sales person he offered to send out a tech from a company called Hawaii Unified. Victor was great! Very professional and friendly. He measured the space and decided we could fit it in with a few adjustments that he and his crew could make. A week prior to the delivery date I checked with Best Buy and found they were planning to send a crew out but from a different company. Couldn’t understand why but I expressed to him that we wanted Victor from Hawaii Unified and not someone else to come out and do the work. He agreed that it was the reasonable thing to do. Victor and his crew (Andre BB and Chavez) were great! Arrived early and were fantastic. Zero complaints and a valuable service provided by Best Buy. Thank You!

The rep was a no show

I scheduled a pre-measure and a date was set up. I received a notice that the appt needed to be rescheduled. The appt was rescheduled for another 8-10 days farther. The rep called the day before to give me a window and confirm the appt. The day of the appt the rep called to tell me he was running late by a couple hours. He confirmed her was still keeping the appt. The rep called again to say it would be 30 minutes before arrival but confirmed the appt was on track. The rep never showed. I rcvd a call from maybe a dispatch center telling me the rep went to my house and a person told him there was not an appt. I told dispatch no one ever came to my house and the rep must have gone to the wrong address. I asked for the rep to call me and was told he had tried but I didn’t answer. I asked for him to call me again so I could give directions. I gave the dispatch person clear directions. I then rcvd a second call from a dispatcher. I told her I already had given directions to a dispatcher and asked if she had them. She told me she didn’t have any directions so I gave detailed directions for a second time and asked to have the rep call me. I told her I had been waiting all day for this appt. She told me he had already been at my house and that I or somebody told him we didn’t want an appt. I told the dispatcher the rep never came to my house and went clearly to some other address. I wanted to keep my appt. She told me the rep had moved on to another appt. and that we had to reschedule my appt. I said no, I want him to still come today. She said he did and wanted to reschedule. I hung up on her. So ticked off at how this was handled.

The technician was pleasant enough, but the purpose was to take measurements to ensure that I purchased the right replacement microwave. He told me that any over-the-range microwave would fit into the slot that I had and basically said have a nice day. I did not receive any measurements, and he did not offer advice or comments on things like venting. So when I called to speak with someone on the phone to assist with placing my order, thankfully, that person did help me.

I needed a site survey to check for a refrigerator delivery. Specifically, the refrigerator needed to be able to fit around a tight area of a cook top island and some cabinetry nearby. The crew of two was on time, very pleasant and efficient, and they explained the limitations perfectly. I was very pleased with the service.

System has issues, but contracted staff was great!

The young guys who came out to our site were great. Unfortunately the system and set of procedures to assure a successful pre-install measurement was no where as customer oriented as the two young technicians. They had no information regarding the products they were measuring for. They proactively called me asking what they were installing and I was shocked that they did not have a copy of the sales order from BB. They indicated that on complicated orders it can be unclear what the actual appliance is. We have a mildly complex configuration of component built in refrigerator/freezer parts. They were pretty resilient and good problem solvers, they looked up the manufacturers install sheets and made the appointment work out, but my confidence in BB and the sales people is lower than my confidence in the subcontractor that actually does that installs. In fact in this case we identified that some important components were not on order and I had some electrical and plumbing issues to resolve. IT really would have been professional of BB to provide me with the installation specs and site conditions necessary for install in a proactive way. Good thing we had the pre-install, bad on BB that we may have to delay installation while all components are ordered and Site conditions are suitable.

This KitchenAid gas cooktop with downdraft replaced my old JenAir cooktop. It is a perfect fit in my granit counter, it is very attractive and good quality, a nice addition to my kitchen. I will enjoy using it in years to come. Thank you, KitchenAid!

RUN... Do Not Let Them In Your House

This is not Best Buy people or Geek Squad people. It's Quality Kitchens that will attempt to do the work. Just a quick Google search on their name will tell you everything you need to know which is why Best Buy has lost our business. We move about every 2-4 years and we replace all the appliances in the kitchen and laundry every time we do. We use Best Buy because it's one stop shopping and I don't have to run around finding a quality company to deal with. Well, not anymore. I refuse to argue with them but for some reason they believe that the way Rockville, MD does things is how it's done throughout the country... that being, they provide the basic install service and if you need anything else you are required to pay the installer directly, which makes them your contractor not Best Buy's subcontractor. Further, since you pay them directly you won't be able to use your BB store card and take advantage of 0% financing. Worse, Quality Kitchens will charge you 3.25% if you want to use any kind of credit card. People! This isn't even their quality of work. The guy came to measure and check things out as agreed but only after aggressive and rude emails threatening to cancel if I didn't jump through their hoops. For example, the morning that the inspector was to arrive I received an email stating he was on the way but if they didn't hear from me immediately they were going to cancel. Luckily I saw the email. How is that a thing? I have to use the word "luckily" to describe setting up service? Then when he did arrive he went to the basement to check if I had the proper electric service - OK. He did this by flipping the breakers off/on... well, so I thought. I didn't realize for a few hours after the guy had left that he was flipping them off but not turning them back on so my AC was out along with half of my house. After I brought all of this to Best Buy's attention I was totally gaslit and told this was completely normal, that it had always been the case that we pay contractors directly. Again, I refuse to argue with idiots so I didn't mention the oven, microwave hood and washer/dryer installs that I did two years ago in Nashville or the ovens, micro/hood, dishwasher and washer/dryer they installed before that in PA... and so on and so on never EVER having to pay anyone but Best Buy. You would think that after spending tens of thousands with them every few years they might want to keep my business - NOPE. The only thing I was told was a warning: once I cancel this I can't undo it. Hey Best Buy.... you will never have to worry about that!!!

This is the newest version of what used to be the GE Profile Microsave. They dropped the name :Profile" and it seems like it is a bit less sturdy. That being said, works well.

Extremely Difficult to Set Up but So Far, So Good.

Well, I expected the setup for my new HP 9015E to be at least as easy as for my HP Officejet Pro 8610 (Printhead failure so had to be replaced) and hopefully easier given that a number of years had passed ... but my hopes were dashed last night when it took me over 2 1/2 hours to set it up and I'm still waiting for an answer on an outstanding question from HP. At one point, I thought about putting it back in the box and returning it, and I've been purchasing HP printers for many years. The physical setup of the printer itself is simple. It is the HP "Smart App" on Windows and being able to print from a computer that is just dauntingly complicated (and I am a 35-year veteran of the technology industry) ... and much much more complicated than the HP windows app provided with the 8610. This "Smart App" logs you out after a few minutes automatically and you have to provide a userid/password to log back in. The Smart App interface itself is very confusing to use. The older app had very obvious click points for printing, faxing, configuring, setting up the printer, etc. In any case, now that I'm mostly set up, my print and scan functions work. I haven't tried the fax and copy functions yet.

Just one load so far, but it ran quietly and did the job properly and in good time. We replaced a very old, broken dryer, so this is a massive step up. Really like that it runs very quietly and appears to work as advertised.

Just had this white KitchenAid gas on glass cooktop installed so do not have a detailed review. It does look very nice and coordinated with the rest of our white appliances. It is very easy to keep clean. The gray iron grates and chrome and gray knobs compliment each other. Hope to get many years of use from it.

The guys who I stalled were very kind and made me feel comfortable about their knowledge. I was concerned because they had to cut my cabinet to make III fit. . When it was all said and done the results were nothing short of perfection! I love the actual fridge itself. It is so roomy and modern looking. My old fridge was over 25 years old so I am over the moon with this new purchase!

Very professional and helpful. They called me the day before to confirm the time they would be arriving. Then the day of they called 10 minutes before to give me a heads up. Two gentleman showed up, had me do the walk through of the space where the appliances would go and then they got to measuring. Delivery went very smooth.

Best Buy pre-measure site survey confirmed we could install a fully enclosed dishwasher and that we did not require an open bottom unit to accommodate our through the floor hardwiring and water source. This allowed us to purchase the Bosch 300 that we really wanted instead of settling on the the base grade Bosch 100. Your installers were well organized and did a great job from start to finish. Thank-you!

Review of new cooktop install in countertop

This comment is only about Installing the new Cooktop. The existing cooktop cut-out in the granite countertop had to be enlarged about 1/4 inch (+) wide along the long side for the new cooktop to fit. That was missed in the Best Buy pre-install visits, so it was not the installer's fault. We had to pay $200 extra to the installer to enlarge the hole by cutting the granite so the new cooktop would fit. Fortunately, the installer very carefully cut the hole larger as required. Nice surprise, Best Buy!

    Why did you measure again?

I can't for the life of me figure out why they set an appointment for a measurement. 3 workers came out to measure the hole I currently have in my counter for a cook top. I had already purchased a return that was in stock in my local Best Buy. The company knew which cooktop I had, what size opening I needed, and the measurement of my current hole. What did they do with this information? Not a F@#%#ing thing. They didn't tell the installers any information. They didn't let me know if the opening was large enough or not. So what happened? The installer came out on an early Thursday morning and quickly discovered I need another 5/8" on the front to back measurement. A waste of my time, the installers's time (they contracted another company to do this), and a waste of time for the 3 who measured the opening. Was this really a problem with the 3 who came to measure? Not really. A tool is only as useful as you make it, and Best Buy did NOTHING with this tool. After talking to the Appliance Department in the Best Buy I made the purchase, I have given up waiting on any notification about a bid to cut the opening in my counter a little wider, as I was promised I would hear back from my salesperson or the manager of the department. I've waited 6 days. I have found someone to cut the counter opening and found another company to install the stove. I'll be getting my money back for the installation and the disposal.
