I was hesitant at first on purchasing refurbished ARLO cameras, but BEST BUY sent me 2 incredible Netgear ARLO cameras that added into our system without any issue. Best security system for the money.

Great idea poor software! Pros: Completely wireless Easy Setup Cons: Too many limitations 1.Battery Replacement (if using the defaults will last 4-6 months, which is ok but you only get 10 seconds of recording once motion is triggered) 2. Cost of batteries 3. Buggy software, sometimes difficult to connect to and is very slow 4. Hub uses wifi n technology to connect cameras instead of the much faster AC 5. Warranty is only 1 year for such an expensive product! 6. Support for updates is slow!!! 7. No local recording, which means you have allow Netgear (Arlo manufacturer) access to your network and store your video in the cloud, which means privacy can be an issue! 8. Can be easily stolen! There is nothing to prevent someone from stealing the device. 9. Only 5 cameras allow per free cloud account then you have to pay. 10. Only 7 days worth of recording allowed per free account or you have to pay! too many limitations!!!!!!

After reviewing several different security cameras I decided to purchase the Arlo refurbished WiFi wireless system. I love it !! Out the box, no assemble was required, just attach to mount, no wires to worry about, and the Arlo smartphone download makes it so much easier to monitor. I only gave it 4 stars because it's advertised as having 5 mounts included , 4 magnetic indoor mounts and 1 outdoor mount, When my package was delivered it only had the 4 indoor magnetic mounts, There Was NO outdoor mount included. When I contacted Best Buy customer service about this issue, They told me I would have to send the whole order back and they would re-send me another order, Which I thought was horrible and alot of trouble, I don't understand why they just could not send out the missing mount, Therefore Best Buy dropped the ball on that. But as far as Arlo and the security camera I will at this point rate them Excellent. Best Buy needs to improve how they treat their customers. I eventually had to order additional outdoor mounts. The magnetic mounts that are included are strong but I wouldn't chance using them outdoors.

I'll start by saying I'm not the most "tech savvy" person and I deeply appreciate when gadgets are easy to set up. The instructions were clear and, once set up, everything worked perfectly. I was able to login, see videos, get alerts, etc. I love that these videos go to a cloud where I can then download them locally for further storage if I ever need to. My husband describes the app as "wife-proof" meaning there isn't alot of trouble-shooting or fidgeting, just open the app and IT WORKS! Cameras are good quality and give a clear picture, I love that they're great at night as well. The only thing is the battery life since these are wireless. If you will be accessing these cameras frequently or live-streaming, the batteries will die faster. I recommend getting rechargeable back-ups if that is your desired use.

I love my Arlo cameras. I have 5 in total. All Arlos in different variety’s. I like that I can control what I see and where I put them. Arlo cameras give you free cloud service up to 5 cameras. I only have to change out the battery’s about every 6-8 months. And they are not that expensive when you do have to change them out. The color is great and the video is just as good. You won’t be disappointed if you get the Arlo camera system.

Granted, I did buy a refurbished unit. But, all problems should have been fixed. One of the cameras wouldn't sync. The support guy in India wanted my credit card to ship another; not happening. I went to Best Buy and they were incredibly helpful. As far as the actual operation, it doesn't have very good night vision like I was lead to believe. Otherwise, it's pretty good.

Cameras are clear but sometimes the motion detection is a little slow. They work well and are super easy to install but replacing the batteries can be a pain.

Pros- Sturdy modern design. Real wireless HD videocam. Easy to set up. Got it for a good deal. Free online storage. Cons- No audio. Has a lag some times.

I had to replace the first once because it come with half used batteries. The next one works and has a full charge. Unfortunately it’s not the rechargeable batteries and this one doesn’t have sound but it takes great video. Great addition to my already installed cameras from arlo.

This system worked really well for residential use. Good picture, both day and night. Excellent features.

Easy set up. Works well majority of the time but periodically the picture is in black and white even though the night vision is off. Excellent picture when in color...very clear. Having a rechargeable battery is nice option and convenient.

this camera is easy to install, wireless and take beautiful picture. It allows you to access your camera by using your phone everywhere you are. Great in monitoring your pet while you are at work.

We purchased this as an add on to our existing arlo system. Arlo cameras are perfect if you don't want to deal with wiring or cords! The wi-fi integration, ease of setup, and app use are super simple; making this a perfect system for self-monitoring home security.

For a backup camera to complete my 5th camera setup I guess i may keep for the price. Setup was easy just sync button. The camera has no sound to and from. Also, batteries are not recahreable pack, thay are 4- CR123 which means you'll have to replace eventually. Not sure battery life 1st day ive set up. Night vision is ok, I have mine in dark spot and looks like it only covers directly in front about 10-15', and not wide enough. Also, only comes with magnetic mount, and not screw-on.

I bought this as an add along to go along with 2 other Arlo cameras I have. The camera itself worked well, good image quality and features. I like the Arlo system. I did return this product because it requires batteries that are not rechargeable and will need to be replaced every 4-7 months. These are the 1st generation Arlo cameras and use diff batteries than the Arlo Pros. If this is not a big deal to you then I would recommend you get this otherwise go with the Arlo Pro or Pro 2

The camera arrived very quickly and I was able to get ot mounted and working in about 10 minutes. Discovered that it was alerting al.ost constantly even with a low sensitivity setting. Reorienting it to view less of driveway solved that. The batteries died in two days to 14%, so replaced those with the Arlo rechargeable batteries that appear to be holding up okay.

I bought an open box sale Arlo Security Camera to add to my existing Arlo security system. The camera was just like new, operates perfectly, great camera video day & night vision, and wireless too!! What more can I ask? Highly recommend this video system for those situations where you need great video but have no wired electrical options. And the open box sale price was a very nice bonus.

Picture quality is great NO wire set up needed. Pairing is required but easy setup and the battery life is great! I highly recommend this for simple setup.
