Disappointed with this dvd.The trailer was hyped up.

The storyline is a bit boring and the characters aren't really that interesting. I mean it was good to watch for one time but i couldn't find myself watching this again. Traded on amazon after purchasing this one. I would stick to renting this movie.

An okay way to waste a couple of hours waiting for something big to happen. Unfortunately nothing big ever did happen. I suppose you could occupy you're mine trying to figure out the point of the movie. I would not recommend it.

With such a good cast headlining this movie, I expected much more than what I received. It was so slow moving in the first hour that I couldn't hold interest to finish the movie. Greatly disappointed!!

Should of been called "Departure" - don't know why it was rated as one of the best pictures. We did not like it - but judge for yourself. The views expressed are only my personal views.

This movie goes nowhere quickly. Is very confusing and leaves you wondering why you watched it. Would I recommend this movie to a friend? Yes, if they are having insomnia issues.

Ok movie to start, but time travel references that build through the movie were not well scripted. Felt kind of lame by the end. Best as a rental, not worth multiple viewings.

I am uncertain why this move received such good ratings. The movie had great acting but the story line was sub par and not much really happened from beginning to end.

The movie was not as good as the critics led us to believe. The Blu Ray looked so good the visuals we're great but overall the movie just was not what I was expecting.

REMINDS ME OF THE 2001 MOVIE FOR TV EPOCH. ARRIVAL DID NOT FLOW WELL, FROM ONE SCENE TO THE NEXT. SEEMS THIS SAME STORY LINE HAS BEEN USED 2 OR 3 TIMES WITH MIXED RESULTS

Don't want to give away the story line. Interesting concept about aliens and human contact with them. A bit out there. Personal story of character very sad.

Can't say I liked it. You would have to watch it more than once I'm sure to totally understand it. Didn't find it particularlly entertaining.

Expected something like "Independence Day" with lots of action, but got something more like "2001: A Space Odyssey". Too cerebral, no action.
