As a long time fan of Evil Dead, I was eager to see the new Evil Dead series, but unfortunately I didn't have Stars and I didn't want to pay for it just for one show. When I saw the first season on DVD I bought it immediately and it was well worth it. A must buy for any Evil Dead fan or any fan of dark humor.

If you watched the original "Evil Dead" movies, as well as "Army of Darkness," then you'll really enjoy "Ash vs. Evil Dead!" Bruce Campbell is his regular, awesome self playing the character he made as he comes out of retirement to fight the evil forces of the Necronomicon! Take some time to enjoy this!

I am a huge Evil Dead and for years it looked like a new Evil Dead movie was never happening. So instead of a new Evil Dead movie we got a tv series and its great. I am so glad its on Starz so the blood and gore doesn't have to be cut for tv standards. If you are a fan of horror/comedy give this a try.

I was rather nervous about this series initially because Bruce Campbell had gone on for ages saying he no longer wished to be associated with Evil Dead, but this series shows that he was more than enthusiastic about it. Gory, hilarious, and definitely within the same vein as ED2 and Army of Darkness.

I really have loved this series so far-- I have not seen any of the second season yet. It is similar to the tone of the Evil Dead movies but they certainly are telling a different story and have added some new characters to keep the story interesting. The sound is excellent on the Blu-Ray.

Don't expect Shakespeare, but you can expect good fun and buckets of comedic blood spattered everywhere at least a couple times an episode. Highly recommended if you're in the need for a short show with some light-hearted gore.

Sam Raimi has created a great trilogy of the Evil Dead but what a surprise to have found out he had created a show now. If you enjoyed the other three films you will obviously love this show. Still giving you the thrills as are found in the other films. But with a continuous intriguing story!

Long time fans rejoice! This series is what we've been waiting for. It's not perfect and some episodes drag. But Bruce Campbell's ASH is still every bit of entertaining to watch. And they hold nothing back when it comes to the brutal action and horror effects. Looking for to season 2!

Im a huge Raimi fan, and an even BIGGER Evil Dead fan. So this series is great! Its funny, creepy, scary even, gorey and sexy all at the same time. And on Blu Ray, its a great item to own in your collection of all things bloody, creepy, Raimi and Bruce Campbell-y.

Ash is back, I have to say I've been a fan of the series and was worried they would strip out so much for a TV show....I was wrong all the love is there. Chainsaw, Boomstick oh yeah it's Groovy! Fans I'm sure have this so anyone reading this and worried if they should I say go for it!

When I heard that Bruce Campbell was returning to his character of Ash Williams, I couldn't wait to see this awesome series!!!! I got to meet Bruce back in 2011 and tell him how much a fan I am of the Evil Dead movies :) So if your a fan of those movies you need to see this series!!!

Ash is back and in a great new series that captures the satire and gore of the original films. - a fun fun ride, loads of jump scares, loving this show more and more! This is my kind of horror.... Nice to see Bruce Campbell back at what he does best, action with a dice of humor.

If you are an Evil Dead fan you will not be dissapointed. Do not wait for netflix for this one. There is cast and crew commentary for every episode, which is by far the best special feature. My only gripe is no digital copy that is ususally standard with other tv show releases.

If you are a fan of the original Evil Dead movies, you will LOVE this show. It is short episodes so it keeps your attention the entire time, and the special effects and make up were fantastic. Give this show a watch. Loved getting this series for Black Friday for just $10 too!

It was a great series. My only complaint is that it wasn't long enough. I wish these were one hour episodes. If you like blood, gore, boomsticks and a lot of adult humor well this is right for you. Btw BestBuy won't let you use certain words in reviews. So I had to retype this.

Turn it up to 11 boys & girls. Everything you loved about the original trilogy plus the legend that has become the persona of Bruce. More blood. More gore. More partying. More one liners. How far can they legitimately take this franchise before I run out of money? Love it.

Loved the original Evil Dead and all of its sequels. I'm a huge horror fan and am not impressed easily with today's horror films that come out but Ash vs Evil Dead is a hilarious Horror/Comedy tv series, Perfectly funny and gory. I would 100% recommend this show to watch.

Evil Dead is still one of my all time favorite horror movies, so I was totally excited when I heard that they turned the franchise into a Series. Sam Raimi is a Genious! And I absolutely love Bruce Campbell in everything. This Series really is great though! Highly recommend!

Yes, Ash is back. And now he has side-sicks! This show works on the level of Evil Dead 2/Army of Darkness (and less like the original Evil Dead). It works, even if the season finale was disappointing. It works because the characters work. It works because it is Ash. If you like Evil Dead, you will like this. It is not perfect, there are weaknesses in the plotting, but you will not be going to this for the plot, but the characters.

An excellent TV series very much worth the time of any Evil Dead fan. A word of warning, make sure you've seen the classic Evil Dead films. Not knocking the reboot as it is a fantastic movie, but if somebody just saw that movie, they would be extremely confused with this.
