I purchased this game with the expectation I would receive the game as shown in the picture of the item listing. The listing shows the game with the original artwork. Unfortunately, the copy I received says “greatest hits”, not the “game of the year” edition.

If you enjoyed Assassins creed 1 and 2 but felt like the series was dieing a little. Once you play Black flag I have to say it may have been one of the most fun and beautiful games I've played in the next generation. The best part I'll never forget about this game was the intense ship battles that really made you feel part of the action! This game is meant to be played on a big screen HDTV with surround sound. If you like Assassins Creed and like Pirates of the Carribean. Don't even hesitate, and just snag this game. Especially with how cheap it is now it's a bargain steal! Unity doesn't even compare to this game. I purchased that game in hopes of it being as epic and fun as Black flag and it did actually what I feared and went back to being quite boring. Black Flag does not disappoint! Also Multiplayer on this one is hilarious and beautiful and has some amazing characters for online. Always on the edge with these types of online games.

I had a lot of time on my hands for several days and this game kept me occupied when I didn't want to be reading. Very detailed world, action is realistic, and story is really good.

Action starts sooner then AC3 and the open roaming is impressive and the game is gorgeous.

I fell in love with Assassin's Creed when I played AC 2. AC 3 and AC: revelations were almost as good, I did miss out on playing trying AC: Brotherhood as I still had a backlog of games and couldn't find cheap copies of it..I guess that's why they say it's one of the better AC games. I first picked up AC: Black flag on the 360 and fell in love again, right away as the scenery shifts from the European scenes to the pirates/sea farers scene. When I picked up the Xbox One, this was the first game I had to try, and luckily it was free with the purchase of the XBO. AC: BF looks gorgeous on the XBO and playability is about the same....it's a love/hate kind of thing...especially on those chase/ tracking scenes....which usually takes 4+ tries before completing the task. All in all, if you love the Assassin's Creed games, this is one you will surely love too.

Very enjoyable entry in the Assassin's Creed franchise. Not the best game I've ever played, but certainly worth the price to get it today. Sailing around and blowing up other people is always a fun way to kill time in my book!

Love the expansive map and gameplay. The storyline can grow tiresome but the game is still enjoyable after the RP part is completed.

these games keep my children entertained as they enjoy the plots and twist on history while hunting for treasure

This game is not on the top of my list for Assassin's Creed games. I got it on sale in order to complete my collection of AC games so far. The graphics are great and the story is good but I am not too big in the whole sailing portion of the game, which is a majority. It seems like it takes forever sometimes to sail from one mission to the next and the battles can take a long time, and if you lose you have to do them all over again.

Its hard to review a video game as a product. The game itself is well thought out and provides an interesting new vantage point on the Assassins and Templar conflict. I wish it would integrate more history into the storyline (like in the other five titles) rather than just serve as a backdrop for a new storyline, but it does a good job keeping the story in the same vein as the others. Great game for fans who love the series.

Wasn't a big fan of the first games, but this one was amazing. Loved the sailing.

AC4 is a excellent game. I've been waiting for a open world pirate game and this fits the bill perfectly. Im not a big fan of the AC series, but I really enjoyed part 2, I like this one better. Great ship battles and weather affects. Great production values.

Same game as previous years. Still repetitive in every sense but bigger on scale and Ubisoft tries to break the repetitiveness with side missions outside of the animus. Graphics are good, and it's definitely the biggest version yet, but if you were tired of the same gameplay then it's probably not fun. Haven't tried multiplayer to review it. If you want something to waste time with then it might be for you.

Best one so far with the ability to control your own ship. The story line is great too. Best one by far. The only downside is the repetitive qualities of the game that all former Assassin creed players will know. But it is still by far the best one out there!

AC 4: Black flag is a great looking game on the xbox one and it runs great compared to AC3. Are there better looking games on the system? Possibly but the story and gameplay is what really matters. So far it picks up where the last assassins creed game left off but that doesnt mean you need to have played the last 5 AC games. This game is great for new comers to the series based on how it is told but at times I cant help but feel it wouldn't be as fun if you haven't played the previous games. With that said I still highly recommend this game to new comers and AC veterans a like. You can focus on just the main story or do the myriad of side missions. This game has great value because their is so much to do, plays great, and looks great.

The graphics are great. The map is huge with tons of areas to explore. The gameplay fun, and easy to pick up on for beginners. This is the least restrictive Assassins Creed game with more to do than ever. My only complaint is that while this series has grown, it has not evolved much.

I have always been a fan of assassins creed, and this is the best one I have ever played. Clear your schedules, the game is addicting. The story is emersive, the graphics are amazing, you can play epic naval battles, upgrade your ship, upgrade your character, deep sea dive... I can go on and on. You will not regret this purchase.

Finally, a fun pirate game! You don't have to have played any of the other AC games to get into this one (I sure haven't). While the storyline and main quests are great, the best part is just sailing around the seas as a pirate, ransacking ships and plundering! Definitely a fun game!

Assassin's Creed 4 for the Xbox One brings it a little bit more to life, the Ocean feels more alive, and the Environments feel convincing. However, as we've come down the line of games, it is the same game as last one, with different story, different time. If you enjoy these games, then it's for you.
