I was hopefuly about this game. I am someone who remembers the early AC games fondly, especially the first one, and I did also think that the newer titles becoming more like RPGs was losing the spirit of the original series. So this game should have been perfect for me. Being a smaller, more focused experienced sounded great to me as well, I think gaming in general needs to stop putting quantity over quality with huge maps and 100 hr games that don't do anything interesting. This game did dial down the quantity, it's a smaller 25 hour game, but the quality did not increase. It's an extremely basic AC experience. I think the biggest sin is that absolutely none of the characters are interesting or likeable, which makes you not feel any motivation for the gameplay and story. To be fair, I would have to go back and play the original AC to find out if they actually did meet their goal of trying to return to that experience. Maybe they accomplished exactly what they set out to do, and it's just nostalgia that makes me think I had so much fun playing AC1. I remember caring much more about the story and characters though, and in the original game they set up the whole supernatural backstory for the series and it was very interesting. This game has NONE of the modern day storyline or any further answers about the supernatural backstory. Oh, and it has all the classic frustrations, like the parkour doing moves that you didn't intend to do and making you jump off a cliff instead of going to the next ledge you were aiming for. I thought with a smaller game they would really improve the graphics and the parkour but they didn't. And the combat seems much less exciting than before too. There are a few minor bugs too but just goofy AI and graphical stuff, nothing game-breaking. I try not to buy too many games right at release anymore, but I went ahead and got this one, and I was not impressed. Considering this was supposed to be an effort to return the series to what people wanted, I think it might officially be time to give up on AC.

I love the Assassin's Creed games. This one looks beautiful. It is set in Baghdad. The background sounds include birds, calls to prayer, and other things which really make a realistic environment. The game play is streamlined without experience points, repetitive side quests, and less emphasis on collecting many different things.

Loving every moment of it. I'm a big fan of AC universe and I loved that they went back to the roots. Even the parkour feels great. I want to say a lot but 10/10 says what I need to.

I'm going to rate this game highly... but i haven't played it. I was shopping and just got excited and bought it. I'm also now playing on the ps5 so I don't even know when I'll get around to this. Oops.

It is shorter than the other AC titles, but doesnt waste your time with collectibles or endless pieces of gear to find. Storyline gives you Basim’s Origin Story (from AC Valhalla)

By far the worst AC game. The combat dynamics are just a joke. It's too much difficult. Alas,I just over the return window. There is no levels, i put the game in the easiest possible, but still you'll get screwed if you can't match the timing. Very bad.
