AC Done Right
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After Assassins Creed Unity, i think Ubisoft as built a reputation for "rushing" out these games every year. But with multiple studios working on these games, giving them years of effort, along with the feedback they've received from critics on Unity, I really think Ubisoft struck something great with AC Syndicate. The world is beautiful and easily traversed. Additions like Horse Carriages and Zip-lines make getting around quicker, and the landscape of Victorian London will always give you something great to look at. Combat is easy to pick up and perks make fighting really fun. The story is neat, giving you access to two different, very likable assassins, a brother and sister who have two different takes to the same situation. Overall, it just seems like Ubisoft found what works and cut what doesn't. This game works on all levels, really no bugs, which is shocking compared to how glitchy Unity was, and seems like the world is so expansive, it will keep explorers busy for weeks. I am very satisfied with AC Syndicate and can't wait to get back to playing.

Just an amazing storyline and endless gameplay.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is the latest in a line of great games and it doesn't disappoint. The open world is huge and as always you can climb, jump, swing, run up, perch and dive on everything. The game play is very good, but the story is really fun too. You get to go back to another time and see a different world through the eyes of your character, definitely one of the most anticipated games of the year.

The hype is real
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Yes, folks, the hype is real: everything wrong with the franchise has been dealt with on some level to make this iteration of the AC story one of the best (subject to your genre interests- I really liked ACIII). Of course, any game can become monotonous and tedious because games are meant to be based around one mechanic. The "great" games are those who mask it so well you don't think about the mechanic (e.g.: climb a building, jump down, kill a person, ad nauseum). AC Syndicate has a great story arc and awesome graphics (haven't noticed any glitches yet), fluid character transition between the brute Jacob and his stealthy sister Evie Frye, and last but not least, missions that are fun and engaging the whole time. I gave it 4 stars simply because the one thing they haven't changed is the one-shot feeling of quests. Normally not a bad thing, but it prevents me from being connected for very long. Basically, when you complete a mission, there is nothing to pull you along except pining for micro-transactions which can be purchased with in-game currency (the grind that pulls you along) or real money. When I complete a mission, sometimes boredom sets in faster than I'd like so I pick a new game to play. That should occur, hence 4 stars. But, it's still a very fun game to visit often so I awarded it 4.5 stars (not a real option). If you're a fan of the series or if you're burned out on previous iterations, this one is definitely worth picking up and getting hooked back in with.

Assassins Creed Syndicate
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.he graphics are amazing on its own and for a game made. The variety of skills there are to choose from while keeping it easy to get skill points is awesome. Most assassins creed games focus too much on the main story and this game is the most open world in the series. Exploration is really fun with historical sights like big ben and more. On top of that if you choose to main the story even that is super enjoyable since the missions for the story have open-world aspects too.

A new setting for a change
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Assassins Creed takes place in Victorian era London, so it's a nice change of pace from the ancient world. While the gameplay is pretty much the same as you are used to if you are a fan of the series, some improvement was made with the story itself. If you can get it for a decent price and you like the series overall i say go for it.

Good step in the right direction for the series
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.London makes an awesome setting for the game. Gameplay is almost perfect but still a couple bugs to work out. Some of the mission can get a bit repetitive but the freedom to complete missions in. several ways is a welcome addition though. Really good rebound for Ubisoft coming off Unity and a good step in the right direction for the series.

Much Better Than Unity
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Syndicate is a fun, almost campy version in this latest installment of the Assassin's Creed series. It never takes itself too seriously, but stays intriguing enough to keep you involved in the story. Granted, there are historic characters doing crazy things (Charles Darwin helping shut down a distillery for one), but again in keeping with the light and casual story, it's actually fun. The upgrade system is not improved much, however the combat is much more enjoyable as its actually harder. Enemies are tougher in some instances, and counter quicker than before so you need to be fast with reflexes. Finally, the new grappling hook is a welcome addition to help traverse the city whereas with the last game you had to trudge through crowds and constantly jump rooftops. Definitely helps speed up getting around the city (which is the largest so far btw - not as big as GTAV's, but still huge). All in all, not a bad buy if you are fan of the series.

Best AC game yet
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. To be fair, I haven't played every Assassin's Creed game ever made, but I've played most of them... and honestly didn't like a lot of them. I really liked AC 2, and certain aspects of a few others, but most noteworthy is Syndicate, which to me is by far the best of the series. Everything about it is so well done. The story, voice acting, personality of both the characters and the environment... yes... the city and surroundings can be thought of as a living and breathing character when done right, and Ubisoft really nailed it with this one, with breathtaking, extremely detailed visuals I might add. Above all, it's fun and addictive, and the play mechanics have greatly improved over the last few incarnations. I had almost lost interest in the series, but impulsively bought this on sale. I'm very glad I did.

Best AC Experience in a While
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.AC Syndicate is probably the most fun I've had with an AC title since the Ezio games several years ago. It is not a glitchy mess like Unity and it eliminates a lot of the nonsense Unity contained (like unlocked chests via an app). I also love Evie as a protagonist - one of the best in recent years. However, I am *still* tired of only getting 17/1800s European (or EU colonial) settings. Can we get an AC set outside of European dominance and in an older time period please? Ubisoft literally had the entire planet and human history at its fingertips to tap into, and refuses to leave a 200 year period in only one corner of the globe. My other big issue is still the lack of any meaningful present day storyline. This meta-story is what keeps me interested in AC each year, and its gotten more and more ignored each year since AC3 released.

Another Great Assassin's Creed Game

Redemption for the Franchise
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Where the last two Assassin's Creed games left gamers in a sigh of disappointment Assassin's Creed Syndicate redeems the franchise for fans. If you're not a fan of the franchise this game won't change your mind, but for those looking for a true next-generation Assassin's Creed game this is the one. Jacob and Evie Frye are amazing. Well-acted and a joy to play as. While the other cast of characters fail to reach the level of the twin assassins the journey they embark on is worth investing in. Don't expect any major mysteries within the main story to be answered but you can anticipate a grand adventure.

A fun game to have
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I know the Assassin Creed games have not been the most popular since it first came out but Assassin Creed Syndicate has really stepped up the notch. The graphics looks great, the story is well thought out, and the new weapons are just a bonus. The upgrade system is a lot better than past games and makes you focus on nor just yourself but the gangs you control throughout London. For the price you can't beat this game and made me remember why I use to love the Assassin Creed series.

The AC we've come to love
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So the last few Assassin's Creed games have been a let down. I won't go into detail about those. But Syndicate brings back the feels of Assassin's Creed II and Brotherhood (my personal favorites). The story is engaging and the combat it fluid. Oh and the characters? They're are amazing. Evie and Jacob are as memorable as Ezio, and they have their own ways of doing things. Amazing game. I definitely recommend.

My son loves the game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this game in-store for my son for Christmas, and he loves it. The buying experience was great, even for the holidays. Friendly associates, clean store, inventory was good for that time of year. I don't play video games, but I enjoy watching him play Assassin's Creed because of the graphics, the storyline, the historical facts and accuracy, and the way you are able to move the character around through the game. Great buy!

A correction from Unity
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Assassin's Creed Syndicate is a welcome follow up the buggy, but interesting Unity. The story, like all of the AC games is pretty interesting (if you're a fan of series like I am), the twins are the most interesting protagonists since Ezio. The gameplay is very solid and London looks and feels phenomenal. If you're a fan of the AC series or want a great adventure game it's hard to go wrong with Assassin's Creed Syndicate.

Best in the series
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've played many of the previous Assasin's Creed games and several other sandbox titles. AC Syndicate really moves it into a new territory. Excellent graphics, fun missions, fun side quests and the story isn't too terrible either. So far I've not really encountered any bugs except one or two freezes. The combat system isn't quite as good as it is in Shadows of Mordor but it works well enough.

Good game play and graphics as usual
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The combat controls are easy to use. The graphics are excellent and are what you would expect from this series. I haven't gotten very far into the story but so far so good. I also like how it is easier to take territories, while some might find that annoying I find it refreshing to be able to move on and get through the game as quickly (or not quick) as you want.

Another (very good) Assassin's Creed game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you've played an Assassin's Creed game, you already know what you're getting into: repetitive gameplay and a convoluted story. If you aren't bored of that yet, this is one of the best yet. Combat feels fluid, the free-running system works better than ever, the setting feels fresh, and for most of the game you may choose to play as either the male or female protagonist.
