Customers are saying

Customers highly value the A40 TR X-Edition Wired Gaming Headset's exceptional sound quality and comfortable design, with many praising its fit and compatibility across various gaming consoles. However, some customers expressed concerns regarding the lack of inline volume control and the headset's price point. A few users also reported issues with microphone functionality and the cord length. Overall, the positive feedback on sound and comfort outweighs the negative comments on specific features.

Love them but I have had to replace the aux cord because I bent it shifting my hands around on a ps4 controller. It shouldn’t stick straight out. The 3D sound on games like COD is great and and I love how versatile they are across systems.

Sound quality is better than an average gaming headset. I have not used the controller mixer attachment because the controller I use is from a third party and does not fit. The mic is good quality, according to my friends who I talk to through the headset, and there is an interesting feedback that allows me to hear myself back through the headset but maybe that can be adjusted using the mixer, haven't tried to though. I mainly use it for Apex Legends and the audio is superb. I have listened to some music with it and it is a pretty decent headset for that purpose too. The only issue I have is with the aux cord that connects the controller to the headset. It is super janky and needs to be wiggled into a specific position in order for the headset to work. I tried using another cord I had but it didn't work at all, will probably get a replacement cord soon. Not being able to use the mixer isn't a big deal for me personally but it could be a dealbreaker for some people.

Although not the newest version but these still make gaming a blast. The audio is crisp and clear and the flip-up mic disables and enables mute with no problems. Surprisingly the ear-cup design is very comfortable for long hours of gameplay. To note, these headphones work across all gaming platforms to include PS5 and Xbox Series X.

I game about 3 hours every night and have played call of duty since the first came out. I was using $49 turtle beaches before I bought these bad boys and I can say the difference between the two is so big. These astros allow you to hear footsteps and know exactly where an enemy is. I wish you can adjust volume on the headset itself but other than that great product

The headset is great as far as sound and comfort. Two issues for me, as others have mentioned the headset is not black but navy blue. The other issue is the gloss coat on the blue peels off with the slightest touch. It's something Astro is aware of but its the way they're made.

I have tried just about every wired headset on the market. I buy one, get the protection and then swap it if it's not up to snuff. This headset is phenomenal. Extremely comfortable for long sessions, sound is crystal clear, and my teammates love the mic. This one won't be getting swapped any time soon.

Got these for my spouse and he loves them. He likes the colors and the comfort. He also likes that you can change out parts with a mod kit. Only two negatives. One you cannot adjust the volume without a mixer at an extra $100 and two they are not wireless.

Plug in and play right away. Great sounds on these. I can hear where the opponents are. Audio is great. Gaming and get a phone call? No worries just plug into your phone and no issues. Worth the price. I upgraded to these from a hyperx clouds. These are vastly more comfortable long term and better sound quality. 6 months later no issues here at all.

Best headset for gaming i've ever used and I play on all platforms paying many different types of games. 10/10 would suggest since they are comfortable and won't cause any strain even after 8 to 10 hours of game play and sound pretty great as well.

The headset works as intended and provides pretty good sound all on its own. It’s just as comfortable as an Astro A50 without the added weight of the batteries. Can be used for long sessions and the mic quality is pretty good too. I’m thoroughly impressed and happy with the product.

First off the quality of the headset is great. The earcups are very soft and comfortable. The headsets are open back so you can hear around you so you're not yelling into the mic. Also this allows for a great sound stage which gives the affect as if you are really in the game. Sounds come all around. Great product

I have always used Turtle Beach headsets in the past until I had a few issues arise with my last set. That made me look into the Astro brand. This is my first Astro headset. There are things I love about Astro and there are things I dislike. Let’s start with the bad. The one complaint I have is that for the price it would be nice to have customized controls on the headset to switch to different listening experiences. The listening experience is great on the Astros but it is only one mode. The thing I love about the headset is the comfort and ability to wear for a longer time. It rests easier on top of the head without creating that downward pressure that causes a killer headache at times. To me comfort beats the extra luxuries of multiple modes of listening. Overall, I would definitely recommend to friends and family.
