Customers are saying

Customers are satisfied with the performance of the 13.38, noting its ability to handle demanding games smoothly. However, a significant number of users reported problems with the graphics card, experiencing failures within a relatively short timeframe. These issues sometimes necessitated the replacement of multiple components. The product's overall reliability is therefore questionable due to these recurring graphics card problems.

    Worst computer I've ever owned

This is not to be bought, I have an older one with win 8.1 and I've reset it many times and when I do updates, the control panel will no longer show. It won't run a video program I have that is new version. It sort of runs the old version occasionally. It is only good for streaming and barely that, I put a Belkin Network USB in it because the on board WiFi is BAD!! I build computers and use ASUS stuff and have had no problems with their MOBOS etc. But I've owned a laptop and this desktop and neither is worth it.

I have owned this computer since Feb overall it has been a decent experience. on the topic of failed GFX card I have had the issue my self. the first time a cable came loose i called Asus and was allowed to open and check it. Second time it seems as a surge fails safe. If you remove the power and HDMI cable and hold the power button for 30 seconds it resets it an turns back on. hope this helps

    Buzzing Sound/ Performance

For me, I have had this PC for 2 months now. Runs great! The one thing that annoy's me is that buzzing sound 24/7. When I got it I figured it's nothing. But then it stayed forever. Hopefully if I take it back to best buy they can fix it. Amazing speed. I can run overwatch, pubg, battlefront 2, cs:go, at the highest graphics. The fans are really loud though. Like high performance? Then get it. It is worth it. You could build your own and get a GTX 1080 instead of buying this. But 1070 is perfect graphics for this machine. Any way I can fix the buzzing sound? The fans sound smooth. its just a buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz sound . Thanks!

    Excellent Gaming CPU

The specs are great. Not the best customizable desktop out there, but its very compact. You can still upgrade the memory, GPX card to 1080ti if you want, HDD/SDD. Customizable fans so you can run it silent or performance. I have had no issues with anything in this desktop, 2 months in. Great for gaming, or like me more about pictures and video editing with QUIK, Capture One Pro, among others.

GPU, CPU, motherboard all had to be replaced within months. Sent it to ASUS for repairs, took a month, and when I got it back it didn't work out of the box with new and exciting motherboard problems. Sent it back so still waiting. Hopefully it'll finally actually work after round 2 but my hopes are not high.

    Great Computer

I bought this computer 2.5 years ago as a refurbished computer. This computer has been so awesome, runs quiet, performed well, and has been amazing to have owned. I look at the reviews and wonder how can anyone hate this computer. We had a lightning strike and it just about killed the computer. The lightning took out the monitor, and router in the same plug but the computer sort of lives enough for me to pull all my files out of the hard drives. Overall, this computer was amazing and would have had another 2 years if the lightning had not damaged it.

Please Read all the comments DO NOT BUY.

All the comments are correct. I had the machine from around christmas of last year and the graphics card broke after medium use only around 8 months or so. I figured oh you know, sometimes these things happen, who knows. So, I got it repaired. (It took over three weeks for them to ship it, get it fixed, and for me to get it back, THREE WEEKS!!). Then I finally got it back, all was fixed. Not even two months later, the graphics card broke AGAIN. Please, save yourself the hassle and struggle, just buy something else, or if you know how build your own system. I know how, I was just lazy and thought that I could buy one here, and if anything went wrong, I could replace it. But, its a bigger pain than its worth. TLDR: DO NOT BUY THIS SYSTEM.

I was so excited buying this product for my video editing and gaming purposes. This is one of the worse product I ever brought and my first ever product from ASUS. Had Graphic Card issues within 2 months, asked GEEK SQUAD, they said, it will take more than a month to get it fixed as the support volume for desktops are so high. Disappointed with that, I contacted ASUS and they send me an RMA and promised I will get it back fixed within 2 weeks. It took them one month for the entire process and they replaced it with a brand new NVidia 1070 Graphic Card. After just 2 weeks of receiving it fixed, I am sending it back again today to ASUS .. AGAIN due to malfunctioned graphic card. (Geek Squad told me 'again', it might take 1 month! Disppointed af! I still have my GS accidental protection of one year, wasted money on it for poor service)!! NEVER EVER I AM GOING TO BUY A DESKTOP FROM BEST BUY, OR FROM ASUS!! AND YES I AM A ELITE BEST BUY MEMBER!!

    a nightmare to deal with

A waste of money I first bought it in 2016 and it ran hot so applied some nt h1 and it was better. The 1070 ran hot all the time, I was constantly trying to find a way to cool it down until it suffocated in the small case back in 2019. 3 years on a premium card is a joke my wife has the same gpu and hers is still fine i would not recommend a compact pc with no air circulation

      Dear Retrogamer,

We certainly understand your disappointment and the inconvenience this may have caused if you are concern about the excessive heat being generated on the PC.

The excessive heat under heavy load is normal. Any PC with the same hardware configuration, regardless of the manufacturer, will generate more heat than normal while under heavy load especially during gaming, WINDOWS Update and antivirus scan. When system resource utilization is high, this will generate more heat than normal and tends to trigger the fan to spin at full-throttle. Please ensure the air ventilations are free from obstructions in order to have an efficient air flow for better heat dissipation. While gaming, please ensure no resource hungry applications are running in the background, this will definitely spike the temperature. The heat or temperature does decreases or normalizes once system resource utilization goes down.

If you need further assistance with the product, please email me at [email protected] and I would be more than happy to help. Or, you are most welcome to call Product Support Hotline at: 1(888) 678-3688. Also, you can chat with an ASUS live support agent at: http://bit.ly/AsusLiveChat.

Thank you for choosing an ASUS product.

This computer was purchased for my wife 3 years ago who uses it to render videos using Vegas movie studio and pay bills. I also use it to work virtually. As far as gaming, I can't say but it is definitely our best slither.io machine! For us it has plenty of power to render high def videos and video conferencing. Have had to get some drivers from the website, but that is an easy process and they seem to all work as expected. Been a quality machine.

We purchased this item last November of 2016. By December of 2016 we had to exchange it. Now 6 months later it is doing the EXACT same thing the first one did which I believe is related to the graphics card. Although it is still under warranty I cannot take it back to the store. Instead I have to pay to ship it to ASUS and wait while they fix it. Customer service is lousy and the people there are rude. I will never buy an ASUS again.

So I got mine as open box deal was almost half price! Have had it for a few months now and it is a BEAST! I have had no problems at all with it and would recommend this set up 100% It has been ran very hard for many hours as my son likes to use it as well. I play arma 3 most the time but it SMASHES ark as well so I would not worry one bit about getting one of these Have no idea what the deal is with the other guys but mine is a beast through and through!

I bought this computer in 2016 for less than $1,000 with a two year warranty. It has worked great for years. But I cannot imagine pay $1,600 for this 5 years later.
