This is a great computer. I like that it is a lower cost computer with a bigger screen and bluetooth. I do not need a touchscreen. The AMD A 10 works at everything I throw at it. and its nice to have teh 8 GB ram and its roomy with the 1tb drive.

Fast processor, sound and video. Large HDD plenty of RAM will probably upgrade to the max soon. Got the free upgrade to Windows 10. Very happy with the computer, wish I didn't have to take the entire bottom off to access HDD, RAM and battery.

I am in love with the laptop, it works great and for the price it was not a bad deal. I am to run AutoCAD off it and still have enough graphics to run games too.

I was looking for a laptop to give to my dad. He is a novice so I needed something that was easy to use, with good performance that wouldn't "break the bank" so I chose this ASUS A-10 series laptop. It is awesome!! It fit all my criteria and the price was better than expected. ASUS products are great!!

The laptop performs well, internet is speedy, and easy set up. The battery life isn't that good and requires an occasional reset. Overall it's a good laptop at a good price.

Decent value for an entry laptop. Windows 8.1 is buggy on it sometimes. I hope the upgrade to Windows 10 solves those issues. Overall good performance per dollar spent.

So far I have taken this lap top on my summer travels and am loving it. I have put many photos on it and have burned them to disc for family members before I even left which sure saves on developing and shipping. I have been using Spotify on it for tunes and have had no issues. The only issue is getting used to windows 8.1 but that is just me as I had vista for years other than that it is easy to use.

Fast processing unit and good amount of storage. Not for gamers but definitely an easy to use and excellent choice of laptop for the everyday use--school, business, leisure, etc--especially for the price...comes with quite a bit of extras for minimal cost.

Granted I have only had it for about a month, but so far there have been no issues with it yet. I am waiting to load win10 into it, let them work out the bugs first. I'm not sure about the other reviewer stating it was overpriced, and not only on this one but on the AMD A8 version as well. I look at it like this. The AMD A10 processor is equivalent to the i7, and there is no way you will get the i7 for $399. My last laptop was a Dell, and I ran that thing thru the wringer, but after 5 !/2 years it but the dust. I have read good reviews on Asus and I am pleasantly surprised so far.

Computer performs well for the price. It's relatively quick and is able to handle multiple web pages at a time.

So I bought this laptop. It's pretty good, actually I'm making this review with it. Anyway it's pretty cool, and the free internet security was just an added bonus. Being used to Pc's, it was hard at first to get used to this. But once I did, it was great. Lots and memory for a laptop, and good speed. It's actually better than any Pc I have at home. It works perfectly fine. Some programs however don't open or are hard to get open when on Pc it works just fine. It just takes time to get used to. But it's well worth it because this laptop is great. Especially for it's price.

I received this laptop as a birthday present. It is a great laptop. I am impressed by the speed. I primarily need it for basic usage; however, this looks like a great laptop for gaming.

She's very hard on computers because she plays a lot of games requiring heavy graphical computing power. This one has been performing flawlessly.

This ASUS laptop is a first for me of this brand name. Prior to this purchase, I knew nothing of this brand. The Best Buy store ad, web site information and three Best Buy Sales Associates, particularly Chastity - Sales Associate and Genesis - Geek Squad Expert at the Union Square (NYC) location, were very helpful in my choice to purchase this product! They were very professional and extremely patient with me in regard to my (many) questions and concerns. Thank you, again!! This ASUS computer has been a very good choice. I give thanks and praise to my God for Him allowing me to make this purchase and providing the financial means, and subsequent help of the Best Buy Associates in their various capacities!!! The computer functions very well. It is fast in transitions and the Radeon graphics (pixels) are excellent. The computer keys are a good size; my large fingers have no problem. The keys do not stick. The battery of this computer charges to full capacity quickly. My one concern, thus far, is that when the computer is not plugged in there are "some" times when the battery runs down swiftly. However, I have yet to properly assess whether or not this is due to the multiple tasks I conduct on the computer at the same time, such as typing one or more documents, being on the Internet, and having games open that I use for times of writer's block. Battery life "unplugged" is generally four hours. The sound quality of this ASUS laptop is also very good. This computer also turns on and later shuts down quickly. The computer is lightweight, but sturdy. The look of this ASUS laptop is sleek and neat. I highly recommend ASUS as a computer choice! My main use of this computer is for my coursework as a Graduate student. This ASUS laptop is a great investment. As I did, I also recommend purchasing the Best Buy Geek Squad Service "just in case" there are any problems waaaay down the line or, at the least, for help in navigating use of this computer and/or adding features to it. The computer came with Windows 8 and a future FREE upgrade to Windows 10. Thanks to Sales Associate Chastity, I received a brief demonstration from a Microsoft representative who was present in the store. During the purchase process, the Best Buy Geek Squad Experts gave me information and instructions in regard to the installation of Windows 10, and for other computer usage. As of yesterday (9/15/2015) I installed Windows 10. I am not technologically savvy, so the Geek Squad service is good for me. So far, unlike two other well-known computer brands (Dell and HP) I had in the past - neither purchased from Best Buy, this ASUS computer has not had issues of overheating or shutting down unexpectedly. In fact, Geek Squad Expert Genesis was able to transfer my data from my old HP, that suddenly burned out to the point that the HP monitor screen features no longer function and it is bluish-gray. If it helps, I purchased this ASUS computer approximately three months ago during the summer semester and continue to use it extensively (already) during this current fall semester, as well as for other reasons. This ASUS laptop continues to function very well.

This Asus replaced my Toshiba 2 in 1 laptop. I am extremely please with it's performance and how fast it is compared to my old one. Battery life isn't the best, however, I use at home so that's not to much of an issue.

I'm typically pretty hard on computers, and the last ASUS I had served me well for three or four years. I do a lot of freelance design, writing, and digital content creation at home, so I need a machine that can handle large files, numerous programs and apps, complete complex tasks, and take a lot of wear and tear This ASUS had the most power and the best price I could afford, plus a fairly large screen. For my purposes, it's a great desktop replacement, yet not too heavy to carry around as I need to.

I had a Toshiba laptop for 8 years and loved it ... never had an issue with it but the hard drive started to act up. I bought the ASUS and I love it even more than my Toshiba ... it is fast and super easy to use.

It feels more like a desktop replacement than something like a notebook. It's excellent for viewing movies and it's pretty well made for the price, something common with asus products.
