It's not bad but expected a little bit more

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I initially bought this because it was the only laptop available that included HD + SSD and less than $1000. The pictures a the time didn't show the keyboard. CONS: One thing I wish was the numeric pad on the right was a little bigger; I am assuming this would be available on the bigger 17". I am not a fan of the mousepad, mostly where the left/right buttons are and how they function. Not too big of a deal for me because I purchased a wireless mouse. However, when I do use the keyboard mouse, I feel I just double click the mouse vs. the actual not visible left click button. Sound - I was hoping for it to be a little louder. The sound is only at the bottom of the laptop. So when on a desk surface, the sound is able to transmit through where the keyboard is. However, if I am on the floor, pillow, sofa any place soft - the sound is somewhat muffled and definitely not loud. Battery life - not impressed. BIGGEST DOWNFALL! The description never noted the battery life. Thought it does go into a power safe mode, supposedly able to go another 1hr and half or so, but lasts maybe 30min. I have yet to test the battery life from full battery to off. But I do notice that it drains. Maybe 5 hours or so of battery life. I usually will put it to charge, which does charge really quickly. PROS: Very lightweight and slim. Sometimes I feel like it would break easily, but so far so good. No issues with closing it. Convenient for on the go. I enjoy the backlit keyboard. VERY FAST startup. I am enjoying the features of windows 10. It is a learning curve if you aren't used to it. I have had to google/youtube how to organize i.e. the start function, how to make shortcuts to the desktop, etc... I am not a gamer, purchased it as an everyday send emails, google, pinterest, and mostly to use my Cricut software program. Would recommend for that, but definitely not for someone who has limited access to charging. Hope this helps.
