Customers are delighted by the fast boot times and ample storage space offered by the SSD and large hard drive. The responsive touch screen and overall performance also receive high praise. However, some users note that the battery life could be improved. The laptop's light weight and ease of use are additional positive aspects frequently mentioned.

This is a decent 2-in-1 laptop. It has decent performace. I updated the SanDisk m.2 SSD to a Samsung 560 Evo m.2 SSD which is much faster, however, it appears that the laptop has pcie 3.0 x2 which means I cannot get the full 3200 Mbps read speed out of this drive. I also did a clean Windows 10 install and have found that the computer responds much better and doesn't give me so many errors from all of the software that came preinstalled on the computer. My complaints are that the computer itself feels a bit cheaper, while it's look are fairly nice. I wish that the hinges for the monitor were stronger because the monitor is pretty flimsy so be careful when flipping it around to tablet mode. The touch screen is responsive. The touchpad is a good size. I constantly have problems with the fingerprint scanner recognizing my fingerprint and I'm really not sure why it's having issues. It has problems with the original OS installation also. Note: If you do a clean install of windows make sure to save the eSupport folder to an external drive. There you will find all the drivers and software that you need. I did not install every big of software but it will allow you to install what you would like.

This machine caught my eye as a "daily deal" with a fairly large discount off the original price. For the money, the 7th gen i7, HDD + SSD, touch screen, keyboard with numerical keypad, and 16GB of RAM are a great value, considering that equivalent hardware tends to fetch much higher prices. One drawback, a minor qualm, has been that the fan does tend to kick on with relatively little use or obstruction (i.e. letting the laptop sit on my lap instead of having it propped up by a stand). Besides that, it runs quickly (even without uninstalling bloatware), the fingerprint reader unlocks my screen around 95% of the time, and the screen hinges appear sturdy. I am very pleased with this purchase!

I bought this laptop for my wife who had a 10 year old laptop that moved at the speed of... well I am not sure anything in the universe is THAT slow. So off I went into the depths of the interwebs and local stores to research and find a nice, quality laptop. Now she will only use it for web browsing and photo viewing and storage, but since I will use it from time to time I went by my parameters which were a large 1 tb hard drive (though this also comes with a small SSD for faster operating system operation, a full size screen (despite the current trend of laptops barely larger than cell phone screens, a metal frame/body and not plastic so it is more durable, and I wanted decent RAM and an I7 chipset so it's only obsolete within a few months instead of a few days.
It was a nice bonus that it is a touchscreen and that the screen can flip backwards to become like a tablet, but note that it does not disconnect from the lower keyboard portion as some other 2 in 1's do, but that is fine by me. Seems there is more margin for error/things to go wrong if you are always connecting and disconnecting it. The ability to unlock the laptop with your fingerprint is a cool touch (literally) also. I had heard of ASUS as a manufacturer of PC components having built my own desktop before, but research and feedback I found indicated that they are one of the higher rated laptop manufacturers, higher than Gateway and HP, at least for customer satisfaction I believe but feel free to do your own research.

This is a great value and great computer. ASUS beats all others with this model with touch screen, Intel Core I7 - 16gb Memory - 1tb Hard Drive + 128gb Solid State Drive. Very Fast!!

I decided to invest in a laptop upgrade since I am taking online courses, and initially bought a computer with a SATA HD. Wrong. This computer starts quickly and has very little load delay. You won't get nearly as much bang out of Ram without having the corresponding SSD (keep that in mind). The touchscreen and tablet mode work fine, keys are comfortable to type and lit, and battery life is impressive. Comes with a phone-like charger that results in slightly less length but not a huge deal. Sleek silver casing, slightly fragile when held by one hand, but haven't had any issues with anything. I feel ASUS is better than Acer, but it's primarily the specs that count. This has no graphics card, which is the only thing lacking (haven't tested games on it), but for internet and office work, it's perfect.

I wanted my next computer to have an SSD drive mapped to the OS. That was a great decision. This ASUS laptop is amazing. The casing looks beautiful, the screen is very sharp, the speed is incredibly fast, and I really like it. Haven't used the tablet functionality yet. Battery life is average.

I hadn't thought of getting a two in one touch screen, but at this point that's pretty much what's available. But I have visual issues and to be able to bend the screen to a point where I can rest it against pillows to be able to see the screen comfortably is something I didn't know I needed until I could do it. The touch screen is extraneous... I'd love to be able to use it with Photoshop, but it won't work with the program. But otherwise, i'm enjoying the laptop and definitely not regretting the purchase. My only grumble is that laptops nowadays do not come with a CD/DVD drive. Had this laptop come with what I consider a necessity it would have been a 5 star rating. I see no need to have to pay the full price for a laptop and then have to separately purchase something that should be a standard feature.

I had spent a significant amount of time reviewing laptops, after my most recent purchase had let me down far too early. This was for my wife who is attending school, and often struggles with the tech. After a month of use, I can say that there have been nothing but rave reviews from the Mrs. Initially she wanst interested in the touchscrren, and now she doesn't know how she ever lived without it. The laptop performs well, the wi-fi and Bluetooth perform as expected, and battery life seems adequate for her school use. Overall, I'm glad we purchased an ASUS and would do so again. Additionally, in comparison to other similarly spec'd laptops, this one was a great deal.

The Asus 2-in-1 PC is great. The startup is unbelievably fast as a result of the OS and other important files being on the SSD drive. The screen is magnificent.. I haven't used it much on battery but I did let it run down once and got about 4.5 hours. I like the built in numeric keypad. Had to get used to the changes in keyboard layout from prior laptop but not significant. I have an external HDMI monitor and an external USB monitor and everything works fine across all 3 screens. The price was great for this powerful machine.

This notebook/tablet is about half the weight of the previous 17' notebook I used. It is fast. I use the numbers on the right of the keyboard a lot. The zero key was moved to the right so an arrow key could be put in with the number pad. It has been hard to retrain myself to hit the zero key further to the right. Other than that it is great.

My minimum qualifications when computer shopping were an ASUS laptop with an i7 processor and either at least 1TB HDD or a duel drive system like this has. Touchscreen is finicky, I don't use the "2-in-1" function often, but the computer runs the programs I need it to. Also, I got it cheaper than an almost identical machine without the second hard drive that was on the floor at Best Buy.

My last laptop had an unfortunate accident involving the rain so I needed a new one. I knew I wanted a powerful processor, good battery life, a touch screen, and I had to have the number pad to the right of the keypad. The sales guy at my local store did a GREAT job helping me find this one and I couldn't be happier with it. There was nothing in the same price range that has anywhere near the hardware this one does. I'm 100% happy with my purchase.

I purchased this laptop as the Deal of the Day. At first I thought it was a really great. It boots up fast thanks to the SSD drive and also has a 1TB hard drive for additional file storage, a nice brushed aluminum body, 3 USB 3.0 ports and a USB 3.1 Type C. However, this is not a gaming laptop. Only good for tablet type games. My main use is for photo/HD Video processing.

There's no question about the value for the money. This is a great package. I'm not into gaming. If you were, you wouldn't be happy with the graphics components. But for business and personal use the laptop is excellent. Very fast processor. Much more memory than most packages. Good bright screen. It boots up in a matter of seconds. It can load a heavy use program like Quickbooks in 10 seconds. I'm very pleased on that account. Plus it looks good with the silver exterior. And the weight is a plus. My pet peeves are: (i) the numberlock key is catty-cornered to the delete key and when a wandering finger activates it there is no indication that it is on; (ii) the delete key doesn't have a raised marker to allow easy access (iii) the back lighting of the keys is marginal; the light doesn't come through until the room is quite dark, but in lower light situations the keys are very hard to identify; (iv) the touchpad is bad; it's too slippery and erratic; I use a mouse for everything; amazing that Asus can't get that right; my previous laptop was an Asus (from 7 years ago) and it had the same problem.

This computer does it all. I am not an avid gamer but the games I do play are quick to load and little to no lag time. For some reason when they send you the computer they think its wise to put programs and operating system on standard drive instead of equipped solid state. Worth the time to get it switched over. This is the second computer I had to purchase. The first one started having manufacture problems with the touch pad, finger scanner, and headphone jack with in two weeks of purchasing. Had this one for over a month now. Use it mostly for school but with the capabilities it should last me at least 5 years before need to upgrade anything. Excellent computer for the money.

I've had the computer for two years now. Works good for the most part. Still very fast. All USBs, touch pad, and touch screen all work. Fingerprint unlock pad on it always works for the wife but only works for me 10% of the time but I'm a working man so fingers get a little beat up.
My biggest complaint is the dual hard drive. Why would they ever make the small SSD the main/default hard drive? The point of SSD for me is to protect my important documents incace my computer breaks. The operating system runs on the SSD... If I brake my computer why would I need the operating system software preserved? There is only so much room on the SSD and a giant part of it is taken up by the operating system. I love Asus but come on.

I think overall I will like it. States it's supposed to be so fast, but the computer has already had a problem..it just shut down and rebooted and I'm not sure what the issue was. If this keeps up, I'll have to take it in to have it checked.

Intel i7 is a terrifically fast processor. The size of the unit is perfect for my use. I mainly chose this for the backlit keyboard. I have not utilized the touch screen but imagine it's handy. Plenty of ports to handle my needs. The 16GB of RAM help keep thing moving along as well.

The Asus had good features and seems to have plenty of zip performing the tasks I use it for. I thought it had backlit keys but that is not the case and the battery life is average for a laptop but I am happy with my purchase
