Q: Is the battery replaceable? Thanks
A: Yes, but you would have to send it to Asus USA to get it replaced. There are tiny screws all around the perimeter. I just bought this laptop at best buy last weekend. Didn't get the best buy geek squad care. Then I called Asus's USA laptop line. IF you buy the laptop, you get 1 year warranty from Asus. During that year, you can mail your laptop to Asus to get your laptop battery replaced. You shouldn't do it yourself. After that year is over, you can still ship it back to Asus BUT you would have to pay for the replacement battery.
A: The max resolution supported for the HDMI port is 4096x2304@24Hz. If it is connected to a 4K monitor, it will only display at 24 frames per second.

A: I do not do any recording through the computer. We have only had the computer for @ 2 weeks, and it works great. Very fast due to the I7 processor. This past Sunday we watched a remote broadcast of 'The Nutcracker' from Monterey, CA. My wifes' niece was in the production, and it played very nicely for the entire 2 hours. Q: Will this work for gaming? (Steam/Civ 6 specifically)
A: Depends on what types of gaming you do. If you are an extreme gamer then you will probably be better off building one or purchasing a different model. If you are just a standard gamer then this will work for you. Just get the standard bloatware removed and operating system switched to the SSD and you will be able to compete with computers that cost twice as much to build.
