Easy setup and settings. I use the monitor for both my ps3 and ps4. Great graphics and price is good too.

Not a bad choice if you're dropping 150-300 bucks on a monitor. Not a good idea if you aren't tech savvy

I just bought 2 of these and they are great. They do have speakers built in that work okay, but don't sound the best. It is nice to at least have the option though. There are 2 HDMI inputs as well as a VGA input. They include a DVI to HDMI cable as well as a standard audio cable and VGA cable with the monitor. This should prevent you from needing to buy any additional cables to hook your monitor up. Picture quality is great, and with the ultra fast 1ms response time, I don't notice any kind of ghosting while playing games or watching fast moving videos. The only drawback I have is the stand. I have the 2 monitors next to each other and they are just ever so slightly off from each other. This leaves a small gap between the monitors that gets bigger towards the top. Nothing big really, just my OCD doesn't like it. The bottons are on the back side of the monitor, but they really aren't hard to use.

Overall quality seemed very nice, however the DVD stopped accepting movies in it and would just eject them after searching for them. Now only good as a TV - have not yet been able to get it to play a movie again.

Price if you want better customer service get a better warranty program that is more affordable

Needed a decent sized monitor for doing load design calculations and layouts. This was perfect for that application. Was going to purchase a different brand when I went in to the local Best Buy.I had one brand in mind but when I started speaking with the sale person they recommended a different brand it was nice but I didn't really care for the screen it was too reflective. While I was waiting for the credit to be processed I went back over and was looking to see what other options there were. Another salesman spoke with me I explained what I needed and he recommended this ASUS VN247H-P. So I immediately switched to this one, and I am very pleased I did. Noticed some other people mentioned some problems with bleed through and dead pixels. So far I haven't experienced either of those scenarios. This my third LCD/LED and it is by far the best of all! Also I like the fact that this comes with 2 HDMI inputs as well as a VGA, every thing I needed.

Dont buy these monitor go for the BenQ bran they are better

I picked this up on sale, but even at regular price this ASUS monitor is worth the buy. It has an excellent screen display along with numerous OSD customization choices. The speakers are best left unused, but most people have external ones anyway. The ports in the back are a little difficult to access even with the lift-up door, but don't let that detour you. Also of note, if you have need of downloading the Manual, it mistakenly identifies the monitor as LCD, but it's actually LED as advertised (I verified this with a phone call to ASUS). Customer support is ok, but you'll be on hold for a long time. However, you'll be more than satisfied when you pick up this baby, as it's a fine monitor with an incredible display. I'm totally sold!

I have a ViewSonic 23" monitor and was planning to buy a second monitor for a dual monitor setup at home. I really like this Asus monitor. It has VGA and HDMI Inputs, infact multiple HDMI Inputs. Image quality is great. The inbuilt speakers are good for a monitor. Easy to setup as well. Bestbuy did a price match for me as NewEgg was having the same for a lesser price. Happy with the monitor.

Okay, so this is, obviously, a critical review of this monitor. Actually, it's a critical review of three separate VN247HP monitors. I know my review will receive negative feedback as a result, but my experience(s) is what it is and I hope I can help others. I picked up one of these monitors and noticed quickly that it had severe LED light bleed. The light around the edges of the screen is bright enough that it impacts dark scenes affecting a half of an inch around the monitor but more prominent on the bottom of the screen. The light bleed caused dark objects to look purple on the bottom and top of the screen. I tried different cables (I settled on the DVI-2-HDMI cable included in the box) I found the light bleed distracting and annoying. Again, a slight bright edge on the screen didn't bother me, but the fact it affected blacks and dark browns and made them look purple seemed to be a clear defect. So, I took the monitor back and exchanged it. The second monitor, thankfully, did not have any light bleed. However, this one had a solid one inch strip on the right side of the screen that was discolored. The right side of the screen (again a solid one inch strip) was darker than the picture next to it. There was nothing on the screen to cause the discoloration. Again, I tried multiple sources and different cables. No luck. On top of that, the stand arm was bent. So, by this point, I was frustrated but decided to try one more monitor since everyone online loved this brand / model so much. The third monitor had the light bleed problem again and a severe short around the power port. So, if I barely bumped the desk, the monitor would shut off..... And, as I said, it had the annoying light bleed from before. I wish the monitor hadn't been defective. I'm a gamer and I liked the built in speakers and the fast response time. I liked the price and I felt like the monitor could have been great, but I also had problems with brightness / colors and the buttons are oddly located in my opinion. The label is on the front of the screen, but the buttons are on the back. That led to me accidentally hitting the wrong button too many times. The game and home theater setting were near useless in my opinion. They made the colors more vivid, but also caused certain colors to appear washed out. I ended up taking the third monitor back and went with the Asus VG248QE instead. That monitor is also a TFT screen with 1MS response time, but so far no bleed, discoloration, or any of the prior problems. I don't know if the Best Buy here received bad shipments, but I had three defective monitors and wouldn't recommend anyone else repeat my mistake.

I bought this monitor as a part of a 3 monitor setup (my original laptop monitor, an ASUS IPS monitor for photo/video editing, and this monitor for video games/video streaming/everyday use.) This monitor is great for what I use it for. It's not my work monitor, (I'm a photographer) it's more of my "play" monitor if I had to put a name to it. I plug my PS4 into it and play video games or stream movies and tv shows or just surf the web with it when I want a bigger screen than my laptop. The dual HDMI ports and the built in speaker are a huge benefit to me, even though the speaker isn't the greatest. The 1ms response time is incredible for gaming and I really like the matte screen. If you're looking for a monitor for gaming or just as a 2nd monitor for your computer, I don't think you'll find a better one for the price.

I was torn between this and a couple of other monitors. I basically eliminated the others one by one and this was the last one standing. I am very pleased with the performance so far. It is perfect in bright or dim lit rooms, does not rob from the clarity. And the response time could not be better. I would recommend this item to anyone.

Great monitor both in picture and price. I love it.

The picture quality was great, the screen size was amazing. I did end up returning the monitor to purchase a different brand because it does wobble easily, when I am using the keyboard or mouse while playing games.

Let me give you some information as to why i bought this monitor, I am a gamer and monitors have always been the best solution when it comes to speed on FPS (first person shooter) games. I connected this monitor to my PS4, and the picture quality is off the roof. Remember the response time is 1ms, the fastest it can be. If you are a gamer, this is probably the best bang for your buck. I highly recommend this monitor to anyone.
