Was searching for a supplemental monitor for the office as my laptop screen was just becoming too small, becoming especially challenging when trying to work on multiple documents at the same time. This allows for a much better viewing area, and easily allows for less eye strain when working on multiple items at the same time. Features / controls on monitor are easy to use. Last bonus - the B&O sound is very sharp - a pleasant surprise coming from a monitor.

Great pic,color and the framless feature is a nice touch I use it for gaming and music and it's done it's job and then some great for first person shooter I checked the ratings and review on it and it's ranked #3 on the top ten gaming monitors I would recommend this to anyone unless you have the doe for a 4k speakers deliver ok sounds but for a monitor very decent

I am using 3 of these on my gaming PC. Intel i7 4820k (liquid cooled) @4.4GHz, 16GB G.Skill RipJaws Z memory, 2 x EVGA GTX780 (liquid cooled) in SLI and the monitors make the gaming experience that much more enjoyable! The image is sharp and crisp and there are a lot of different pre-programmed image quality selections as well as the ability to adjust it to your own preferences. The small side bezels are perfect for the 3 monitor set-up. The only bad thing would be the bottom bezel which is really big compared to the sides/tops.

Awesome monitor. Brilliant colors, excellent refresh rate and easy to access Menu. I have two installed via the HDMI ports. I would definitely recommend this unit for anyone who wants an improvement and the 27" size works well for today's resource intensive content.

Great value for what it is. I like the settings it offers, and it is a beautiful display. Worth the money.

Purchased this monitor because I needed one that day and didn't want to wait for an order. My wife picked it actually, on looks alone, sure I checked to make sure it was a 5ms 60hz 1080p monitor, but the looks were really the selling point. Once I got this thing home, I put it through its paces on some light gaming and realised it did so relatively well, then I started experimenting with higher refresh rates and found that 74hz works for some reason and now this monitor is definitely decent. The lack of display port didn't affect my use as I hit that refresh rate over HDMI. The speakers were a great surprise, I didn't even know it had any, when I fired them up I found that had the quality of a good laptop speaker, world's better than alot of other monitors I've used and some tvs. I was going to give this monitor away once I received a better monitor in the mail, but now I think I'll keep it as a second screen. No regrets on this monitor, definitely recommended

i have two of this model on my L-desk and they are amazingly beautiful monitors great for everything i do with gaming to editing

This is a great monitor but you can't wall mount it! My son's room is very small had to be on the wall. My husband rigged it so we could put it on the wall. Only purchase this if setting up on a desk.

I screwed up and reviewed the wrong monitor. So I am redoing this. I purchased two 27 inch units from best buy. One Asus and one HP. The Asus as seen to the left in picture is outstanding! The hp to the right lacks color but is fair for the price paid.

I bought this for my cad designing work and it is truly amazing compared to my laptop screen. Has made my work that much easier with a much bigger viewing area. I recommend it for cad or anything I'm sure games would look really good on this monitor.

All around great display for the price. Currently using as a dual monitor with iMac and as a display for PS4. The resolution can't compete with the 5k of the Mac but it excels with the PS4 for gaming. Response time is excellent and there is no noticeable input lag time at all. The only cons are the lack of vertical height adjustment and the speakers. Asus hyped up the speakers but they do not deliver. Other than that, this is a terrific monitor.

I decided to go with 3 of these since they were on sale and replace my single 42 inch monitor when I got my new VR ready ASUS ROG computer. They look great! The scenic wall paper spans all three monitors and the beautiful scenery brightens the room. I plan to do some gaming with the monitors but haven't yet because I got the Oculus Rift with the package. Just have used the monitors for work and internet stuff.

The low glare makes this monitor a programmers dream!!!

The monitor came broken in the box. It was meant to be a present for someone special. My special someone opened the box- it looked perfectly normal. It wasn't, not at all. When we powered the monitor- it had cracks within the screen but looked perfectly fine- so something inside broke. We tried to return the monitor but they would not accept the return or exchange it at all, accusing us of breaking the unit. The box was thoroughly checked and safely loaded, and cautiously put together. I Make sure to check the screen in-store before you walk out, this applies to anything that has a screen.

I bought one for my ps4 and loved it so much that I bought a second one for my Xbox and PC

I got two of these as a gift for my nephews. they use it with the xbox1 and ps4. They wanted a ips monitor with low lag input.They been using the benq RL2455hm. The input lag on asus mx279h is 9ms and the benq is 10ms.Thats the lag from the console to the monitor. The response time is 5 ms on the asus and 1 ms on the benq. thats the gtg pixel response time. the slower time will show ghosting sooner but thats in super fast motion and my nephews playing cod said he didnt notice any. They also said its feels just as good as the benq as far as lag. The benq is now collecting dust cause they love the color of the asus, it just pops the color is really nice.they also like the bigger screen. you can see the pixel if you are a foot or two away but its not that bad and if your 3 feet or more away you dont see it at all The speakers for a flat screen are not bad but nothing ground breaking, i will say the are leaps and bounds better then the benq but they use headsets anyways The only thing they didnt like at first was the menu buttons on monitor. they are tricky at first to use but they have it mastered now and is not a issue. If you try this and are not wowed by the color make sure to go into your console display settings and make sure its set to right settings.

I bought this Monitor specifically for gaming. Two HDMI connections. Two five watt built-in speakers by Bang & Olufsen. The sound quality is much better then most of the monitors with built-in speakers I looked into buying. Sound is not 7.1 surround but pretty good about what you would expect on a mid-range gaming monitor. The controls on the left bottom are touch and very sensitive but easy to get around the built in menu. This monitor renders games in true color and I have been very impressed considering the mid-range price. Monitor is solid and the IPS allows for multi directional positioning. Screen is matte finish and does not reveal fingerprints. I am considering streaming games and will buy this monitor as my second.. By the way the stand was easy to put on the monitor. ASUS finally made something that I love. Also the Best Buy associate let me play around with the floor model which cemented my decision after researching it online.
