Months of reading: 16G RAM, 500G SSD, & Win 10 Pro in a 2.2 lb [1kg] machine almost won. Then I noticed that opening it raises the hinge edge off the table to exhaust the heat. Why? Heat slows processing. That over-rode the absence of a webcam (an absurdity in a business pc.) Bought when 3yr old ASUS died (but only the older one's solder connection to the m-board from the charger plug.) Gaming requires lots of periphera; it's for biz, not fun. Keyboard +all 3 HIDs (touch pad, touchscreen, bluetooth mouse.) So far: love it (despite still hating Win10.) Have not assessed the possibility of making it dual-boot (i.e., +Linux) so no comment there. Made for business, even if you have to carry it in your backpack walking 600 miles (1,000 km) for an architecture research project. HP Spectre a stiff competitor, & Dell too. The light weight & heat flow lured me.

I'm very pleased with this laptop thusfar. Bloatware was at a minimum, and the garbage that was preloaded was easy to uninstall. Boot up time is amazingly fast work fingerprint scanner. Can handle everything I've done on it so far with no lag. Screen is bright and takes up most of the top lid. Crazy lightweight and portable. Get the Alienware Vindicator Slim 14 laptop bag. It's a PERFECT fit for this laptop.

I love the size and the ease of use on this laptop. I purchased it because I do a lot of traveling where I need to have it with me. I had a 17" which was starting to be like a boat anchor and when it comes to getting thru airport security, it was a nightmare.
