I picked up this ASUS Chromebook mainly for everyday use — web browsing, streaming, schoolwork, and light productivity — and overall I’ve been pleasantly surprised for the price. The battery lasts a long time, easily getting through a full day of browsing and typing without needing to charge, which is super convenient when I’m out and about. The ChromeOS experience feels smooth for basic tasks, and the laptop is lightweight and easy to carry around. Best Buy That said, it’s not perfect. The screen isn’t the best — colors look pretty washed-out unless you’re directly in front of it, and the viewing angles can be frustrating when you’re trying to watch videos with others. Some people also mention that the performance can feel a bit slow if you push it with lots of tabs open or heavier tasks, and the 4 GB of RAM shows its limits. Best Buy +1 For casual users like me who just want a solid, affordable Chromebook for everyday stuff, this has been a good buy, but if you need something snappy with a sharper display, you might want to consider something slightly more powerful.

wow what a great deal, the processor is fast and snappy.. perfect for internet browsing and netflix... which is pretty much all i use it for it. its big, snappy and fast . okay, its not made for gaming, or whatever.. but its great for traveling.. and fast email and internet browsing and watching netflix and playing chess online... and the battery life is awesome doesnt over heat... works perfect on top of my bed and doesnt get hot or anything.. cant do that with normal or gaming laptop

This model Chromebook is nice if all you want to do is check email, watch a few videos or do some very light writing with docs. Anything else? Not so much. First off, the 4 gig RAM will kill you. I bought this model with the intention of doing light writing with docs and soon determined that even text only based activity is a huge drag on the memory so you end up sitting there for 20 seconds or longer until the OS decides to open your app. Also, don't even think about multitasking because this model will be on its knees with only 2 open tabs in the browser. And while the option to use the VM for Linux is nice, because of the only 4gb of RAM, you will be waiting for the OS to catch up with what you want to do. BUT Considering the price tag, that's about the only plus it has going for it. SO if you want a glorified tablet with an external keyboard, and you don't want to spend a lot, then this model is for you. All others? Buy a Chromebook with AT_LEAST 8gb of RAM but be advised, if your writing includes having to resize from 8.5x11 to anything other than what Google has decreed you can use, then just buy a laptop because Docs is 100% inferior for resizing pages. Google nuked the page resizer extension and now users are stuck with whatever presized templates Google decides to include. But that is a separate matter.

I'm a big Chromebook fan. So when my old chromebook was running down, I found this Asus one. I was very glad to see it was on sale and I decided that other members of my household could use new laptops so we got three. So far I have been using it everyday and have had no issues. The screen is good. The sound isn't bad for a laptop. The battery has been pretty good too. I am also satisfied with the keyboard. I liked discovering the little extras. The included switch to cover the camera and the little hook thing for the tip of the charging cable. I have a wire frame next to my table where I hook the cable to so I can be safely placed. It also came with a wired mouse that I didn't realize it came with. I haven't used a mouse in years but it's nice to have it around just in case I want to use it. My old laptop did not open up flat at 180 degrees but I like that this one does.

Decent battery life. It is fast and responsive. Good value for the price! We use this regularly and run a business off of it.

Has enough speed and memory to run a movie and surf the net. The AI assistant is not bad, the graphics are what they are, the keyboard is a little big and hard to get used, as the keys give early 2000 vibes, but for the price it's a hell of a machine.

If you are looking for an everyday laptop; doing simple tasks, browsing and use it to watch a movie, it should do the job with breeze. Its very light weight, ergonomic and long lasting battery.

I think this is a great bargain- the look and feel is great. The battery life is 15 hours at low display, the Chromebook stays cool even when charging and it charges fast. Even with multiple files open it doesn't slow down. Excellent for everyday use. There is nothing not to like at the price

Got it on sale. Very good value for the price I paid. It is lightweight enough to place in my lap while watching TV. Battery life is quite good. The screen is a little dim, but if you turn on dark mode the text on the screen is much easier to read, plus it saves on battery life.

This laptop advertises 16 GB of graphics memory on the box, however this is only 8 GB of dedicated GPU memory. This system would get super, and I mean super! Hot when running LLMs using the GPU, and the woofers and tweeters were out of sync with each other, making the audio experience almost unusable. Otherwise the system was as fast as a legacy X86-64 CPU can be.

I was pleasantly surprised by its performance and battery life. Screen quality is poor, but at this price point you shouldn’t expect much anyway. It’s a good “beater” I use it for remote access and quick browsing. Build quality is from good to acceptable. Would definitely pick this again over any celeron equipped model. Wi-Fi is not as good as the intel models, but for the tasks you’ll be performing in a chromebook, should be fine.

Had to update my old chromebook. Purchased this ASUS chromebook as a replacement. Very easy setup, perfect size & perfect for my needs!!

This chromebook is great for web- browsing. and using Goggle cloud services like Sheets, Drive, Forms, Docs,,etc. Great moblie device that allow me to leave my main laptop at home but I am still able to acess all of my Goggle cloud files. The price point of this chromebook reduce my concern about it being damaged or lost when I am away from home/traveling. I take this chromebook and use it places away from home with no major concerns. Great, smart purchase.

Perfect for kids starting out gaming or 1st laptop in general. My aon is in 1st grade and love it! Its lightweight, long-term battery life, qnd slick.
