This new ASUS Convertible laptop is one of the most anticipated Chromebooks to come out in the last 6 months. It is the first major Chromebook to be released in 2017. It offers a great balance of performance and good looks. It has an all aluminum chassis, much like a more expensive MacBook. The full-HD panel is sure to look great and the backlit keyboard is rare on a Chromebook. Chromebooks are great for everyday computing. I use my Acer Chromebook 14 for work and at home. I never run into any issues and love that the updates happen in the background so I never have to be interrupted by reboot requests. If you don't need specialized software that requires Windows or Mac to run, then a Chromebook is the best choice for a laptop today. This ASUS will not let you down and is a deal at the $500 price point!

You certainly don't want to pay more for this model then the higher horsepower version with the Intel Core m3. However, the build quality of these C302's is very nice (similar to the smaller 10" Asus Flip Chromebook). This 'base' model with just the Pentium processor is still very fast and runs UNBELIEVABLY cool. I've used this for hours and I cannot feel any heat coming off the aluminum case! And there is no cooling fan or vents in evidence. I purchased this for a very attractive price (open box) and I'm quite happy with it's condition. I've owned and used a lot of different Chromebooks from various manufacturers and this one tops the list.

I purchased this new Asus Flip 2 on line from Best Buy. I was very excited to finally get my hands on it. It's a great chrombook with a wonderful screen, backlit keyboard solid all aluminum build. BUT, I found out that other vendors, actually all other vendors, including Asus direct were selling the unit with an M3 processor and 64 GB of storage for the same price. The BB unit is a pentium CPU and 32 GB of Ram. What's up with that?? At any rate I returned it and am awaiting my "normal" spec'd Chromebook.

I don’t usually leave reviews for products because they usually do what they set out to do and never really exceed my expectations. I am deff wrong when it comes to the ASUS Chromebook Flip C302. This thing is a rocket. This is faster than my macbook pro (2014 version) and doesn’t get hot. I mainly bought this to replace my heavy and bulky 15inch macbook pro and all I can say is this thing is pure joy to work with. Google docs, hard drive space, fast processor, and lightweight. It is also fanless so doesn’t make noise. I had a hard time finding out how to use android apps on it like some people are saying in reviews, but after doing a quick search on youtube I was easily able to be walked through the steps and its all up and running. Pretty strange experience using phone apps on my laptop. But after getting used to it. I am hooked. Love this thing, worth every penny and have not had a single problem. Buy with confidence.

This model that Best Buy sells is *not* the one you think you're getting. The model getting all the great reviews around the internet is spec'd with the m3 processor and 64 gb flash storage. This one's got the pentium processor with 32 gb flash storage. In all honesty, most people probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference, processor-wise. And storage isn't really an issue with chromebooks (for me, anyway) since most everything I use them for is cloud-based. Besides, if it's that important to you, you can always get a 128 gb microSD card to leave in there and voila, you've got a pseudo MacBook Air.

This is the lesser model with the slower pentium 4405Y processor - asus own website sells a better m3 processor with 64GB storage at the same price as best buy.
