    Nexus 7 3.0

This tablet has proven to be zippy, fluid and stylish! I call it my Nexus 7 3.0... Does everything I need it to do and it even fits into my back pocket. Sleek and unique, and fully capable! This tablets memory can be expanded to accommodate 32 extra Gigabits which is fantastic... I only wish the microSD slot had a cover as the SD card is always exposed so you'll have to be mindful of how you handle the tablet around the card slot. Great Machine None The Less!

The screen quality is amazing. The look and feel is great. It is also very quick. Asus keeps it up to date with new features like a dual apps feature.

I bought the ASUS ME572C tablet for my fiancee` for Christmas. She really wanted a Samsung Tab 4, but it was out of my price range in the 16GB version. I also didn't want another Samsung (we already have an S3 and a Note 2), so I convinced her to be OK with me getting the ASUS. I am glad I did because she loves the ASUS, even after she got to mess around with her step-brother's Tab 4. First, the screen on this tablet is fantastic. 1920 x 1200 (HD 16:10) is an incredible resolution in this price range (Lenovo S8 is the only other one). The processor in this is quite snappy, and we have yet to see any slow load times. The processor is one of Intel's newest offerings released in Q4 2014, so it should be future proofed for quite awhile. The reason I pushed for the ASUS was build quality, OS, and specs. The build quality makes this tablet look and feel like a premium piece of hardware. By far the best build quality of all the tablets I picked up (Samsung, Lenovo, Acer, ASUS MeMo, etc). ASUS's Zen OS is one of the more lightly-skinned Android OS's you can get. It is as close to a Nexus 7" device as you can get without buying the 2013 Nexus 7. I originally bought the Lenovo S8, but I returned it because of the OS. The lack of a launcher, and other Lenovo tweaks made it less desirable to me because I was giving it to my computer novice fiancee`. Also, both of us currently have Galaxy devices, so we are very familiar with Touch Wiz and its shortcomings/issues. As far as specs go the ASUS lands on top. The Lenovo S8 is right there with it, albeit with a marginally slower processor. The ASUS has a better screen (1920 x 1200), faster processor (1.8GHz Intel Moorefield Quad Core), more RAM (2GB), and higher build quality than all of its closest competitors. Also, to the people that complain about the large vertical bezels around the screen - not a big deal at all. I hate bezels, but these serve a purpose. They give you plenty of area to hold onto the tablet without constantly fat-fingering the screen. tl:dr Get the ASUS ME572C, you won't regret it.

    ASUS ME-572 - A Very Capable Tablet

I had wanted to pick up a tablet for general purposes. I did have a few specific features in mind. I decided the 7 inch form factor would serve my specific needs best. Given the tendency for apps to grow ever more memory hungry, I wanted the device to have 2GB of main memory. That reduced the possible choices considerably. I also wanted a high resolution display to make the smallish screen easier on the eyes. And a snappy processor so games, apps and videos loaded and ran smoothly. And a price under $200.00. After considerable research, this Asus ME-572 was the best fit that I could find. The ME-572 ships with 2GB of RAM and the new Moorefield Intel Atom Z3560 quad core 64 bit processor. This gives it more than enough horsepower for any app you can throw at it. I've heard that some games written for the more common ARM processors can be problematic, although I haven't had any issues with any apps. The tablet has a 7” 1900×1200 IPS screen powered by a PowerVR G6430 graphics processor, the same one used in the iPad mini with Retina Display and iPhone 5s. The final factor was that Best Buy had the unit for $30-$90 less than any other source I could find. If you're looking for a smaller tablet with smoking performance that won't break the bank, you won't find much better than the ASUS ME-572.

This thing is fast and looks beautiful. You can run multiple apps easily and it has a great battery life. The price is very good for a tablet like this...the size and processor. It cleans easily and fits into just about any universal case. You can add extra storage through a micro SD card, which I recommend. I use it with my son for helping him with school work and the Google voice works wonders. Great overall tablet in terms of price, specs, size, quality and durability. Great for games and Internet....watching movies or television shows is a pleasure.

Great Way to Familiarize Yourself with Android

This is a fantastic Android Tablet for the money. It's powerful enough to be useful and the 7" screen provides excellent graphics and contrast. This Asus Tablet is small enough to carry around, big enough to use effectively in most circumstances and the battery life is surprisingly good. Light weight, easy to use and equipped with pretty good speakers, this is an ideal low-cost tablet for regular use and perfect for travel. If you're looking for a great camera, this isn't the tablet for you, but it's adequate. I'm listening to music as I write this review and am awed by the quality of the speaker system given the price. I also found it to be an excellent way to research and test apps before placing them on my far more expensive Android phone. Definitely a great Product for the Price!

This tablet is an unbeatable value. Nice screen, good battery life, SD card slot, fast processor, 2GB of ram and built well. Asus seems to provide periodic updates to their O/S, though really waiting for a 64bit version of lollipop to be released so the chip can be used to the fullest.

I bought this tablet as a replacement for my broken nexus 7 2nd gen. It has everything the Nexus 7 had plus much more and a great price. The micro SD card slot makes storage upgrades super cheap!! This tablet ROCKS!!! I love it and at $161 NOTHING comes close. 2gb RAM means you can run whatever you want with no lag. The Intel atom processor blows out the old snapdragon processor from the Nexus. Was away cheaper than than the Nexus 6 or 9, cleaner interface than the Samsung's, and the boost feature clears up memory much faster than regular task killers. Asus has done it again! It might not be Shiny white but it performs beyond expectations! Go buy one!

I had a galaxy tab 2 before I got this one. I was in the Best Buy store for an hour trying to find a good tablet. I picked this one! I love it! It is so fast! The screen has such great quality! I look the variety of apps you can get! It is great for multitasking. I like that it has a reading setting in the drop down menu. It makes reading on my tablet much more comfortable. I love that it has 16 gb instead of 8 because I can add more apps and pdf files on it. It is very light and easy to carry. The only downside is trying to find a case and screen protector for it. I found those on amazon for a good price though. I just wish there was more of a variety of cases. I love this tablet so much! It is perfect!

I was looking for an update to my Nexus 7 - that is, a small form tablet with solid specs, a good screen, on the Android platform. The Asus meets all of those requirements with a fast processor, a bright, clear screen, and a not too intrusive Asus-version of Android. It also has an external microSD slot (though, Asus locks you from writing anything to it from the tablet, meaning you need to load it up using your computer - a bummer). Sound is also improved over the Nexus, though it's not going to blow you away in terms of sound quality; it just happens to be louder. I haven't played much with the camera, but coming from the old Nexus 7, the fact that it HAS a camera on the back is a boon. The only thing I hadn't noticed that is a negative is that it doesn't work on a 5Ghz wireless band. That means that using it on a dual band home network, it remains on the generally more trafficked 2.4 Ghz band. This can be a problem if you have a lot of devices connected to your wireless network. Is this an iPad or a Surface, with a ton of bells and whistles? No. But it is a solid tablet that's great for media consumption, simple gaming or business applications, and reading.

This is my third tablet after buying two sub-$100 tablets that performed poorly. I needed a good tablet for apps/games that require decent processing power and enough RAM to not lock up. This device has 2GB of RAM (the most you will find) and a great Quad-core 1.8 GHZ processor. The only reasons that I didn't give this product five stars is that the screen is only 7 inches, it heats up slightly when playing some apps and has occasionally locked up (but it only happens with one app). Otherwise, it is a very speedy and useful product made by a company that makes desktop computers. It is a quality product.

I originally started looking at this tablet because of its amazing style. It's thin and looks really cool. Then I started looking at the internals and was quite impressed. For the price it's very fast, and there's nothing I've tried to do on it that I haven't been able to do. The two gigabytes of RAM is kind of unique at this pric point right now. I went from a Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7" to this and have no regrets at all. They're not even close but are priced the same.

Great tablet for the cost. High resolution display is very bright and has great colors. Speakers are very good. Overall tablet finish is excellent. Intel Atom Z3560 Quad-Core 64 bit CPU runs this device nicely. Battery life is great. My only complaint is, when are we going to get Android 5 Lollipop? This Asus ME572C has to be the best deal around for well under 2 C-Notes! The only other device that tempted me was the Galaxy S Tab 8.4. Would have liked the slightly bigger screen with more resolution, but not at more than twice the price. Very happy with my choice of the Asus ME572C.

This 7 in. tablet is quick to respond to touch, the screen resolution is better than my Surface RT. Love the fact that I can add storage with a micro SD card. Easy to hold and read. Found an inexpensive case for it on ebay. Only issue that has recently happened has to deal with connectivity issues with some wifi locations and erasing the security keys. This was an Open Box item and it came without a spot or blemish. Some Amazing online sites was selling this item for $200-$400. Great deal!

Pros - Nice high resolution screen - Very responsive, Asus ZEN UI is actually nice - Supports Lollipop via OTA update - supports Bluetooth Low Energy - MicroSD card slot Cons - Rear camera is very grainy, front camera isnt much better - Wi-Fi is single band (No 5GHz support) - Cannot cast screen using Chromecast app (I have not tested with Lollipop) - Tons of bloatware, even more after lollipop update - 16GB storage, only 10GB usable I bought this after seeing a friend with this tablet. Its very sleek and the back has a carbon fiber type feel making it easy to grip. It fits well in one hand. Overall this is a great tablet, which is more than capable of doing anything you throw at it. I primarily use it for, reading, browsing, watching online courses on Udemy, and testing mobile websites. It handles all of it flawlessly. The lack of dual band Wi-Fi is disappointing and is not mentioned in the specs on Best Buy or Asus site. Because of this and not being able to cast my screen to my chromecast I gave it 4 stars. I hope this helps future buyers.

I really love this tablet, it's speedy and has an excellent screen and speakers. There is a fair amount of Asus bloat, but it's pretty easily ignorable. The corners of the tablet are a little sharp, but that's pretty easy to forgive. The top and bottom bezels are a little large as well, but for a tablet that hangs around my apartment, it doesn't really matter. Overall the build quality is really good; it's very sturdy with no creaking of the case. About the speakers: They sound great and get quite loud! Other people say it's easy to cover them up with your hands when holding it in landscape to play a game or something, but I've found that they sit well above where I put my hands, so it has never been an issue. I highly recommend this tablet!

This tablet is for my son. He broke his nexus 7 and I had been looking for a replacement. Nexus 7 is discontinued after shopping around and purchasing other brands I came across this Asus. This is hands down the nexus 7's replacement maybe even faster. Great display great speed only thing I do not like is that this tablet does not support Wireless n on the 5.0 ghz network. Recommend
