Well don't waste more time waiting to catch a 3070 in the drops on best buy, i try it for 10 months, and i lost 10 months on not having a good pc for play games, this one is all u need, and you can change in the future a few pieces for better performance, buts its better that not having a decent graphic card. how much time are you gona waste waiting to catch a graphic card, lest be really, full stocks of gpu are not gona happen at least for a few years.

NOT A SET UP AND GO PC. Amazing specs for $1600, but be warned. The cooling is horible. The case is fine, and attractive, but very hard to work with when installing fans and a CPU cooler, Which You Will Need. Do not go over 145mm height for an air CPU cooler, it will not fit. I had to go with a Corsair H60 Liquid cooler because it was what I could to fit. Would not let me add any pictures.

This case has terrible air flow and cooling. There is a single 80mm fan for case exhaust and it runs LOUD a lot. Even with the turbo fans running, cpu temps rarely go below 75 degrees Celsius (ideally you want under 50 for optimal performance. Many people online have ended up dealing this case out, which of course void the manufacturers warranty. Additionally the factory software (called Armourcrate) is buggy, doesn't control the led on the video card, and has very little fan / cpu control. If left in this case with no cooling modifications I would not expect this computer to last very long.

      Dear Valued Customer,

Certainly, we understand your disappointment with the case and the Armoury Crate application. This is not the kind of experience we want any of our customers to have. It is normal for the desktop, with the same hardware configuration and regardless of the manufacturer, to generate more heat than normal while under heavy load especially during gaming, WINDOWS Update, and antivirus scan. When system resource utilization is high, this will generate more heat than normal and tends to trigger the fan to spin at full throttle. Please ensure the air ventilations are free from obstructions in order to have an efficient airflow for better heat dissipation. While gaming, please ensure no resource-hungry applications are running in the background, this will definitely spike the temperature. The heat or temperature does decreases or normalizes once system resource utilization goes down. For Armoury Crate, please attempt to completely re-install the app from our website below. For further troubleshooting, feel free to reach out to me at customerloyalty@asus.com and provide this link for reference. I'll do my best to provide a quick resolution to your case. Your feedback is important as it helps with improvements to ASUS Support channels.

5 stars after you do the required upgrades to it !! A new case (corsair 4000D airflow) and liquid cooling (kraken z63 or which ever you like) and that’s pretty much it. Its fast and performance is really good and next level. Runs smooth and no loud at all. Best way to get a 30 series card in this gpu shortage and its q great deal for the parts it come with. So buy it if you can!

Great first pc buy and definitely easy to set up. The only thing that I would upgrade is the cpu cooler ( which can be very loud at times) and maybe upgrade to 32 gigs of ram. Honestly have not had any issues with it gaming wise I get really good frames on everything I play and don’t run into a lot of issues. Buying a prebuild you’re going to have some cheap parts and if you want a 3070 buy this one and upgrade the cpu cooler and you’re good to go.

It’s a good value for price PC. I (like most people who probably bought this) probably went for the 3070 that lives inside. If you are a little advanced and know how to upgrade the pc, go for it. It is, however, very hard to upgrade. There is VERY little room in there. The BIOS is also a special made one, meaning that you cannot adjust fan speeds from windows. There is no compatible program as far as I’ve seen.

DO NOT BUY - INSTANT SHUTDOWN

DO NOT BUY THIS PC! I first read the reviews of people complaining about it not having enough cooling, but I'm just a normal guy that likes to play casual games. However, this PC has shut down suddenly within minutes of doing ANYTHING that taxes the CPU at all. Just a straight system halt shutdown. My wife was just doing a word document and it shut down on her. I can't even imagine trying to deal with ASUS support on this, so I just boxed it up and back it goes to BB.

      Dear Marcbollinger,

The auto-shutdown is possibly a thermal issue. Please ensure the air ventilations are free from obstructions in order to have an efficient air flow for better heat dissipation. While gaming, please ensure no resource hungry applications are running in the background, this will definitely spike the temperature. The heat or temperature does decreases or normalizes once system resource utilization goes down.

This is a bargain, but Asus sure did cheap out on thermals, particularly on the CPU cooler. I was only updating Windows and I hit 100 C on the CPU package. Kinda unacceptable, but I have no issues replacing it either. If you buy this, make sure you replace the CPU heatsink. Might also want to add some intake fans in the front.

The specs are great, and the RGB compliments the case well. There's no front case fans or top case fans. I really wish they put some cheap fans pre-installed. Now I bought new fans for the top of my case and an AIO CPU cooler to attach on the front. The performance is great but the PC sounds like an airplane taking off 20% of the time (GPU fans spinning lik crazy).

I would give this 4 stars but I think I think it's gotten some unfair reviews. This case has so much ventilation and plenty of room to add case fans. I've added two 120mm fans as front intake and temps are perfectly fine. There's even room for another 120mm and probably a 92mm fan up top if you want even more airflow. Sure, it would've been nice if they included more fans, and maybe a better cpu cooler, but the case looks great and the build quality and cable management are top notch. Given the price of gpus these days, $1600 for this system is a great deal.

As others have noted, that while the specs are solid for the price, the cooling system is completely inadequate. The processor would heat up to the point of shutdown under the lowest of demands. In order to do more than check email, I immediately installed a NZXT - Kraken 240mm AIO and a 120mm exhaust fan, which was a bit of a pain due to lack of mounting points, but it worked. Having been very pleased with other ASUS computers in the past, I was disappointed that they would ship this as it is.

The case design and ventilation are not ideal. The CPU's cooler is quite loud when running over 90%. If you are willing to run the computer with the removed side panel then it may be passable. The motherboard has limited expansion slots and the power supply meets only the minimum requirements. On the plus side the video card is good and given the current market, that's the main selling point.

Would be a five star rating if I didn’t have to replace the stock cooler. Pc would crash on pretty much anything other than Genshin Impact with jet noises to accompany it. I replaced the cooler with the Vetroo V5 based off reviews I saw before the purchase and it hasn’t crashed since. Only recommend if you are handy enough to replace the fan.
