Poor build cheap case

not sure if worth it

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i want to love this computer, but problems keep popping up. lately i have problems waking the pc from sleep. video either doesnt turn on, or mouse doesnt operate properly (something with onboard usb controller) I'm worried that I ended up buying a prebuilt machine just to get access to an nvidia card, And will have to build another machine just to get gear right. love the case design.

Because the first one the mobo went out in two week. The second one the gpu went out after 6 months. I updraded ram and heatsink. Gpu still ran at 80c. Would not recommend this system.

We're sorry to hear about your PC runnimg hot. The fans in the computer helps circulate air to maintain a stable and safe temperature of the internal system. The fan speed will be changed with the CPU/GPU temperature. The CPU/GPU temperature will be rise, when running huge and intensive programs, such as heavy loading games, video editing, transcoding, and big data operating. Then thermal fan will speed up and let more cold air pass through the thermal module to achieve the purpose of cooling. At this time, you may hear thermal fan spins loudly, especially in a quiet environment. Your computer may overheat because of insufficient air flow due to dust, hair, or debris blocking the air vents. We would recommend that you try reolocting the PC to a cooler environment and update the BIOS on this model.

We certainly understand your disappointment and the inconvenience this may have caused if the desktop PC stop working after a week of usage.
All ASUS products undergo intensive quality control testing and inspections, and are built to last, this is a random problem. The cooling system is adequate to dissipate excessive heat while the PC is under heavy load. Any PC with the same hardware configuration, regardless of the manufacturer, will generate more heat than normal while under heavy load especially during gaming, WINDOWS Update and antivirus scan. When system resource utilization is high, this will generate more heat than normal and tends to trigger the fan to spin at full-throttle. Please ensure the air ventilations are free from obstructions in order to have an efficient air flow for better heat dissipation. While gaming, please ensure no resource hungry applications are running in the background, this will definitely spike the temperature. The heat or temperature does decreases or normalizes once system resource utilization goes down.
