Unfortunately it seems my desktop was removed previously. It wasn’t mentioned as open box but I had several deep scratches on the case and discoloration on the front which I provided in photos below. The protection on the glass was also partially pulled down. I tried contacting the store I bought it from but with Black Friday weekend going on I haven’t heard anything back. I’ve been in the market for the past three months on getting into a desktop. Having been a laptop gamer and a ASUS aficionado for the last seven years I was excited to finally get a home base pc. This one hits all the marks. 3080 10GB TUF - ✅ i7-12700KF - ✅ These two paired together make gaming fantastically fun. Easily run all titles out on ultra with no issues, the 3080 TUF is a Strix in disguise and overall the best value on these cards imo. 16GB isn’t horrible but easily able to add new RAM for your needs. Access is a breeze. The 2TB HDD is nice to have but I wish the SSD was a little bit bigger, 512 is decent but understandable at this price point. Previous reviews mention the fan and space being a issue. I’ve played several games to try and push it to the limit and while the fans did increase in sound they were in no way beyond what’s normally expected. Cooling seemed fine during my play throughs but for long gaming sessions this might be proved wrong, the fan situation is pretty inadequate and you may see higher temps associated with it. The case is tight inside and I’d be hard pressed in trying to add anything else, upgrading can be a issue for the future. Especially with 40 series cards. Build quality is good, I’m not familiar with ASUS desktops (only their laptops) but this one is put together nicely. It does seem every desktop could have different internals so definitely check it out as mine came with a 800W power supply instead of the 750W as described. I had several BSOD appear within the first three hours of start up. After messing with bios and safe mode I thankfully was able to get it working. Not sure if it was a windows issue or a internal issue but hasn’t came back so far.

I bought this pre-built for the 3080 to get smoother VR gameplay for Sim racing. I can turn up alot of settings and still get very good VR experience. Sim racing at 4k 120hz with all the settings on EPIC or ULTRA look stunning. Pc is great and I absolutely would recommend it. HOWEVER the front plate to the PC case is a horrendous design. The front plate is stopping the PC from breathing and brings the gaming temps up to 85-100 Celsius. I added more Noctua fans and that didn't help. Trying to get a 240mm AIO up top is nearly impossible. Get the PC for the 3080 and the i7 12700k. DEFINITELY buy a new PC case to avoid any performance throttling or damage. I bought me a Corsair PC case and AIO in store to remediate the high Temps. Added some 32 RGB RAM. Added another 2tb NVME. It was my first time doing a PC swap. Daunting at first but took lots of pics along the way. Just be slow, gentle, and patient. If you can work on a car you can change a PC case. Just don't do it on carpet and maybe wear some nylon gloves to avoid static electricity frying your PC.

I have been sold on Asus products after my first ROG gaming router and man, Asus has never done me wrong. This is a great PC that you know won’t turn into a giant furnace inside due to questionable building principles like for example, CyberpowerPC, who cuts corners on cooling big time. If you are hesitant to build your own PC but want quality parts, nice software integration, solid performance, this is the PC for you. They give a mouse and keyboard with the PC but I’m peeved the keyboard doesn’t even light up. Useless, i’m throwing it in the trash. I’d rather them shave off $100 of the price. I don’t downplay my review stars for minor things such as wanting more lighting, or color schemes, etc. This is a small and light desktop case. I wish the front looked more modern with the case, so way more see throughness. So, it has the viewable side panel but the front gives 1999 desktop black pc vibes despite some chroma trim on it. It has a nice lifting handle that I like more than I thought. Wish the logo on the front glowed maybe it’d look better. I’m a 5’10 female, easy to lift, lightweight. I have a Samsung Odyssey G9 monitor hooked up to this with display port, works good together no issues.

I purchased this PC on sale for the i7 and 3080 even after reading the reviews about heat. Adding additional cooling is easy, but the thin case limits the options for fans in certain positions. 120mm fit fine in the top front and the front. Upgrading the rear fan and pc cooler require an 80mm and the included fans very loud. And when I say loud, I mean I can hear the fans over my headset at full volume. Just wanted to let any potential buyers know that if you game, expect to spend some money on upgrades, or you’ll probably wind up flying the thing. Before I added fans it was running out over 90 degrees Celsius. While i was in there I replaced the 16 GB of RAM with 64 GB of Corsair vengeance ram. Its a beast now!!

Had it for a little over a year now, i love it so far, the only problem really is there is only one cheaper fan that doesnt help too much so sometimes my pc will be quite loud. Other than that the performance has been great.

ASUS Strix G15CF-I73080VR is prepared to hit the gaming ground running right out of the box. Included in the box is the PC itself, a wired membrane keyboard, and a wired optical mouse. Included mouse and keyboard are decent for getting started. PC is blazing fast. 12th generation Intel i7 and Asus TUF 3080 are VR ready, and can push 4k, high fidelity gaming. High framerates at high graphical settings are effortlessly delivered by this PC. Case had 1 pre-installed 92mm fan. CPU air cool has another 92mm fan. Case fan is not PWM, whereas the CPU fan is. CPU fan gets considerably loud when CPU is under an intensive load. Fans cannot be mounted to the top of the case. Theoretically, one 120mm fan might be able to be mounted to the front if front panel was removed. Glass side panel, programmable RGB LEDs, carry handle, and a headphone holder are nice features of the case. Front panel IO include a headphone jack, microphone jack, one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C, and a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A port. Side panels are connected by 2 Phillips head screws each. ASUS ROG motherboard and unlocked Intel CPU provides extensive tweaking functionality within the BIOS. RAM is easily upgradeable, although 16GB is currently adequate for most gaming. Windows 11 Home installation has no unessential bloatware and is mostly stock. Key device and system updates are performed through ASUS Armoury Crate software. The software displays system telemetry and is also home to the RGB LED control named “Aura Sync”. WIFI 6 (802.11ax) connectivity is blazing fast on a supported router. CPU reached a maximum temperature of 100 degrees Celsius and thermal throttled during both Time Spy Extreme and GTA V benchmarks. The CPU also reached 100 degrees during normal gameplay of GTA V. The processor’s T-junction (maximum temperature) is 100 degrees Celsius. This is an issue as the CPU is thermal throttling, reducing its clock speed, at this temperature thus lowering its performance. If this thermal issue was not present this product would have received 5 stars. Overall, the ASUS Strix G15CF-I73080VR is a solid pre-built gaming pc for the serious gamer. At an excellent price point Asus delivers an astonishingly fast gaming system with amazing graphics from the Asus TUF 3080 graphics card.

Specs of System Reviewed: Intel i7 12700KF at 3.61 GHz 16 GB DDR 4 3200 RTX 3080 10GB TUF GPU 512 Gen 4 PCIe 4 NVMe 1TB 7200 RPM spindle HDD The ASUS ROG STRIX G15CF is an excellent prebuilt gaming PC by ASUS. This is an area where most gamers will agree, systems do not meet the mark. Prebuilt PCs are mostly considered a waste of money by enthusiasts and gamers alike. As one of those audience members, I have to say, ASUS changed my mind on this one. I am going to largely focus my review on gaming performance, but I want to mentions a few quick "build" features first: Case: The case is clean and maintains excellent airflow. Under full load, my system maintained below 85 degrees Celsius the entire time. The CPU cooler used is large and efficient. It has plenty of air flow and does a good job Ports: Plenty of modern ports from Display port, HDMI, and USB C RAM is in a dual channel configuration, often something incorrectly done on other prebuilts. Motherboard and GPU are also ASUS ROG quality you'd expect. Good capacitors, good heat shields, good cable management Fans are loud, but with a decent headset, they are not noticeable. Now onto actual performance: 3D Mark scored 16649 which is slightly below average of 17349 however, the TUF RTX 3080 ASUS ships is capable of overclocking, so higher scores are easily achievable. Superposition scored 6575 Counter Strike GO with all settings on maximum quality at 1440p resolution maintained 380+ FPS without hesitation Battlefield 2042 with ultra setting including ray tracing enabled, at 1440p resolution maintained 100 FPS Fortnite with everything on ultra at 1440p with Ray Tracing was 44 FPS Fortnite with everything on ultra at 1440p with Ray Tracing with DLSS turned on 71 FPS Red Dead Redemption, with max settings enabled at 1440p with DLSS turned off hit a minimum of 19 FPS and a maximum of 129 FPS with an average of 69 FPS As you can see by these numbers, this system is more than capable of adequately playing AAA games the way they are meant to play around the 60 FPS mark. With minor adjustments, it's easy to get all games within the 100+ FPS mark. I'd say anyone considering buying a prebuilt machine and does not want to build their own, this is the prebuilt system to buy, hands down, no comparison. For those who still cannot get an RTX 3080 by itself and plan on also getting a motherboard and CPU upgrade, may want to consider this as an option as well. Cost is comparable to maybe +$300 more than what it would cost to build your own, and at only a $300 mark up, your saving time and getting an RTX 3080 GPU :)

Asus has always seemed to come through for me in the past with it's stellar performance laptops, yet this time I took a chance on one of there desktops. This baby comes loaded with a 12th Gen Intel core i7 12700kf 3.61 GHz Processor as well as the amazing GEFORCE RTX 3080 graphics card which I was looking forward to test driving. My last PC build runs the 2080Ti currently, so I was curious to see the difference. Before I get to excited, let's start with the look first. The computer has a nice futuristic/retro gaming case with a clear glass side panel showing all of it's guts and RGB wonderland. Definitely not lacking any ports in the back. So thumbs up there. I had this thing up and running in a matter of minutes. Windows 11 already installed and ready to go. The only time consuming part was downloading all the games I wanted to play an test for the next 4 days. I made a few adjustments to my mouse and added the Dolby Atmos Headset grabbed a redbull and it was on. First game I played was PUBG and played for approximately 3-4 hours. Set everything at high res to test it's graphics and response time. I didn't once experience any delay and for once the game never crashed on me. Movement and response time seemed very fluent and felt I was getting more kills during my game play. My FPS was running around 210-220. So far everything looked really promising. Note: One thing I did notice was how hot the glass panel was getting which raised a little concern and figured I would monitor that more closely the following day. The second game I ended up playing was New World. The graphics were clean and crisp with again no signs of delay in movement and speed. After about 2 hours of play I began monitoring the CPU temp, it seem to hover between 72 and 83 degrees Celsius which seemed okay. I didn't feel the same amount of heat that I did the night before. So I decided to play PUBG a second time to see if it would heat up again and it did. Peaking sometimes at 89 degrees Celsius. I decided to go into the Armoury Crate app and switch the CPU and GPU performance to "Turbo" which was to increase the fan speed and duration and which is usually used during long game play. Unfortunately, I didn't see a huge amount of temp decrease. The following day I played Call of Duty as well as Rust. Putting in about 20 hours of game play in about 4 days the system although ran hot, played flawlessly with not a single system crash. Knowing the 3080 uses a lot of power and runs a little hotter, the cooling system seems fine. I think it's more the matter of ventilation of that heat within the case itself. If the temps get any higher as I continue to enjoy this PC I will most likely change out the case and do a few minor alterations to the build just for piece of mind. I would have liked to test this beauty in 4k but was unable to since all three of my my monitors although have g-sync, run at a max res of 1920 x 1080. To be honest , the graphics on all the games were super nice and smooth. Between the quick start up with the SSD and the memory capacity, this thing is really nice and will be perfect for any gamer for years to come. The only reason I gave this 4 stars, is I think they could have improved the case to have more ventilation knowing how hot these powerful cards run. Note: My only concern was the heat, yet not a single time did any game or the system itself crash. This is a solid PC built for lasting use in the years to come.

Superb GeForce RTX 3080 gaming PC

    >> Overview In these times of hardware shortages, it is pleasant to find a machine like the ASUS GT15CF-I73080VR Gaming Desktop. Its key component is the GPU, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080, that tied with the Intel i7 12th gen processor allows you to enjoy playing your favorite PC games for a great graphics/visual experience (note it is not a 3080-Ti version.) Its construction is solid, and it is a little heavy, but it has a handle at the top of the case that makes it easy to move the machine around when needed. I even took the gaming PC to a road trip where I spent a couple of nights playing games with family, and it has held itself together nicely with everything working fine after coming back home. It comes with enough ports to attach different peripherals (includes USB-C ports.) The design of the case is stylish with one side having a clear plastic cover so you can see what is inside. It has enough lights that change color when functioning, that they are not a distraction but an addon to the gaming experience. In all, I am happy to own this Asus. >> Gaming Playing some of the top games I own, Forza 5, Halo Infinite and Microsoft Flight Simulator, has been an awesome experience. Only Forza had an error about outdated drivers for the Graphics Card, but I discarded that error message, and I was able to play with it no issues. I will update those drivers anyway; it is only interesting that there were no messages for updating them in the different Asus applications nor in Windows Update. Graphics overall are outstanding, and it looks like, getting a gaming monitor at 144Hz or higher would be something desirable to have an even better experience. Overall, I haven’t experienced overheating, or the fans going nuts as it was my experience with other hardware in the past (got the feeling the machine as about to take-off), so I am pleased with that. For instance, when playing Halo and Forza the temperature would be for the most part in the 50+ Celsius and sometimes going into the 40s range, and the fans were not loud at all. In terms of capabilities, I think this machine should handle most if not all of my gaming with ease, based on the few games I’ve tried so far. >> Graphic Design If you do some 3D graphic design besides being a gamer, this machine seems it can fill your designer needs as well. I run Lumion 12 on this machine and although the benchmark test shows the RAM as being “minimal” (so more RAM would be better), the results are overall ok. For example, in Lumion, rendering one of the sample projects takes about 1 second per frame, taking about 40% of RAM with GPU at about 65% and CPU at about 3% use. I’d think a more performant GPU unit would render things faster and I’d assume more RAM would be critical for bigger projects with hundreds of objects. This is by no means scientific but illustrates what would happen if one used this for 3D graphic design. >> Benchmarks I decided to run 3DMark, PCMark10, and VRMark to give a more accurate view of the performance of this machine. The picture attached show some of the results. - 3DMark: CPU Profile, Time Spy Score, Port Royal Score and Time Spy Stress Test. All tests showed good results (marked as green). The only result I was not happy about was the Time Spy Score one, as it would give my system a below the average score (noticeable below average). Regardless, I think the system performs excellent when playing games. - VRMark: VRMark Orange Room. This test showed a “super” and “green” result, which I would interpret as great machine for VR. - PCMark 10: PCMark10 also showed a “green” result. >> Notes on the Hardware - Storage: I don’t think that the 2GB HDD is the best to store your games. I chose that drive, and not the 512GB one, to store the data from my games but I have mix feelings. I almost forgot the mechanical clicks of the mechanisms when the HDD is in action, it gives a sensation that something is not working right (need to get used to that.) It’d be better to get another 1GB or so SSD to store your games data, I noticed a few times when playing some intro videos in Forza and Halo, that the video would freeze for an instant a few times, also, in the resource manager the percentage of use would reach 100% at different times. So definitely, for a better experience, just get an SSD. - RAM: 16GB of RAM seem enough for gaming as far as I can tell, well as far as anyone out there on the Internet would say. However, I’d think that 32GB an ideal number if you want to run multiple processes at once (besides playing.) - Wi-Fi: Even though for reliable gaming you'd prefer a wired internet connection, the external Wi-Fi antenna works great, if you have a router with the latest Wi-Fi 6, then you can just use the wireless connection. This comes in handy, because sometimes I need to move my machine from on desk to another with no Ethernet ports and having a reliable high speed wireless connection is always desired. >> Other notes: - The mouse and keyboard combo that come with the machine don’t pay tribute to this awesome device. Please get a decent mouse with customizable buttons and also a decent lighted keyboard to match your new machine. I don’t understand why they wouldn’t include decent peripherals in the box. - It comes with Windows 11 Home Edition. So far, I haven’t had any issues with the software I have installed.

I decided to test this desktop since I bought an ASUS gaming laptop several years ago and absolutely loved it. Just out of the box, this machine looks nice and has some ‘cool’ features like a carry handle and a headset holder… not like gold inlay, but still nice. Looking inside the case, things look a bit cramped, but not overly so. The one thing that really caught my attention is the lack of fans. I would’ve assumed that for a ROG build, ASUS would’ve put some exhaust fans in the top of the case and possibly some in the front, but there’s only a small fan in the back and another on the heatsink for the CPU, and of course the 3 fans on the GPU, but do those even count? :) There is a large intake fan on the bottom of the case to pull air in for the power supply (and of course an exhaust fan in the back), but since the intake fan is on the bottom, you can't place the case on carpet. Since my office is carpeted, and I want the unit close to the floor, I had to make room on a low shelf. The fans are quiet on power-up, and although they do get a louder when the machine is under load, they're not annoying. The lighting for the case can be controlled via the ASUS app, and it can be synced with your devices, if that’s your cup of tea. After updating everything thru Windows and the ASUS app, I installed WoT which is what I play on a regular basis. The machine came set to Performance (again, using the app), so I left it there and fired up the game. I was easily averaging 160+fps at max graphics settings running at 3440x1440, but the temp on the CPU hovered around 80c jumping to the mid 80s occasionally, and the CPU hovered around 70c, but never spiked. Even after playing for 2-3 hrs, the CPU/GPU temps remained at those levels. Although I never had any issues, I’d much rather see the temps at least 10-15c lower. I will say that although the fans are minimal, they do manage to move a quite a bit of air; I keep my office(~190sqft) at 72F, and within about an hour of beginning play, the temps around my chair were around 77-78… not a true scientific study, but I think it shows that the fans, albeit small, are moving quite a bit of air through the case... but again, there should be more fans and possibly even a larger air CPU cooler. I’ll probably add some additional fans and maybe replace the CPU cooler myself, but of course doing that will void the warranty, so for now, unless heat becomes a problem, the machine will remain as is. Overall, I really like the machine so far, although I believe ASUS should’ve included more cooling fans and upgraded the CPU cooler, especially for one of their top mid-tower gaming machines. It could be that they had to make build decisions based on supply issues. Regardless, I'd still recommend the machine simply because in today's market I think it's a decent price for the components you get, and the machine does very well with what it has, at least for me.

It is hard to beat the price for what you get on this PC. My model is below: ROG Strix GT15 G15CF 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-12700KF 3.61 GHz up to 5.0 16 GB DDR4 3200 RAM GeForce RTX3080 PC boots up completely in 40 sec and only takes 10 sec to shutdown. Updates are fast and don't seem to cause any slowdown issues. I have another Asus computer where the updates just about freeze the PC until they are complete. The first thing that caught my attention when I turned it on was how the fans are loud. They are not annoying to me but indeed the sound from the fans get louder while playing games. It is not vacuum cleaner loud but you can't ignore them. I have read other reviews that say the PC will get too hot and cut off. Maybe they have fixed it in this model. I haven't played any games all day yet but so far it hasn't shutdown due to heat. Doesn't make any noise when not playing games. This is an upgrade from my previous PC which couldn't handle any of the major games. While I could play them it was just unbearable with the lag. I can now enjoy playing anything with this PC. Video is smooth and looks great. No skipping, tearing, flickering or freezing. Aiming and control is easier. I even had a few games where I was goat, which doesn't happen often. Setting up Windows 11 didn't take long and was up in a few. Doesn't come with much bloatware from ASUS. It has MyAsus and Armoury Crate. MyAsus is great for registering and keeping it up to date. It gives easy links to system info and a user guide. Links to Asus promotions and news. A system diagnosis with links to support. Asus One for connection to other Asus devices like a monitor or router but I don't have any. Armoury Crate looks cool which helps you monitor your PC. Right now the temperature is 40 C. It gives quick links to your games CPU, GPU, Memory, Fan Speed, Scenario Profiles and your Asus profile. Aura Sync lets you control the RGB colors on your PC even with your backgrounds but I haven't been able to find Aura Wallpaper yet. GlideX is another program they point you to use. It will allow you to use your tablet as another monitor or cast you tablet to the PC. I ran a performance test by PassMark and it says my PC is in the 97% percentile so that says a lot. I use iCue software from Corsair to control the RGB on several products and it recognizes the GPU so it will match colors with my Corsair products. The look of the case is just awesome. It has a handle on top and it is very useful for moving it around. It has a drop down bar on the top corner to hang your headset. It has a RGB strip on the front and RGB strip on the inside. Only complaint is I need two USB's on top and Asus could have made the logo on the front of the PC RGB. Will enjoy using this PC with all the latest tech for years to come.

Super stoked to receive the ASUS ROG GT15CF-I7 Gaming Desktop via the Tech Insider Program! Being able to experience the RTX 3080 is something to behold! I'll preface this by saying, I am not an FPS type of gamer, I enjoy games where I can escape into a story or beautiful scenery! I also don't do benchmarking as what I look for in a PC is everyday experience. For me the things that stuck out to me were as follows: Size - I expected this hulking oversized piece of machinery, but was pleasantly surprised by how compact it is. I have it sitting on my 47" wide desk with my 27" HP Omen 2K monitor (with stock stand) and a 20" Bose Soundbar and I have plenty of space! Also the space inside of the case is well utilized and give room for upgrades in the future. Ports - This thing has an (to me) insane amount of ports, as some one who mostly games via console or gaming laptops, this is liberating! I don't feel the need to have to pick or choose what I want hooked up. Capability - The RTX 3080 is a beast to me, everything I threw at it, it breezed through. CyberPunk 2077 on High everything, pulled a consistent 80 FPS over hours of gameplay. Forza Horizon 5 and Dirt 5 looked beautiful and GTA V with a few visual enhancement mods performed well above my expectations. Downsides - The only things I can say are drawbacks to this system would be the RAM and Storage. I feel if you don't want to hamstring the 3080, 32GB of RAM is a must (there does seem to be 4 RAM slots so I'm assuming you can go to 64GB if wanted) and the 512GB SSD is disappointing as games are getting larger and the SSD will fill up quick. Yeah there is a 2TB 3.5" SATA HDD, but load times will be slower. Things of note - It does come with a Wi-Fi 6 fin if your router and ISP support it, and a wired keyboard/mouse combo, but I wouldn't advise using them. It doesn't come with too much bloat, does have ASUS Armoury Crate software to get updates and manage different aspects of the components. My favorite part is being able to turn off all the RGBs! Overall, this ASUS ROG GT15CF has been a dream to use, and once I upgrade the RAM, SSD and dump the SATA, it'll be a machine I can see it lasting me for a good few years.

Need to retire my older computer so I wanted to get the latest components but also not have to piece everything together separately especially with how prices have been. I was able to get my hands on the Asus GT15CF-I73080VR. In the Box Asus GT15CF-I73080VR Keyboard and Mouse Asus really did a great job with putting this combination together. Intel has kinda fallen behind the competition but I think Asus did a great job with pairing this i7 processor up with the GTX3080. It's been pretty solid so far. A lot of people tend to say that these computers could use better cooling but I really didn't experience any problems playing Counter Strike, Battlefield 2042 or Cyberpunk 2077. They all ran pretty smooth even when setting the games to go max FPS. Each of the games ran smoothly, no lag or latency except from my internet. I didn't have a thermometer on me but I didn't seem to have any issues with over heating. I assume if I was gaming for longer hours there could be issues with the small fans but I really didn't encounter any issues. I would recommend this for gamers looking for a good combination of processor and GPU.
