Great for 4k 120hz games and VR. Bad PC case.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this pre-built for the 3080 to get smoother VR gameplay for Sim racing. I can turn up alot of settings and still get very good VR experience. Sim racing at 4k 120hz with all the settings on EPIC or ULTRA look stunning. Pc is great and I absolutely would recommend it. HOWEVER the front plate to the PC case is a horrendous design. The front plate is stopping the PC from breathing and brings the gaming temps up to 85-100 Celsius. I added more Noctua fans and that didn't help. Trying to get a 240mm AIO up top is nearly impossible. Get the PC for the 3080 and the i7 12700k. DEFINITELY buy a new PC case to avoid any performance throttling or damage. I bought me a Corsair PC case and AIO in store to remediate the high Temps. Added some 32 RGB RAM. Added another 2tb NVME. It was my first time doing a PC swap. Daunting at first but took lots of pics along the way. Just be slow, gentle, and patient. If you can work on a car you can change a PC case. Just don't do it on carpet and maybe wear some nylon gloves to avoid static electricity frying your PC.

Work and play
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a gamer, I was seeking a PC that could handle both work and play. (Most importantly, club penguin.) This desktop did not disappoint! If you're a serious gamer seeking top-tier performance (although a bit loud on startup), this desktop is a worthwhile investment.

Runs hot. Be prepared to add fans or liquid cooler
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this PC on sale for the i7 and 3080 even after reading the reviews about heat. Adding additional cooling is easy, but the thin case limits the options for fans in certain positions. 120mm fit fine in the top front and the front. Upgrading the rear fan and pc cooler require an 80mm and the included fans very loud. And when I say loud, I mean I can hear the fans over my headset at full volume. Just wanted to let any potential buyers know that if you game, expect to spend some money on upgrades, or you’ll probably wind up flying the thing. Before I added fans it was running out over 90 degrees Celsius. While i was in there I replaced the 16 GB of RAM with 64 GB of Corsair vengeance ram. Its a beast now!!

It’s okay
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is pretty good my biggest issues are airflow, cpu cooling, and customization don’t get me wrong I got to add some rgb ram sticks but I feel like there needs to be more room to customize. That being said overall not a complete waste

Worth It
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unfortunately it seems my desktop was removed previously. It wasn’t mentioned as open box but I had several deep scratches on the case and discoloration on the front which I provided in photos below. The protection on the glass was also partially pulled down. I tried contacting the store I bought it from but with Black Friday weekend going on I haven’t heard anything back. I’ve been in the market for the past three months on getting into a desktop. Having been a laptop gamer and a ASUS aficionado for the last seven years I was excited to finally get a home base pc. This one hits all the marks. 3080 10GB TUF - ✅ i7-12700KF - ✅ These two paired together make gaming fantastically fun. Easily run all titles out on ultra with no issues, the 3080 TUF is a Strix in disguise and overall the best value on these cards imo. 16GB isn’t horrible but easily able to add new RAM for your needs. Access is a breeze. The 2TB HDD is nice to have but I wish the SSD was a little bit bigger, 512 is decent but understandable at this price point. Previous reviews mention the fan and space being a issue. I’ve played several games to try and push it to the limit and while the fans did increase in sound they were in no way beyond what’s normally expected. Cooling seemed fine during my play throughs but for long gaming sessions this might be proved wrong, the fan situation is pretty inadequate and you may see higher temps associated with it. The case is tight inside and I’d be hard pressed in trying to add anything else, upgrading can be a issue for the future. Especially with 40 series cards. Build quality is good, I’m not familiar with ASUS desktops (only their laptops) but this one is put together nicely. It does seem every desktop could have different internals so definitely check it out as mine came with a 800W power supply instead of the 750W as described. I had several BSOD appear within the first three hours of start up. After messing with bios and safe mode I thankfully was able to get it working. Not sure if it was a windows issue or a internal issue but hasn’t came back so far.

Awesome Build
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this PC, it runs hot until you update and setup your bios. Once you’re through that whole process, it’s a build you wouldn’t regret buying.

Q: QuestionIs the handle on top of the case removable or permanently attached? I am planning to mount it under the desk and the handle would get on the way and prevent it. Is it possible to remove it without breaking/modifying the case?
Asked by Gorby.
- A:Answer The handle is permanently attached to the frame of the case. Here is something that might be helpful in “case” dimension are 16.6 x 7.3 x 19.6 inches [case] series model is ROG Strix G15CE best of luck,

Q: Questionwhat’s the Ram speed for this pc if I was to go buy more ddr4 card like what the MHz
Asked by Adib.
- A:Answer Added 3600 MHz memory. Configured the BIOS, works great.
Answered by vrs99
Q: QuestionIf I get extra 3200 mhz ddr4 ram, is it just plug and play since the ram it comes with is 3200mhz? Or do I need to do things in the bios?
Asked by ACrazySquirrel.
- A:Answer You're going to want to run XMP profiles for the ram in the BIOS. XMP profiles should be built into the ram sticks and enabling them is fairly straight forward in the BIOS.

Q: QuestionWhat's the equivalent make/model number of the motherboard in this box? I'm looking for some reference documentation.
Asked by PGB099.
- A:Answer Doesn’t specify anywhere what it actually is, but seems similar to a Asus TUF B660M Plus. Most likely a integrated motherboard paired with the TUF 3080.

Q: QuestionCan you add another SSD & additional HDDs?
Asked by Rogerw99.
- A:Answer You can swap out the internal SSD, make certain you mirror it as this contains your back up of windows. Yes you can replace the internal HDD for a SATA SSD, I did that as well. However there really isn’t much room for a second one unless you make or buy a stackable holder for the SSD drives, there are no slide out or mountable racks in the case.

Q: QuestionIs the psu only 500w? How does it run an rtx 3080 that requires 750w?

- A:Answer Indont know but it runs just fine

Q: QuestionWhere can I buy just the power cord
Asked by Labouscie.
- A:Answer It’s a standard iec power cable if you search for that.
Answered by WilliamG
Q: QuestionI love it, but the overheating.. and noise of the fans is insane. Can I use the limited manufacturer's warranty to get some kind of cooling upgrade? I love this pc but i need something done about the cooling issue. Even if i have to pay a little bit extra
Asked by ACrazySquirrel.
- A:Answer You should be able to put new fans and a new cpu cooler on yourself. It’s got a wide range of customization capabilities.
