Decent laptop, but had multiple issues. Fresh out of the box, the internal SSD port did not work. 8 months later and I wish that was the only issue. Screen occasionally fails and the only way to remedy is with a complete restart. I am disappointed in the quality given the price I paid.

Genuinely, this machine has been the most expensive paperweight i've ever owned. Literally a 5yo asus laptop ran the sims 4 better than this hunk of junk. It says its 16gb ram but its being SUCKED UP by all the bloatware. I have not been able to play any games requiring more than 2gbs of ram. I reformatted it twice. I have cried, i have screamed, i have bought no end of things that the internet says will help, now im getting a ram stick for this thing. I tell you here and now, if i go through the money and the time to add this ram stick and it doesnt make this thing usable I will be getting a replacement. This is insane.

this is a terrible laptop, I believe the CPU is terrible because I am experiencing micro lags no matter what I do, during games, during browsing, even with start bar. Do not buy this product I am warning you. There is a big problem. I couldn't return it because I am in Navy A school and I did everything to prevent this micro lags such as clean windows install, software updates, I added 32G extra ram, added 2 tb nvme and still it is driving me crazy. I should ve gone for other brand of CPU.

It offers smooth gameplay and powerful rendering capabilities in nearly any modern game or demanding software. Add the 16" vibrant screen and 165hz refresh rate for a fantastic combination. It has very wide viewing angles making it suitable for work or play. Motion blur is almost non-existent with this panel and the thin bezels make for a pleasant experience while viewing for hours. Running games from Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Armored Core IV, Ashes of the Singularity, Starfield, and Genshin Impact have all run at high or ultra settings with a high FPS. The inclusion of a Windows Hello compatible webcam is a huge plus and makes for easy facial recognition access to your machine. The cooling system and design of the laptop make for keeping temps cool and within acceptable ranges. The highest recorded CPU temp was 85 degrees during a Unigine benchmark test. Under full load, the trackpad and most of the keyboard stays cool to the touch with the only exception being the center, top area of the keyboard and area surrounding the power button. My only gripe with this system is with the method of heat exhaustion, the chiseled design leaves the rear grill showering your panel with heat. Will this have negative effects over time? I'm afraid only time will tell. ISSUES/QUIRKS The Asus bundled software is typically fine. With this machine, not so much. I never could get the RGB lighting to do much at all. It's overly complex for what it needs to do and had me losing interest very quickly. The presets work normally but they are stale and non-appealing. Asus bundles 3 pieces of software with this machine, 1 for warranty and support, another for RGB lighting and a third for managing profiles on the machine. This feels unnecessary and several other vendors reduce this to 2 or less. Upon first boot, this wasn't very stable. After poking around and watching it fail I realized the drivers were the issue. Starting it from scratch and installing known drivers then letting Windows update handle any updates that were left brought it back. Overall, the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G16 is a powerful contender in the gaming bracket. Suitable for both gamers and creative individuals looking for a portable option. The G16 offers a striking yet polished appearance with raw computational power ready to be set free. This is worth 4-stars.
