I am the first to admit that I am likely the least hung up on deep tech jargon when it comes to my involvement in the gaming world...I enjoy gaming but I am more about the experience than I am about every single spec detail when it comes to each machine I use so my review will be more about my actual experiences versus trying to break down every aspect of the specs. I have a few different gaming laptops including ASUS but I'll admit that my previous ASUS machines likely fall at the bottom of my fave list for the ones I own. I was excited to give the ROG Zephyrus G16 a try but admit that I went in assuming it would only be adequate. I was pleasantly surprised by how impressed I have been so far. This is smallest form-factor gaming laptop that I own but that definitely is a positive. This is lighter and more portable than my others which will make taking it on my trips this summer so much better. The build quality is excellent which for the most part has been my experience with other ASUS gaming laptops. Setup was simple and extremely familiar. Of course as with virtually any Windows machine you do have to go through the initial Windows updates which is always the most tedious part for me, but everything completed without a hitch. Although I would have preferred 240Hz refresh I found the 165Hz on this machine to be more than adequate. The types of games I put to the test which are maybe moderately intensive all ran with no optimization issues. Admittedly, this may be less accurate with true intensive games at max but for the most part I feel confident most users would be content.This was definitely better than my experience with any other ASUS gaming laptop I have tried so far and has honestly put this machine at the top of my preferred list out of the ones I currently own and use. I do wish it had come with at least 1TB SSD and 32GB RAM but that's just a preference thing versus a real issue. Overall, the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G16 is an excellent option for anyone wanting a smaller form-factor without sacrificing quality and gaming experience.

This is a great running machine. The 4070 handles almost any game at 1440p with no effort. Screen is bright and vibrant, excellent under office lights or at a cafe. Strong color range. Runs warm, so definitely have it on a table or lap desk, but it's not "fry an egg" hot. The design and build quality is a typical mid-range laptop build. It's not eye-catching with RGB, but there is RGB in the keys and the lid for those who like that sort of thing. Really, it's a laptop with solid specs, good performance, and will be a great system for everyday work as well as grinding in World of Warcraft or Fortnite. Really it's only limitation is the small amount of SSD space. The NVME drive is only 512GB which is only a dozen AAA games or so. Upgrading that to a 1TB or 2TB drive minimum is a must in 2024. Heck, with some of the new games coming out hitting the 130-192GB after all the optional downloadable content and expansions, that 512GB won't last long at all. For a student or a lover of smaller or independent games, it will be just fine.

This is a really good gaming laptop. I use this gaming laptop mainly to play war games while my son uses it mainly to play sport games and the other laptop that we used to use to game online is roughly three years old, and is still a good laptop, this ASUS is a step WAY up. The first thing that I noticed is how lightweight this laptop is, it is a significant difference between the old laptop, and again, that one is three years old and I’m certain that technology has advanced in those three years, the weight is very significant. I also really like the graphics, they are very, very clear. This laptop makes the gameplay that much more enjoyable. I was able to connect to our home wireless system in a matter of minutes. The lag of the older laptop was starting to show, but not this ASUS ROG Zephyrus. We have not noticed any lag whatsoever w/ this laptop. I also like the display and how easy it is to change it to what is best to each individual person. The colors are very vibrant and realistic. We both use different headsets and both connected to the ASUS almost immediately. This is a very well made and enjoyable laptop to use strictly for gaming purposes and I highly recommend it.

New to gaming on pc/laptops. I will say It's been epic so far!! If i could give it a 4.5 stars i would! Only because idk if it's just the one I got, but it's frozen one time on me, as well as crashed on me! I can't seem to find any info online either about this model! It comes up as a 2023 model, but it shows 2024 on the box! As well as best buy as the resolution marked as 1080p when it's actually set to 1920×1200 which is better than 1080p. (Not complaining on that part) i give it 5 stars though because it legit can run any game on high/ultra with no issues!

this laptop is one of the best i ever used But the battery is really really bad playing arena breakout infinite on max graphics got me 20 minutes (full charged) mid graphics got me 30 minutes. But i can confirm it runs better whilr charging so its not a big deal. But i cant take it out anywhere without the charger. Also this computer doesnt do a good job on handling itself so the armoury app (comes with the laptop) has to be handled correctly. Theres 3 types of fan modes, Silent, Performance and turbo best for gaming is performance silent is when playing games like roblox or just watching youtube. Turbo is really never needed. you should know how to use a laptop before buying this or you will be lost.

I got this for $1000. Playing Minecraft with my kid, and looking to play Xbox game pass and oblivion. I keep it plugged in and the performance is solid. Fan is loud but it's what I paid for. Battery is meh. Plan to add 16gh more of ram just cuz. Screen is solid and call me satisfied with these few areas.

Is a good computer. It is just what i was expecting and will fix my needs

Overall a great laptop (i7-13620H + rtx 4070), it can run games with demanding graphics from 2017-2025/present at high-ultra performance with its native resolution 1200p but anything higher than its native resolution would result to fps drops, plus its memory and storage is upgradable

I'll never be buying another Asus product. My gaming laptop cost $1400 on sale. It was a decent gaming experience for a laptop but I'm very upset that my keyboard died after 14 months of very light use. In fact I didn't even play much after the first 4 months. Of course the warranty expired at 1 year so now I'm stuck with the bill. I had seen similar complaints but thought those must be rare occurrences. I refused to pay an additional $200 to extend the warranty for a year at the time I purchased it. Now I can pay best buy or Asus to repair it for at least that much. No laptop should have issues that soon from light use. My HP laptops have each lasted 8+ years. Do yourself a favor and look for another brand.
