After years of dealing with inconsistent speeds and latency due to a bad router, this router has been an absolute pleasure. The app is great, and the setup process is very straightforward, with tons of QoS settings that just about anybody could need. On top of that, the performance is amazing. There's a reason people rave about this router, and if you're in the market for a router, look no further than this one.

A month ago I purchased the ASUS RT-BE86U BE6800 Dual-Band Wi-Fi 7 Router from Best Buy, and it has completely transformed my home network. The setup was a breeze — ASUS’s interface is clean and intuitive, and I had everything running in less than 10 minutes.
The performance is absolutely outstanding. With Wi-Fi 7 support, I’m seeing faster speeds, lower latency, and rock-solid connections across multiple devices. Even with several 4K streams, gaming consoles, and smart home gadgets connected, everything runs flawlessly with zero lag or buffering. The coverage easily reaches every corner of my home, including the backyard, which my older router struggled with.
I also love the design — it looks premium and modern, not bulky or intrusive. The ASUS app is another huge plus; it makes monitoring and managing my network incredibly simple, with options for parental controls, guest networks, and real-time traffic stats.
Overall, this router is a powerhouse. If you’re ready to future-proof your setup and experience top-tier Wi-Fi performance, the ASUS RT-BE86U BE6800 is a fantastic choice. Best Buy made the purchase and pickup process smooth and easy too. Highly recommended!

My 10 year old NetGear Nighthawk had served me well, but it was getting ratty with frequent WiFi drops requiring a reboot. After some research I happened on the Asus and I am very pleased with the results. The phone-based setup is a pleasure. The range is good and it's very snappy.

Overal very satisfied. Easy setup by loading saved configuration from previous router. Doesn't run very hot. Excellent coverage for all bands. Connecting to mesh router is quick and straightforward.
I had one issue where my S24 Ultra would not connect on wifi 7 for the 5Ghz band. Ended up finding the RSSI timout enabled. Disabled and everything worked fine. Not sure if this didn't transfer from previous router because it didn't exist but all is well now. Wish it would on sale.

I set a pair of these up in a mesh under the ASUS AiMesh facility. They are working well. NOTE: If you want to use wired backhaul, you either need to use a direct wire connection between the them (i.e., not connecting the wired backhaul into your network switch(es), or isolate the wired connection using a VLAN on a VLAN capable switch(es).

Just doing this to see( wink wink) if I win a gift card, but we all know i wont. Anyways I bought like 3 different routers before this one and all of them failed in comparison to this on. It does wireless bridging, which is what i was looking for, but it can also be set up as a repeater aswell. For the money its prettey good, seeing as the next choice was $700 for what I need. Id say I got a deal when I went with this one because it does everything I need it todo and then some. Only downside is that i had to order it as they didnt have one in store and i didnt want to drive an hour to get it, but that being said, shipping was fast and arrived on time and in a timely manner......so I'd say I'm pretty happy about it overall and it hasn't faild me yet

I have Allo Fiber 2.3GB/sec speed and replaced the ISP router with this one. Not only is the range better, but in increased by WiFi Speeds by 200 in my other bedrooms. I also like the fact that you can use it a MESH system. Its easy to setup and also offers great security features!

After having the router for a few months her is what I found. Setup was a little confusing for me and inwould consider my knowledge level as intermediate. I also learned there are issues with setting up a guest wifi. With my congregation (2 Asus AiMesh nodes and an unmanaged switch) and a backup wan connection, i would experience random drops and would have to restart the router. Since disabling the guest connection, I no longer have an issue. Since doing this my network has been very stable. The AiMesh makes it extremely easy to add additional AiMesh compatible nodes.

Bought two of these for whole home coverage to add to my existing aimesh router. The Asus app made this a seamless install and now my house has great wi-fi coverage

Replaced my existing router with a wifi 7 model. When it works it’s excellent but there is a bug with the Broadcom SOC that is used and your internet will die randomly for a few minutes at a time. It’s a pretty well documented bug that they haven’t fixed. Avoid.
