Very good performance. Capable of gaming with high FPS in most games. Performs well in productivity applications such as Adobe, DAWs, etc. The computer does feel like it is breaking, as the corner of my screen came separated from the plastics. One of my USB C ports went bad within like 6 months of purchasing however. The computer also does get quite hot when gaming, and the battery life is not very good. I use it for work and gaming on the road. It has been mainly reliable, has blue screened on me a few times. But it serves my purposes and has the performance to serve all of my needs, but it takes some compromises.

Laptop works good. It handles games great! It processes quickly. The battery life is ok, pretty typical for a laptop using a good amount of power.

Such a great laptop with the deal. The specs, build, and hardware is great, design is amazing. The only complaint I have is screen could be a little bit brighter. I mostly use this laptop for gaming. Smoothly play PUBG, COD, Sniper ghost contract Worriers 1 and 2 also GTA5. Definitely recommend this laptop. The battery does not last 4 hours (as some forms mention its last around 6-9 hours) NOPE!!! even though the GPU is off. I don't expect the battery of a gaming laptop last that long.

This Asus TUF gaming laptop is relatively discrete and minimalist mainly in relation to the design and color, however inside lies a combination of powerful components that solve most common tasks very well and performs excellently in the gaming section. It is important to clarify that this laptop because its focus is on gaming sacrifices some things such as noise levels, it does not mean that the laptop is very noisy, but when using the turbo profile, which is the profile that will allow you to get more out of the CPU, the fans go at maximum speed causing a little high noise, during regular use or with simple processes or office apps switching to the Silent profile the fans do not make noise and temperatures are below 52°, I could notice that even having the fans working at maximum and the processor with temperatures between 84° and 90° when lifting the laptop does not accumulate or perceive heat, it really dissipates heat, the fans are powerful. Regarding performance, I noticed that when the CPU was subjected to a benchmark reached temperatures exceeding 90 ° 'but at no time the operating system shut down or showed errors, however during gaming the temperature remain below 85 ° at high quality settings (1080p 144hz 144fps), it will depend on the game of course and what profile is being used, this is changed from the Aus app which by the way gives you the option to customize the laptop depending on the use that will be given, in my opinion it is advisable to configure and modify the parameters to get the best results. I believe that the combination of an intel processor and a Nvidia graphics card can help students, teachers, professionals, gamers, content creators etc., I think the screen with its 144hz allows you to play video games, edit image and video smoothly, the touchpad with its large size allows greater freedom of movement and precision, the CPU responds very efficiently to most tasks and with 16gb of ram DDR5, which by the way is the new standard, can handle many games in high quality,I think adding peripherals like a monitor or keyboard and mouse can increase the uses that can be given to this gaming laptop and get the best out of it. I can conclude that right now buying a gaming laptop with a latest generation i7 processor, 16 gb DDR5, Nvidia RTX 3070 in addition to the advantage that gives mobility, is economically one of the most viable options compared to build a pc right now, in addition to having the manufacturer's drivers and operating system preinstalled, the warranty seems to me that plays an important role. If you are a gamer and want constant performance but you don’t require 4k rendering or ultra graphics in AAA games this laptop is a great option and just as a tip, download the Nvidia software for the graphics card that allows you to make it perform at its best with each video game, on the other hand if you create content 1080p resolution with 144hz refresh rate seems to me enough, most of the current content is consumed in 1080p so I can definitely recommend this Asus TUF gaming laptop.

I am impressed with the laptop's overall performance and specifications. The 15.6-inch display size is perfect for my needs, striking a balance between portability and screen real estate. The Full HD resolution provides crisp and clear visuals, making it a pleasure to watch movies, work on projects, and browse the internet. The processing power of the laptop has been exceptional. It handles multitasking with ease, allowing me to run several applications simultaneously without any noticeable slowdowns. The Intel (or AMD) processor combined with sufficient RAM delivers a smooth and responsive user experience. The build quality of the laptop is sturdy, and it feels well-built and durable. The keyboard offers a comfortable typing experience, and the touchpad is responsive and accurate. The inclusion of USB ports, HDMI, and other essential connectors makes it convenient to connect peripherals and external devices. The laptop's battery life has met my expectations. I can confidently use it for several hours without having to worry about frequent recharging, which is essential for my mobile work routine. I appreciate the inclusion of useful features such as a webcam, which has proven handy for video conferencing and virtual meetings. The audio quality from the built-in speakers is decent, although using external speakers or headphones enhances the audio experience. The laptop's storage capacity is more than sufficient for my needs, and the inclusion of a fast SSD (Solid State Drive) significantly improves boot times and application loading.

Works nicely, no issues running AAA game titles ULTRA, EPIC, ULTIMATE settings no problem, no lag,. Too hot to actually use on lap but no issue on suface. Storage capacity a little on the smaller side for my liking, being that 1 game can use 50Gb to 100Gb. Purchased pci-e ssd to expand storage. Only took about 5 mins to open and upgrade. Mousepad kinda lags if you use it for gaming. Seems when youre using keyboard it causes a delay in touchpad reaction time. Tried drivers, tried settings, no luck. No issue since majority of users will ultimatley end up using a add in mouse for gaming anyway. Touchpad reacts just fine for using rig only seems to have some type of hiccup while gaming with touchpad.

This is a powerful little laptop and handles a lot of games very well. The screen sucks, but I plug it into a 4k ultrawide and game at a desk so it doesn’t bother me. It does get pretty warm, so I keep it on a cooling pad. To be expected with so much power in such a small package.

Solid machine for the price. I game on it regularly (Civ 6, Rocket League) when I'm out on the road, and use it for work pretty much daily (I am a hardware/software technician) The machine is VERY fast, ESPECIALLY when you drop a second m.2 into it and some upgraded RAM (Recommend 32gb 5200mhz specifically). The 12th gen processor is such good bang for your buck, you literally cannot get better without spending $500+ or more. (Admittedly, I would wait for a 13th gen release of this model if you can, only exception being if this machine goes on a big sale) Keyboard is of solid quality, probably my most favorite laptop keyboard I've worked on to date. Build quality is superb as well, I feel like I could drop this thing and it would be fine (would never recommend it, but if you've got kids than you'll understand why I make this observation lol) The only real negatives that I've found is that it does get a bit toasty during gaming sessions, so I would definitely recommend snagging a cooling pad for it if thats going to be your use case. I'm also not the biggest fan of the display in terms of overall quality - you can tell that that is where ASUS cut the corner on components. I would easily give this machine 5 stars if it had a better, more suitable display, but for $1300 you really aren't going to get much better without sacrificing more. Overall, would definitely recommend.

This is an awesome mid range gaming laptop at this price point. This is my first gaming laptop as I have always been a console gamer and I couldn’t be happier with this laptop. It has handled everything I played on it amazingly so far. The RTX 3070 along with the DDR5 memory work great together. I upgraded it from the stock 16GB to 32GB and it doesn’t miss a beat. The only thing that I would like to have seen changed with this set up is that it comes with PCIe 3 slots instead of PCIe 4. I understand that it may have been a way to keep this laptop at a certain price point but with 4 basically being the new standard now I don’t quite understand why Asus did this when they also went with the new DDR5 ram for this setup as well. With that being said it’s definitely not a deal breaker as it is still an amazing laptop and I added a Samsung 970 evo plus for more storage so it handles everything I need from it exceptionally well.

Great laptop with great performance , using it for more than a year and a half mostly in dental filed for intra-oral scanner and its gives a very high FPS and then the 3d renedering for digital models and digital designs on various softwares and it gives a very amazing results and the most important things thats its fast . I recommend buying the tuf f15 gives good performance and it has compact design and at sametime reasnable price.

So far, really enjoying this laptop. Using it more for office programs and music production. Very fast. Light weight. Haven't gamed... yet. Looking forward to seeing how well the 3070 handles the graphics. Appreciate that upgrade potential in both ram and storage space. Does get a little warm on the lap but not unbearable. Will be able to judge this more when I try some gaming. Only challenge is the battery life could be better. I was fortunate to be able to buy it at Best Buy's great price of $999.99. Very pleased with this unit so far. Will update after some gaming.

1st gaming laptop. nice and pretty easy to use/connect. wish it had more usb ports but bought an adapter. dont know about the storage yet. would prefer touch screen but for the price pretty darn nice. seems to run basic steam games but havent tried any mega ones yet. gets warm but bought a laptop fan and it helps.

I haven’t had a gaming laptop in a while and wanted a portable gaming option for travel that can handle modern high demand games. This ASUS is perfect and for $1050 it’s a steal! I’m confident i can play any modern game out there with stable performance. So far Battlefront 2, Halo Wars 2, Jedi Fallen Order, Tomb Raider and all my other games play flawlessly. Sure a 4070 would be better but i dont think $700 better. The intel i7 12th gen compared to the 13th gen are almost identical so no real difference there. Cooling system works great keeps temp’s around 80-85 Celsius tops under heavy load. Yes the laptop gets hot because it’s a gaming laptop lol. Overall I’m extremely happy with my purchase. The keyboard is good but not very clicky if you like that. i always use a xbox controller, so i can’t say much. Screen quality is great too

Upgradable - Added 2TB Samsung 970 EVO and another 8gb DDR4 RAM. System runs great, a hot but that is expected with a laptop that has a powerfull GPU. Just use a cooling pad to keep the temps down. Very happy with this purchase.

Great laptop for the price (900). You do have to live with an meh screen and the fans sound a bit annoying at certain speeds. But that's a reasonable price to pay for the great performance at this price point and the slim design for a gaming laptop.

I recently purchased the ASUS TUF Dash F15 gaming laptop (Model: FX517Z), and I must say, it has exceeded my expectations in every way. The only minor downside is the storage, but that can be easily expanded. It's everything it's says it is. The rtx 3070 is great at running games like battlefield and genshin impact at max setting though it will run hot and loud. The screen isn't the best and has some light back light bleed but its okay since it is an ips display. Battery life is bad but you should already be expecting that if you decide to buy this laptop. Over all it's a capable PC though I do wish I came with an option to have windows 11 pro insetad of home.

Decent laptop to game on for the sale price I paid for, but runs hot easily despite only web browsing and not gaming. Not much storage memory, but it can be easily fixed by putting in another SSD card for more storage.

great laptop for gaming and some useful production value. it is a power hungry machine when gaming. make sure you allow it to breath!!!! this is my first dedicated gpu laptop and was surprised but also not surprised at the heat load this generates. with that being said you can turn this into a power sipping machine and have a very long battery life if ur using it for very basic need (ie web browsing, word, excel, etc etc) i get about 2 hrs on battery under full load give or take and 5 to 6 hrs under low power usage. my only issue is i wish it had a larger nvme drive. AAA games are huge files
