It starts up very fast, is super quiet, and runs everything I need it to. I’m impressed. The keys can be a little hard to see in some lighting, but I have a lamp overhead, so it really doesn’t bother me. The screen has good color, and is easy to read.

But since the price wasn't a big difference, I thought I should give it a go and had higher expectation on the performance. But I don't know why the performance score is lower than ryzen 5 vega 8. I'm tyring to resolve the issue with asus. If you want this one, rather better off buying hp with ryzen 5 and vega 8.

I touch type so one I get my fingers on the right keys to start, it isn't too big of a problem. The big problem is that the speakers are on the bottom of the computer!? Who ever designed that needs to be shot. I use my computer as my TV since I don't have cable. The volume of the sound changes as I move the computer around (as the speakers are covered and uncovered). One should not be expected to wear earbuds (which I can't) or headphones to hear the sound on a computer with speakers. Hooking up an external speaker defeats the purpose of having a laptop that should be easier to move around. It is bad enough that I need an external DVD drive but I purchased this knowing I would have to do that. If I had known about the speaker problem, I would not have purchased it.

Indeed, the laptop is a nice product. Do understand your disappointment with the keyboard and audio, and the inconvenience this may have caused you.
It is recommended to use the laptop in a well-illuminated light in order to improve the letter and keys color contrast.
The internal speakers are decent, being located on the bottom side will provide a better audio intensity. In order to improve or enhance listening pleasure or experience, we recommend using a Bluetooth headset if you move around while using the laptp.
