I have used this for close to a month, it is fast and works very well. I read reviews where people disliked the keyboard shading. I see no issue, I am older and wear glasses and I find the letters and such very clear and the key board is comfortable. I am so far very pleased with this purchase.

So at this time when I write this review I’ve had this Asus laptop for a month. It’s a great laptop that holds up very well on multi tasking. You can have ten tabs open or so with two programs open such as Microsoft word and Microsoft PowerPoint and this laptop wouldn’t skip a beat.This laptop will run Sims 4 with or without mods. For example I run four major mods, wicked whims, extreme violence, MC command and, basmental drugs. Along with this I have over a thousand files on custom content. The laptop holds up well to it but the only thing is the fan will start to blow super hard which is loud and it gets hot. This is true if it’s on your lap or desktop,through I’ve noticed it won’t get too hot a a desktop; just very warm. The game play is smooth there’s no issues with loading up anything.

I do agree with the others regarding the keyboard letter colors. They could have made them more visible. Its not that bad for me because I type well. However, the life of the battery is bad. I have to charge the laptop constantly. The battery is drained after a few hours of usage. I don't know if its an app that I downloaded or what. I think I would have also liked a bigger monitor but the price and the specs of the laptop is the reason I purchased it.

The laptop build quality is good. Setup went fine and Windows 10 is stable with no crashes. The touchpad is responsive and smooth performing. The screen on this particular model is not IPS so off axis view is not the best and the screen is not touch on this model. I knew these things when purchasing so consider them if you're looking at this particular model. I do believe there is a different model available with an IPS screen.

Speed is good. Memory is good. It doesn’t have a dvd so if you need one then this laptop is not for you. I purchased the MS office option with it so I have access to Excell, Word etc. I like the large screen. Overall I’m happy with it so far. I use a wireless mouse with it because in general I find it easier but the pad works fine also if you know how to right and left click with it

Very good laptop and great price. Lightweight and easy to use. The only issue is that the letters in the keyboard are not clearly visible under bad light.

To be honest I was worried when I read the reviews but honestly this computer isn't that bad. This is my first time using a laptop bigger than 13 inches so this was a new venture. It was easy to adjust and the keyboard is just fine. So far all programs run smoothly, this laptop is fine for its price and it's still pretty lightweight for its size.

Asus makes a very good laptop. The i7 core is fast and I like the solid state drive. Has plenty of memory for the things that I do. I would buy again.

Fantastic computer overall. Super fast, connectivity is a breeze, boots up in seconds. But who in the design department thought that a near invisible keyboard would be a good idea?? I'm not the greatest typist to begin with, but I struggle picking out the keys and my emails and docs are taking a lot longer than usual. Is there a keyboard replacement option available? I think if the lettering was darker the problem would be solved. 0 Stars for the keyboard 5 Stars for everything else

Good working machine. Keyboard layout is good. Thin & light. Nothing more to say. Power cable kind of weak. But should be OK. Will update about it later.

Works very well. I only gave 3 stars because the number keys are misplaced from what is common. The letters and numbers on the keys are transparent so is difficult to see them in darker areas. Is lightweight and keys are easy to push

I bought this laptop to replace the one I had forever. This one doesn't have quite as many bells and whistles, but I don't miss them. It's fast and easy to use. The screen is plenty large enough for me and the machine is thin and compact. It seems to have a good battery life. I can use it for several hours without worrying that it is going to go dead in the middle of whatever I am working on. I am very happy with this purchase.

I thought this would be hard to get used to because the laptop I was replacing was bigger. There really isn't much of a difference in screen size as this screen is practically edge to edge. Some had an issue with the print on the keys being hard to see and I can understand that would be an issue. I don't look at my keys when I type so it's not a problem for me. I haven't had it all that long but so far I've had no issues.

I am very happy and satisfied with my laptop because it is light and fast.

My first ASUS, I am often go by HP or Dell, buy I was very impressed by this laptop. I picked up this Asus vivobook on Black Friday, first the price was reasonable and when I get my hands on it, I really like it more, the design was impressive and I picked up the 12Gb and 256gb hard drive. It just build with speed. Fast and theme body design is so nice ,sleek, thin and chrome color looking. Battery last fairly long.

The lap top is very good looking, thin and light. BUT keyboard characters are very difficult to read or identify. If you need to see the letters for typing this will be a headache.

Picked it up for $500 and I would highly recommend. As other reviews have stated, the keyboard can be hard to see, but if you’re familiar with the keyboard it’s a nonissue. The performance is great for the money, I have no problems having any amount of programs open.

I liked the Asus VivoBook the moment I opened the package. It's beautiful in looks and have a nice hardware under the hood. The setup was easy and the SSD works really well. The color is very attractive.

I think the screen has a great resolution, and it works plenty fast. One thing I don't like is how fast the battery runs out.

My mother constantly would get cheaper style laptops for her web use needs, including facebook games, word searches, online games etc. She's elderly, but loves her little game time. Those cheap PCs just did not hold up, and would die out quickly. This system however, is lightweight and packs a giant punch! It's perfect for her and she loves it! I'd buy it again for my kids!
