good laptop for the kids to do their work while out of school

I was disappointed in the quality of this laptop and have decided to return it after a week of use. The 3 most frustrating things are: 1. trackpad lags every 15 seconds or so, forcing you to wait for the cursor to catch up and only fixed by using an external mouse. Changing sensitivity, reinstalling drivers did not solve the issue. 2. camera has constant flickering grey lines on video chats only fixed if you unplug the power cord. Googling the issue revealed it to be a common problem across ASUS laptops. I purchased this laptop on sale, but the sale price was not worth these shortcomings. 3. screen has very low-quality graphics and a surprising amount of things show up fuzzy (start menu, title bars of documents and save-as windows for example).

Wife loves this computer and fits her needs perfect.

It's ok, good price, excellent conditions, easy to buy it.

I was very impressed with the specifications for this computer. It seemed like such a great deal for the price. But, the negatives seem to outweigh the positives. The camera is mediocre. The speakers are under the computer so the sound is muted. I have it sitting on a table, not my lap. Also, even with the volume at 100% it only compares to about 50% volume from my old HP laptop. The keyboard is silver and the print on them is gray. Unless you have the keyboard at just the right angle, you can't even see the lettering. The computer feels cheap. Not sure how durable it is going to be in the long run. The other day the fan was so loud. Had to totally shut it down. It was not running nor did I have multiple things open. I am seriously considering returning the laptop. I am not very satisfied with it at this point in time.

So, the computer boots fast, super fast processor, and enough memory to deal with the large amount of data I work with daily easily. So why 3 stars? I work remotely for the most part now, and use a third-party application to remote in to my office 50 miles away. No problem, we have gig internet and connection speed is never an issue. The problem comes when I start using the dual monitor function of my remote application. I work with two monitors at my office out of necessity, and was able to do the samew with my older, slower laptop. I can do it for about 30 minutes with this laptop before it just abruptly shuts off. No error message or anything like that. It boots right back up, I restart the program and can chug along for a bit and then BOOM!, it shuts down again. Pretty disappointing.

Super light laptop. Easy use and it doesn't get hot as fast as chunkier laptops. However, the battery last like 4-5 hrs and as soon as I disconnected from the charger it starts using up battery like crazy. I only work on it for periods of 2 hrs. So it doesn't bother me as much

The only issue with this “open item” sale is that it didn’t state clearly that it had a charging cord missing before I made the purchase. I had to wait two days before I could obtain a correct cord to initiate the laptop.

I purchased four of these for employees to use when coronavirus broke out. What you get relative to the price is unbeatable. My only complaint is that the silver keys are not very easy to read.

This is the little engine that could. It's hard to say what I like best. I know it was a great value. It does everything I want it to and more. So seamless I forget what's carrying my work!

every other laptop with comparable parts is over 1000 dollars. I bought this for my wife because she’s a teacher and needed a quality laptop for working from home. She absolutely loves everything about it.

The only thing I don’t like is the anti-virus that is installed on the laptop. I cannot uninstall, I already have a paid virus protection and do not need another one.

If you are looking for a cheaper alternative to a Surface Laptop 2 or 3 this might be for you. Asus did a great job with this laptop and the build quality is pretty well done.

Very easy to use. Big screen. Quick deliver. But the integrated graphics is not able to support big games.

Great laptop. A little pricey. But provided the support for my son’s online schooling. As his other laptop took Geek Squad a total of five weeks to replace a CPU fan.
