I have used this product for about a month and it is performing as expected. It is not the top of the line or the bottom of the line product (somewhere in the middle) and fulfills all of my requirements and has some features that can be hard to find. I am very happy so far with my purchase.

good computer but it was hard to setup. It comes with many different software that's unneeded and a pain because the adds keep popping up, very annoying. windows 10 is not as good as windows 7. Windows 10 eliminated the direct transfer of data from the previous windows based computer.

the start up is very slow to open program . opening multiple sights does not seem to slow down overall speed. Don't like that there are no lights to show "caps on, numbers on etc Would have been nice to have a USB port on right side [same side as disk try]. .

I bought this computer for my dad whi is a senior Citizen. While he is computer savvy, I found it easy to assit him set up the computer remotely. It is a reliable and easy machine to use and I like the screen and the feeling of the keyboard. PS: My dad is very happy wiith his new machine.

Used to MACs so definitely a change but needed it for something else and not quite as user friendly. Especially the touch pad. Decent enough though.

I'm happy with the laptop for the price point but my husband says the key strokes are loud from across the room.

This was my granddaughters Christmas present. She loved setting up easy to use and had everything that you could want. CD burner adding machine keyboard and a DVD player. She thinks it’s the greatest

Several laptops were recommended to me by a reliable source. This make was one of them. It was suggested to go to the store to try the keyboards before making a choice. This one was not available but for the price seemed like the best deal. WRONG. When this came I was immediately disappointed with the keyboard. It's just not up to expectations. Not being backlit is also a downturn. Too late now.

I bought this laptop online and picked it up in the store I previously selected. It was ready even before the date it said at first. The laptop has had a great performance so far, I recommend it.

Purchased this after years of macbook because I wanted to switch to windows and have regretting it ever since. The very loud fan starts running as soon as you turn it on, even if you just have one website open or are running just one program. Can't run it on battery because it shuts off for no reason, according to Asus this is hardware problem which does not fall under the warranty (funny how that is always the case.) The lack of a lit keyboard and no caps lock light shows that this is mostly a product of cutting corners. streaming is freezing constantly, forget about chromescasting, Can't believe I've had it just over a year because it acts like it's 10 year old

Fast and efficient laptop for any who likes windows

Compared to the Dell it replaced, this laptop is a LOT faster. I'm disappointed in a few things though. The keyboard sounds like you're typing on a kid's toy - feels really cheap. It rattles while you type. The number lock and caps lock keys have no light to indicate they're on. The screen has a matte finish which is great for no reflections, but it makes the display less clear than a lower resolution display with a clear screen. The sound control buttons on the f keys require that you hold down the fn key to use them. The touchpad is overly sensitive no matter how you set it and results in the cursor jumping all over the place. The left and right "click" buttons on the touchpad are not separate buttons but are simply a spot to press on the touchpad and unless you are very careful, hitting one of these areas will also move the cursor. It's just a poorly designed touchpad. The battery is non-removable except by an ASUS technician. Looks like it involves removing the entire back of the laptop. The keyboard is not backlighted. The symbols on the keys for their seconday use , (&%#, etc. are unusually small. All the printing on the keys are in a thin type which isn't the best for visibility. I find it fast enough, but be aware that although the processor is an i5, it's one of the slower i5s. It has 3 USB ports, but only one is a 3. The others are 2. This review is based on having this laptop and using it for less than 24 hours. I'm not very impressed and suggest you try this in the store and compare it to a few other makes in the $500 price range.

I usually love Asus Laptops...ive owned them before and i was always satisfied with my purchase. ...until this one. The pro's are the volume on this was is better than the last one i owned and it has a built in cd/dvd player.... the cons are, it feels like cheap plastic, the screen resolution makes everything look dull and not crisp, its already had some issues of lagging and freezing during videos, color saturation is different due to the no glare screen so it makes things look not true to color.... Ive had this a week now and im disappointed.... id skip this model

Definitely would not recommend this product to anyone and tech support was no help at all, had to re image twice and so very slow. I do not do anything but browse, email, no gaming. HORRIBLE
