The speed of start up and logging in is pretty fast and appreciated. In my opinion there are two small weaknesses with this product: one being the silver keyboard can be difficult to see depending your view angle and two being the battery life seems to be average. I use mine primarily for home use so it’s not too big of a deal for me. However, the number keypad on the right is very appreciated and the small screen below the keypad is a really cool feature.

Slick & fast little laptop with big, fat responsive keys! The Screenpad 2.0 is neat 2nd screen, but 90% of stock apps are useless unless you use MS Office products. While it has 'sound by harman/kardon' there is virtually ZERO sound. Haven't tried pairing with bluetooth yet or tried gaming. Light, fast and nice selection of ports + loving the 1TB ssd drive. Major drawback is the battery. Asus recco's initial charge of 3 hours, but then a charge only lasts HALF that on Best Performance. I've gotten 2.5 hrs on the lowest performance setting. Definitely a keeper as long as Asus support perseveres through the warranty expiration.

This laptop is great for what I need it for (school). The additional screen is a bonus in being able to watch my lecture videos, while taking notes at the same time! The only con has been the battery lifespan (which, as long as you're someplace you can use it while plugged in, isn't a big deal breaker).

Excellent laptop for the money. Ease of use and the double keypad made it an excellent purchase. Multitasking while on meetings without computer lag. Camera and mic are nice.

Build quality could be better (edges on plastic frame are uneven) but overall price vs specs good deal! The touchpad screen is a nice touch! Very slim, lighweight and looks stylish.

Great laptop but the fan noise is obnoxious

This computer is extremely fast, especially considering the price. It turns on in a few seconds, and it looks nice. I am just super disappointed with the fan noise. It is borderline unbearable. It is cold in my home office, and there are no programs running on the computer and it is still super obnoxious.

Dear KelvinCaban,
Indeed, the laptop is extremely fast.
We do understand your concern about the fan noise. It is normal for the fan to spin at full-throttle and generates noise louder than normal while the laptop is under heavy load like gaming, especially during the initial WINDOWS setup and WINDOWS Update installation. Also, the fan noise will be louder while antivirus software or malware are running continuously in the background. Please make sure the system was not compromised by viruses or malware by doing a full system scan using an internet security software or application. When system resource utilization is high, this will generate more heat than normal and tends to trigger the fan to spin at full-throttle and noise will be louder than normal. It does decreases or normalizes once utilization goes down.

It worked fine...until it didn'.
Started crashing about 1 year after purchase. it would freeze, then reboot itself. only lost data over the last minute of use. Initially though it was a software glitch. but after a complete factory reset, and reinstall of software, it kept crashing. They took it back.
mouse pad/additional screen was a feature i didnt find useful.

I love everything about my new laptop, from the dedicated graphics card to the 16GB of RAM to the sound quality and the 1TB SSD. The machine is very fast, also sporting Wi-Fi 6 for super fast internet browsing! The laptop is fairly quiet as the fan does not make that much noice. The second screen also doubles as a track pad but I will be using a wireless mouse for convenience. I definitely recommend this machine and for the price I paid, it's more than worth it!!

Everything I wanted and more...The bottom screen took little to get used to, but once you figure it out, it's fine...Although I still like using a ball mouse...
