I was looking to replace a 35 year old office telephone with a new landline office phone. I required that the new telephone must have caller ID and a large display. The at&t DEDCT6.0 meets my requirements and so much more. Along with an outstanding wired base unit, the system comes with two additional handsets. The three system components all provide access to the built-in digital answering system. Each handset is also equipped with a speakerphone and its own individual directory database. Setup was quick and easy with the provided instruction manual. Customer adjustable settings are too numerous to mention here and the tonal quality is excellent!

Obviously home phones are going the way of the dinosaur but if you own a home or run a business you definitely still need one of these. Bought this because it was a simple, easy to use set. Great value in that you get three phones (the base plus two additional handsets). Handsets work well, good clarity, great range. The phone also has good features such as caller id, voicemail, speakerphone, etc. The base message center is easy to read and well lit. All-in-all, a good phone system for the price. The essential features are easy to use and easy to set up, right out of the box.

I always called mom and she would never answer the phone. My mom is visually impaired and has a hard time reading small caller IDs. This phone announces in loud voice the name of the caller. In addition it has a big screen that she can actually read! It also brings two extra phones. Before her phones were always lost or uncharged. This phone has a cord phone. Phone never moves so she always knows its location. In addition she has the cordless phones that gives her the ability to move around or sit somewhere comfortable. I love this set. Now my mom never misses a family members call :)

Good featured phone with everything I need

I bought this phone to replace one that required a new $40 battery for the remote unit, this ATT uses replacement batteries that cost only about $9. It works as an old fashioned land line phone, the base working when the power goes out, even though some of the information on this phone says it does not. This was one of the most important features for me. The range is very good and so far works well outside at the extremes of my front and back yards (about 75 ft each way from base unit in house). It has good basic features, I don't need anything too fancy. The sound quality of the message recorder could be a little better, but is best on the highest treble setting, with the lower pitch settings it is a little hard to discern the audio on messages. The earpiece on the landline base is very comfortable also, the Uniden model this replaced was very uncomfortable to use for any length of time and would make my ear go numb; this one is fine. Overall I am happy with this purchase.

    Corded base makes this work

Running a business with a wireless phone is sometimes challenging but with this corded base with speaker phone I can easily handle my phone calls with no loss or degradation due to wireless signals being interfered with. The two extra wireless phones also gives me the ability to extend my VOIP phone throughout the house in the bedroom and kitchen. The caller id announcing the caller is nice as I do not have to interrupt my work to check the phone unless I recognize the announced name/number.

Great sound quality. Lots of features. Built in answering machine that can be turned off if you like voicemail. The handset it corded, so kind of get the best of both worlds. One thing I will say that this phone has problems with (at least for a relative using it) that the old AT&T one did too is the "walkie talkie" feature. There IS a hands free version under options which seems to work better, but the handsets have a button on the right you press to talk. Only thing is, a lot of times the relative in question doesn't seem to get it to stay on for them, causing them to talk to another member in the house without being heard. This, of course, could simply be them using it wrong maybe.

Large dial keys and screen for easy viewing (I do not need my 2x magnification reading glasses). Has built-in voice mail capability that is easy to use. Speaker phone with mute button; excellent for conference calls. Perfect sound.

I've had the Vtech phone system for eight year. I never really liked it. The battery seemed to run down and frankly the ringer and call time announcement was irritating. My new AT&T system is perfect for my home/office. I really like that I can access the menu from any of the handsets or from the base phone. It is easy to work. My only problem with it is that there is a scratchiness to the sound on the handsets. Otherwise it is a good system.

This is my second time to purchase this product. The first one is in my weekend home and the second was for a home office. It's very easy to set up and operate. I have used the answering machine in the past and only issue is that the time and date resets anytime the power goes out, which occurs from time to time at the vacation home. The audible caller id is a nice feature as well.

The big buttons are nice for my parents but the cordless phones don't stay charged long and the main phones speaker isn't that loud to hear messages or answering the phone. If your hard of hearing this isn't the phone for you. If not, it's a good phone.

I'm very happy with the features on this phone. The sound quality is good; it's easy to deal with messages and missed calls; fits well in the hand. Different form my old phone, but I'm certain I will adjust to the differences quickly.

This AT&T home phone system has one corded base unit phone with a large easy-to-use keypad and two cordless phones. The base unit mounted nicely on our kitchen wall. We like the Caller ID Announce feature which helps us to decide which calls to answer. The two cordless phones also have fine audio clarity and work well from other rooms and floors in our house. The feature this phone system lacks is a call block feature, but we can use Verizon's Fios Digital Voicemail to block repeated, unwanted marketing call disturbances.

This system has all the functionality that I was looking for, and more. Because of all the different functions, it takes a while to become familiar with the full menu. It was very easy to set up and the sound is clear on the base and the satellites.

Bought this phone at Christmas time for my mother (82), who has always had bad luck with cordless phones. She's very happy with the sound quality and ease of use. I've also tried it and really liked it so I will be purchasing one for myself..
