Got this to use with my cell phones so I can keep the base station in a room that gets the best signal with the cell phones. I don't have a land line. That seems to work great. Bluetooth pairing is not a problem. Downloaded phone book from my iphone but not from my wife's phone. The handsets will ring when a call comes in for either phone. EXCEPT if someone is already on a call with one of the cell phones. In that case only the cell phone rings. You can't take or make the second call via the cordless setup. Even though the specs say that 2 cell phones can be connected at once, only one can be in use at once. Fortunately that situation doesn't occur frequently, but it is annoying. I would say that the technology has just not yet been perfected.
If you're calling a business that has a touch-tone menu, the phone will not transmit these button presses over the bluetooth link. You have to use the cell phone directly for these situations.
It may be more worthwhile to purchase a microcell that uses your internet connection to overcome household dead zones.
The handsets could benefit from a directional keypad. It has up and down arrows that are awkwardly placed making navigation of the phone book non-intuitive. Otherwise they work well.

Good deal for the money

Bluetooth paring with my Centro was very easy to do, though it could not download (cell) Phone stored address book entries, I didn't have any entries on the SIM address book so I could not test that. I like I can use a single phone to wander around the house with (a bit ADHD) so I don't have to juggle multiple handsets. A (minor) downer is the BRIGHT blue LED around the menu button. It is quite the nightlight. If you like DARK, take the handset out of the room when you sleep. ;-) It would be nice if that could be turned off. Ringer selection was a bit thin, but not a deal breaker. Also not fond of the red zero on the base even when the answering machine is turned off, but that also, not a huge deal. The range is great, I can go quite far outside the house with out much distortion or crackling, ~1/4 acre is the furthest I've taken it so far. The handset is light weight and comfortable, even to cradle between head and shoulder while typing and talking. I have some "user error" issues navigating the menus, but after having used another brand exlusively for the past 10+ years, I assume it's a learning curve issue and not a phone issue (error between chair and keyboard). I have voicemail with my service provider, so another "downer" (for me) paying for an answering system that I don't need simply to get all the features I want in a cordless phone, but that issue is industry-wide, not just this phone or AT&T. I haven't had to call AT&T customer service, so I really couldn't comment on their customer service.

Great Home Phone

Very good looking phone. Easy to use. Hooked up to the bluetooth on my cell phone easily and quickly. No issues :)
One minor thing (and it's petty), the charge light around the circle select button is very bright and the phone in the bedroom lights up the whole room. Doesn't keep me up but I know some people are sensitive sleepers. One option is to take it off the charger at night and the light will not be on.

I no longer use a landline, so I purchased the Panasonic KX-TG6582T DECT 6.0 PLUS bluetooth Link-to-Cell unit. I set up the system ( 2 hand sets), and it would not show caller id from my cell phone through the unit. I called their CS, and was told that the phone system does not support wireless caller ID. As I did more poking around online, I found this ATT model, which DID seem to support wireless CID. I returned the Panasonic and picked up this AT&T DECT 6.0 Expandable Cordless Phone System, set it up and sure enough, wireless Caller ID comes through the ATT unit just fine. In addition to the CID, the speaker phone on each handset works flawlessly, and it is much easier to navigate through the needed functions. I have the base downstairs with my wireless phone about 3ft. away from it, the second handset upstairs is in my bedroom and it sounds crystal clear with no interference or static. Downloading my contacts was a piece of cake. Apparently, you can't use the answering machine from this unit (which I don't mind so much), I have not tinkered around to see if I can do something about the wireless VM yet. The hand sets feel like they have more weight to them, the other brand felt rather cheap and flimsy.
This unit allows 2 bluetooth devices to sync to it, I only will be using one cell to use with this unit so I will be purchasing a head set to use as well.

I love this phone. I do not have cell service at my house, yet people insist on calling my cell phone. This phone was the perfect answer. It paired with my Droid phone within seconds and the two phones found each other so quick! Additional phones for this AT&T product are much better priced than my last AT&T phone system. It can be paired with two blue tooth devices so both my son and myself have our Droid phones attached, no more missed calls. Phone tells you when the call is a cell call or a home call and displays the caller's number even when it's a call going to the cell.
Can have different ringtones for different callers.

I went to best buy looking to purchase the more expensive bluetooth phone. Lucky for me they were out of them. This is a great phone. I paired my droid with the base without a problem. Uploading my cell phone’s contacts to the base was easy to do, as well. If you are technologically challenged this phone is for you. Every feature of phone is accessible via the main menu button. I changed the tone on the phone to distinguish between cell phone and a lan line calls.
I have only had one issue with the phone, the pairing no longer worked. I unplugged the base, plugged it back in then the pairing worked again.
If you want more bang for your buck, this phone is for you.

Worthless piece of junk!

The range on this phone is absolutely nil! My car's bluetooth does a much better job at locating my cell phone and pairing at detection. But with this phone, If my cell phone is in my purse, it won't pick up the bluetooth, even if my purse is sitting right next to the base. We have received about a 100 cell phone calls at home since the purchase of this phone and yet only about 5 have rung on this phone, despite our having a tiny house. I constantly have to manually get this phone to recognize our cell phones to only have it drop the signal again a few minutes later. The sound quality is horrible! Every person I talk to with it complains that they can't hear me or that I am breaking up even though the signal is perfect on my cell phone when I switch over (which I have to do for almost every call). The menu is awkward and counter-intuitive. I keep trying to use the center button to scroll as is universal in just about every other device but this phone requires that you use arrow keys.

I searched for about 6 months to find just the right phone system for my Home Office/ Home. This phone is absolutely perfect for this scenario. I needed a phone that could sync up to two (2) cell phone and still allow me to operate handsfree.
I bought the bluetooth headset that AT&T recommended for the phone system and it is wonderful, clear and comfortable.
Now when I arrive back home from and appt. both my cell phone automatically sync up to my landline phone allow me to answer all calls in one convenient place. It also allows me to not answer the other line and the call will go to the appropriate voice mail box.
I just love it.

This phone is not people friendly to set up or operate. At least, not for me. It looks good & is small. I like the speaker part also. However, I still have problems using it. Would have rather bought an easier version as I am not too good with tech info. Probably would be great for a younger person, tho.

I purchased this device for my elderly father, because it was easier then his cellphone to hold, and use. I pared it with the phone, but it would not receive calls. I tried another cellphone and the same thing.
I called tech support, and they told me not all cellphone are compatible with this unit. Nowhere in the instructions or on the box does it state this. Beware before buying, and make sure your phone is compatible. I have to return for a different brand!
