DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Last Friday I bought the At&T cordless home phone that connects to bluetooth enabled cell phones. I purchased the extra handsets and spent over $500. On Tuesday the base died so I bought two new base stations (one as a back up --- for an extra $100 including the warranty that I never buy but in this case....). After getting home I discovered I could not deregister the extra handsets from the dead base. I called At&T. The explained the ONLY way to deregister the handsets was to to have the old base do it. I explained that the base died after three days. They were not helpful at all. I had two options. One was to return all of the phones to the store and start over or mail them to AT&T ... and after they received them ... at my expense, they would mail me reprogrammed phones after 14 days. This meant I had to wait over a month to have phones. I will NEVER buy another AT&T product. The phones were great for three days and the blue tooth was awesome but if your base dies, you are totally out of luck!!!!!!!!!
Best Buy was very understanding and helpful.

I'm so glad that I read the reviews for this phone...was going to buy the Panasonic, but AT&T had a better overall rating. I just installed the phone about an hour or so ago and LOVE IT! I have checked out and tested the cell phone paired up with the LAN line and it works fantastic...what technology!! I can switch back and forth while on either line to put one on hold and asnwer the other...gotta love that! The only draw back, and it certainly is not a biggie with me, is the ring volume, could be a little louder. Other than that, so far, love the phone and worth every penny I paid, which is such a great price for what you get!

Nice Phone Set

This phone set works great. It is definite step up from my old vtech set that was worn out after six + years. The cell phone connectivity is an occasional bonus but not a critical success factor since we use VOIP and don't need to juggle minutes. The visual new voicemail indicator light on the base and icon on the handsets is a nice feature. I haven't dropped a handset yet to test durability, but they seem solid enough. The only time it 'searched for base' was when the line was not completely clicked into the base, so I suggest that the people who complained about that check their connections thoroughly. I also suggest that those who drop their rating because the handsets don't have a handset jack check the specs and reviews before they buy their next phone.

I bought this phone for my parents so that they could use the bluetooth capability. It was my hopes that they could use their cell phone minutes to make long distance calls and this would be a good option for them. However not 4 months after having this phone they tell me that these phones repeatedly say SEARCHING FOR BASE. They have to unplug the base and replug it in again. As of today they have had to unplug and replug in the base everyday for the last 5 days. Very Very disappointed. I cant believe that I wasted money on this phone and made things more difficult for my parents.

AT&T JUNK!

I bought this phone because of the 6.0 DECT and the bluetooth connection. Well, can only pair one cell phone. Always says searching for base! At least every other day, couple days even when setting on the base! Sets on the base all night and as soon as you move it off the base within a couple minutes goes to two bars on the battery. Called customer service they said it may have to be moved or put higher in the air! It is on my end table beside my recliner. Now it says "LOAD DEFAULT DELTA FILE" Whatever that is!! CUSTOMER SERVICE, Ha! they want me to send this phone back, be without one while they determin IF it is bad and only then they will send another out.
NEVER BUY AT&T I should have stayed a loyal UNIDEN customer!

I have just had the phone for 6 weeks and it suits my purposes real well. I am not a techie so I don't have the cell phone connected yet. We go out to the back patio about 75-100 feet and able to use the phone with no problem. We have never had a problem with the base.Enjoy the lightness of the hand sets. Liked the phone so much am send on to my friend in North Carolina for a house warming gift.

The phone came and was set up easily. After batteries charged we started using phone, Thats when it all started. The sound was good , the ring nice and loud. Then at least twice a day the phone would just search for base and be inoperable until the unit was unpluged from ac power for at least 1 minute and plugged back in. Well after you unplug it you have to reset day and time and enter a new incoming call message for the answering machine. We had it for 2 weeks and brought it back for a different brand and model. SAVE YOUR MONEY !!!!!!!

Great Bluetooth Phone

I've owned this phone for over a year and it works great. I just bought this phone for my son and he loves it. We both own iPhones and the home phone links as soon as you walk in the door. I can make long distance calls from my mobile package free and use my house phone to make the call. Works great. I've dropped phone handsets and entire answering machine on the hardwood floor many times and no problems. Once in a blue moon it will lose the bluetooth connection and it relinks very quickly. I love this phone and would buy it again if given the chance. Great phone.

Great looking phone, but only for one cell phone

Great phone for the one cell phone household, great looking, with easy set up. The box states that it works with Blue tooth cell phones, but it should state that it only connects to one. I am taking the phone back to get one that connects to multiple cell phones.

I purchased this phone because I thought it would be nice to be able to use it with my cell phone. That part is nice. The part I hate is that the phones say searching for base at least twice a day. You then have to unplug the phone and wait a few minutes for it to reset. I have a 4yr old and if there was ever an emergency and my sitter would have to unplug the phone then plug it back in before making a phone call. I thought it was just that I had received a bad phone until I exchanged it for the same thing and it did it again within 24hr of plugging the phone in. I purchased the phones because my mother has AT&T and has had no problems with her models. So back to the store these go. Blue tooth enabled is not that important to me anymore.

This AT&T DECT 6.0 Expandable Cordless Phone with Bluetooth Capability
has very good sound quality and the speaker phone is the best I have ever used. The Bluetooth works great with my LG CU515 cell phone when making and receiving calls. The phone is very easy to use and the range is great! It does not interfer with my wireless network. The digital answering machine works great also. Great value for the money! I highly recommend this AT&T DECT 6.0 Expandable Cordless Phone with Bluetooth Capability.

I was so excited about the freedom I expected to experience from this phone. I thought that finally, here is a product that makes sense. I would no longer have to hurry to answer my cell. I thought that I would be free to take the call from any room in the house. Although I paired my cell to this phone, I could not pair my headset (also bluetooth) and my cell at the same time. That defeated the freedom I had hoped for. I will definately return it to the store and try another manufacturer.

My wife got one of these for her birthday in December. We had problems with it right from the start. It was constantly losing contact with the base and would show "Searching for base" on the display. In order for it to "find" the base again, the unit has to be unplugged from the power supply (110 volt) and usually the battery has to be unplugged too. Then everything is plugged back in and it once again shows "Handset 1" or 2. The second one won't work unless the first one is working. This happened repeatedly and was very frustrating. While the phone is in this state you cannot call out and you cannot receive calls. The phone will ring but you cannot answer and it will not go into the answering device. If you don't have a corded phone along with these, you are up the proverbial creek without a paddle. This happened so often that we finally returned it and swapped for one identical to it, thinking two separate units would not have the same fault. Big surprise! The second set does the same thing. Just yesterday I was standing in front of the phone with it setting on the base (!!!) and it actually changed from "Handset 1" to "Searching for base" right in front of my eyes!!! Believe me, it is going back and we will get a different brand for sure- not DECT! I'm surprised no one else has posted this problem, seeing that we had it happen with two separate units. No AT&T phones for us! Two clunkers is enough!

Only pairs with one cell phone via Bluetooth!

I can't believe no one else has mentioned this, but you can only pair ONE cell phone via Bluetooth! I'm not aware of many households where this would be workable, so I really don't understand the point of this product. The Panasonic KX-TH1212B allows two cell phones to pair with it. Otherwise, it seems to work well.

Decent but Poor Sound Quality

The phone itself works well and was easy to set up. It connects to the Bluetooth on my phone very well, but the sound quality is not very good. I really like the idea of being able to connect my cell phone to my house phone, but I would have expected higher quality from AT&T.
