I've had the unit just over a month. I cannot wait until the contract period is over to find something else to connect me to the internet. The unit is rather large...I was expecting the old style unit similar to a zip drive. It takes a minute or so for the computer to connect to the unit. It only shows a little blue light which blinks off and on infrequently to show you are still connected. You must touch a button on the side of the unit to turn it off and on, and you cannot keep the unit plugged and charged if working from a home office...very frustrating to use. If possible try satellite or cable if available.

This product seems to work as long as you do not attempt to personalize it. After I personalized this product It refused to capture a connection even though it had full bars. The item does work however, the issues all started after personalizing it. Once reset back to original settings it begins to work again. Somehow even if you are in an area with other products under the same "service" that are receiving great connections this one does not always pick up bars leaving it to be useless at times

I purchased the Mi-Fi Liberate for a supplement to our satelite Internet. It works okay but kept turning off while I was on the Internet. I returned to store within the first week asking to get out of two year contract because I wasn't happy. The person told me to take the battery out and reboot and it would be fine. So, I had to do that at least two to three times per day! I then called AT&T support and he told me to push the reset button on the back of the unit. That helped for a week or so and now I have to remove the battery and reboot almost every morning! I took back to the store just under 30 days asking to get out of the contract again but was told the policy was 15 days! So now I am stuck with the unit for two years! I am not happy and recommend to anyone that gets one to make sure the are very happy with it within the 15 day period or be stuck!

Purchased this for a trip to MIchigan. Prior to leaving I decided to try it out. Glad I did had to return to customer service as it would randomly stop working and shut off. They changed the battery as it was not taking a charge. Once in Michigan I returned again to AT & T for problems, they were rude and gave me a hard time because I bought it from Best Buy. I don't know what that was about. I would think twice before I bought this item. I am sure there are more reliable products out there.

It's easy to use and set up, but the connection is slow. Not good for streaming or downloading at all.

I had trouble from start. Took it back to BestBuy 10 days after bought it, told them what it was doing, geeks reset it told me to try it. Did do better, but still have to take battery out to get it to come on sometime. Took it back to BestBuy 2 weeks after i first took it back , they said sorry had it to long. So if you buy one from BestBuy make sure you take it back to them in 15 days

The bar indicated 80% usage but I had already overused my data. Have to recharge device after not using it for a couple of days.

It does what it is supposed to do if you are willing to move it whenever you want to use with a different device in another location. We are always moving it and our house is not large. All other modems I have worked with have had two to three times the range and they never had to be relocated to work properly.

It took me three trips to the tech department to get this to work. Over 4 hours of tech time to make it happen using multiple techs. I was told to replace the unit on the second trip which also too over an hour to accomplish. A real pain.

I think this is worth it if you don't have wifi in your home or work place but you're better off getting an iPad (this is why I signed up for this item) with 4G. I was talked into making a bad choice. I already have wifi in my home and workplace and when I needed it to work in a rural area it did not!

The product was ineffective in four different locations throughout miami. I would rarely get service and when I did, it would not stay connected more than 30 minutes before resetting or dropping service, problem could have been because of AT&T and not the item itself,

this is my first Hotspot. I got this when I purchased my Toshiba Satellite Laptop and HP e-6320 Printer at the Best Buy Store on Perimeter Drive in Charlotte, NC.

This device is about a month old and it just abrupt died. I need a constantly reliable way to connect to the internet , and this isn't the way to go! !!!

Technology isn't up to par. Seems to be a few years behind.

The mobile hotspot creates a pretty good hotspot. However, it is too bulky to carry around in a briefcase or backpack. The connection is slow. The biggest negative factor is the battery. I must be charged often and will not charge while being used, nor can it be used while plugged directly into a laptop via USB if the battery is low.
