Customers value the ZTE Maven 4G LTE for its affordability and ease of use, frequently praising its user-friendly interface. Positive feedback also highlights the camera quality and battery life, although some users wish for more storage and RAM. Pretty Good Phone for the $
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good phone for the price. It was $50. at Best Buy. Same phone sells for $20. more at AT &T stores. It appears to have a lot of features my kids' iPhones have, but I don't use them. I only use for calls and texting, so cannot report on data use. Camera is nice. I've had the phone for 6 days. On three occasions, within the first few days, I had trouble. Once, two pictures would not send, once, the screen went black during an incoming call so I could not access the call, and a few times there was no light alert after text messages received. I called AT & T and they said to be sure to power off each day for a short time to reboot internal computer. This was their solution for each issue. So far, it's working fine, so remember to power off and hopefully it will work well. I disabled a bunch of apps I will not use to prolong the life of the battery, otherwise the battery drains after one day. Also, be sure to close all opened "pages", as those are running and also sucking battery life. (I do not like to charge more than once every other day or so.)

Great phone
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Real specs (better) 1.2ghz Quad core processor (originally had a single core 1.5ghz processor and 2gb of ram. The ram was better but it was worth the way better processor) 1gb ram And bright flash Really nice.

Good phone but confusing plan info
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall the phones, I purchased two for the kids use, are good quality and run the latest version of the OS. Picture quality from the cameras is good and you can replace the battery and add SD Memory cards. I had to buy cases from an online source as they're not readily available at any local outlet. If you're buying this on the AT&T network know that you need to purchase a minimum of $30 worth of minutes in order to activate the cellular portion to obtain a phone number. Additionally that $30 is only good for 30 days before you have to renew. Overall it's a good phone and for the price, it was under $20 when I bought them, it's a good value.

Simple User Friendly
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I first used the phone, I was able to customize the settings to what I like without problems. I was able to navigate through the phone without the book or instructions. Definitely worth the price for what it's worth. It loses one star because it hasn't been a year yet and so far, apps such as facebook would just stay in toggling mode and it would lose wi-fi service. Restarting the phone seems to be the fix for this problem. So restarting the phone at least once a day seems to be needed as a daily dose for this phone to work successfully. (months after purchasing and being used extensively.)

Warning BB incorrect specs listed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bestbuy has listed incorrect specs for this phones Ram and front camera good enough for video calls. But I will base my review on correct specs of what the phone really is and look past their giant uncorrected mistake. Pros: Cheap and best bang for the buck for local retail to outright purchase a NEW GSM 4g phone NOW. 4G LTE. Android 5.0. Front camera. Auto screen brightness. Memory sufficient for FB, youtube, netflix, and a few games 8GB but after system use it is more like 3.5GB (SD cards are cheap online). Power saving modes. 4.5" perfect for one hand use and pocket phone when paired with a folio wallet case. Back speaker decent. No issues with GPS and bluetooth. for 2200 mAh battery not running a lot of back ground programs it will last a whole day for just phone and messaging. Front camera has auto and manual camera settings, and silent camera. Cons: incorrect listed specs (listed 2gb RAM and front camera 2MP but it's actually 1GB RAM and front camera is 0.3 VGA. 5MP Front Camera needs bright light or flash (pics can easily be grainy and blurry in low light). Cases anywhere is a small selection of choice. Non- removable battery. Screen viewing angle and outside bright light is mehh but actually no different then the HTC 610 screen if you have seen that one. OTHER: I have this phone on a BYOP with net10. No unlocking needed. Pop in sim card, enter net10 APN settings, and go. You get what you pay for. Cons listed are not really complaints but what the phone really is that I wish were a little better and that others might pick on. But for somebody on a budget, student, or somebody hard on phones this is a perfect solution. TY ZTE for raising the bar for cheap affordable phones. When I asked the sale person if it really was 2GB on the Ram they said absolutely. To be fair, last week when purchased, at the time even ATT & Walmart listed it as 2GB RAM but have correct it recently. I thought it was to good to be true and was double checking everywhere, even phonearena listed correct specs. BB get on the ball and fix your listed specs. I have not tried to root his yet but when I do I will update. Case selection is small. I went with a folio wallet basic black included screen cover for 8.95 online (watch for case with screen covers included). They have fitted and then You will see a universal type fitting case with a larger opening for camera that works for z812, z813, plus other ZTE phone similar to this one. This phones model is a z812. You get what you pay for but with this phone you get just a little more then you would with any other phone currently at this price without a contract or payment plan.

Budget Phone for great price!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I think this is a very good budget having all the features of a basic smartphone that one needs these days. Backed up by latest Android 5.0, 5MP rear camera and 8GB memory, this phone is good for people who need the phone just for calling, texting, youtube and basic browsing. I bought this phone for my dad and he loved it. Being an android phone, it is easy to use as well.

Un reliable GPS
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I originally bought the zte maven to use un-activated as an offline GPS. It was replacing a Kyocera event that was used for the same purpose. I set up the GPS APP as it was on the Kyocera and tested it on the bus. To my surprise the signal would go in and out and was very unreliable. It was not the area I was in because it worked flawlessly on the Kyocera. As far as the rest of the phone it is quick and snappy. The back camera is decent but the front cam is unusable. Sound quality is good through both headphones and the internal speaker. I'm only giving it three stars because the GPS is unreliable and the front camera is total trash. Also there is a 15 day return policy which I exceeded so I'm stuck with the phone. If u need a decent smartphone with either AT&T or consumer cellular and don't use navigation often or take selfies than its a good phone. As a side note there is about 3GB of user accessible storage.

Excellent at $20
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this item on sale at $20 to be used as a home security camera. Honestly, not a bad phone for the money. Feels solid and well built and has a good grip in the hand. I love tech stuff so I fiddled around with it for a while before setting it up as the security camera. Really fast responsive phone overall. Screen is lackluster and camera isn't the sharpest, but still better than you would expect for the price. On a tight budget I could stand using this as my everyday phone. Runs lollipop perfectly and only had a handful of extra apps out of the box with the ability to disable. Overall I would say it's about what you would expect for a $100-150 phone. So, at $20 it was an absolute steal. I would still consider it a good deal at $40-60, but you can often find the Moto E at $40-60 and I liked that phone better.

Good phone for less than $20
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It was on sale and it is superb for the price. Android touch phone. It can't compare to my iPhone 6s but it's a good secondary phone. I'll probably use that phone as my primary if in case my iPhone is broken or stolen. No more expensive phones for me as these phones will do its job.
