I have had this for about a month. It's really easy to use and it has been very useful for me when I've been in places where I can't connect to traditional wi-fi. My only complaint is that I loaded it with $50 for the month and didn't realize that you will lose your unused data if you top it off before you use up data. I assumed it would add to what I didn't use and roll into the new month. NOPE! I lost about 2.5 gigs before the month was over and I had no luck with contacting customer service. So, BEWARE if you believe that you can roll over your data as it is advertised. I'll never make that mistake again!

This hotspot worked great for my girlfriend who needed to use it for work. Setting it up was easy and fast. The monthly contract allows for the flexibility you need while deciding how much data you really need. The battery also lasts for several days of use!

I travel between NY and Arizona and do not have internet set up in my place in Az. That is where this comes into play. I load up my go phone account with a few gigs and this gets me through my stays. You will not get the speeds you get through your local cable providers but this is by no means slow either. I was able to stream live video relatively smoothly. Let me mention, live video or any video will eat at your data. Overall, this gives me a temporary internet solution which saves me money and allow me to have access instead of signing up for a local provider under a contract.

This is terrific to have if you travel where there is no, or limited, WiFi available. You can use it with multiple devices and can buy as much usage as you need with no contract. I loved it.

I purchased this mobile hotspot as a stopgap while I was waiting for new broadband to be installed at my home. It works very well, although it costs quite a bit if you're moving much data or surfing extensively. Still, as a solution to get access to temporary internet, or for traveling, this is a great product, and the pay-as-you-go nature of the data plan makes it a great device to keep in your travel bag for when you need it.

Great alternative to using the hotspot feature on your phone. Range is alright, covers about 800sqft I'd say with some loss towards the edge of the bubble. Worth it for us living in the middle of nowhere with only cellphone Internet.

Pretty good product . Tried it on a recent road trip with my family and grand kids , they loved the ability to surf and stream movies along the way for about two to three days on a 5 gig card . Signal strength was strong most of the time with five users , except for a few week areas mostly mountainous wooded areas. I would strongly recommend this product.

Work as fast as advertised. It can produce the real 4G even in not a very good signal area. Also battery is last for a very long time.

This is a good product if you have no access to a good internet connection. I live in an area where internet is not available and this product gives a good connection even with just one bar. You can connect up to 5 devices and this works for my tablet, nook and laptop.

Could be better, especially AT&T's website!

The Best Buy staff were mostly great about all of this. The AT&T customer service extremely difficult to reach. When I finally complained on Facebook, AT&T got out their best... but this review is about the product, right? The AT&T - NETGEAR Spengler 4G LTE No-Contract Mobile Hotspot should have been the perfect solution for me. I have a home in the U.S. and travel there, but live most of the year abroad. Most data-solutions are not cost-effective, as I would be paying for months that I am not in the U.S. and those plans are not portable for when I travel. First, I couldn't simply use the prepaid card for adding on the machine, because I couldn't sign onto the AT&T website without a phone number assigned to the product. (It isn't necessary for the Mobile Hotspot.) The website was nearly impossible to navigate with my Smartphone from Europe. (Hear that great flushing sound? Dollars and Data, Data and Dollars from my German Travel and Surf plan!) I finally had to bring it back to the store and have it set up by one of the employees. This is a service that Best Buy charges for, so... (cha-ching!). Eventually I got it to work, but it almost immediately used up the entire 5 Gb. I can't imagine on what. When advertisements and videos are forced on you by many websites, it becomes very costly to the end-user. The advertisers should be paying for that forced data, not me. This is a product and a plan that should have been smooth and easy, but I found myself struggling with managing it at every turn. It would be great if there was a plan for travelers that was unlimited data for a flat rate on a weekly or monthly basis. Or maybe a SIM card and number for travelers that will allow another number to be forwarded.

Was great for vacation where wifi was not available. The way At&t handles data/time is a little odd but still think it is the best option for Internet access when traditional options aren't available.

Hotspot good for travel, etc. Not good for everyday home use unless you are willing to spend a lot of dollars for the service. We started with the 5GB plan, Service slows down dramatically once you reach about 50% of your allowance.

Bought t his after spending time with Kara, the sales clerk and comparing it to Verizon. The netgear mobile hotpots gets more coverage than Verizon did. It was very easy to use. Was set up for me in the store. Good size, can fit in purse or shirt pocket.
